Repair went exceptionally well. This company is exceptionally responsive! They are quick, fast, do a great job. And to top it off - they send thank you notes for your business! You can't beat that for great customer service. This is a good business model.

They were punctual. They got the work done that we needed them to do. They knew what they were doing. They told us what they were going to do.

It was done quickly and professionally. When they were removing the gutters, I was worried that they were going to hit some of our windows and they did hit one of our out door lamps. They swept it but they fixed it and they finally left. I felt that they were reasonably priced. Afterwards they showed me the work and explained any adjustments that they had to do, and I was very pleased with them.

They did a really good job, the price was right, and they were very respectful. On the third visit, he was on time, didn't charge me, and was very nice. They are very honest and took pictures before and after when doing the roof job. They kept me well informed and weren't just trying to get money out of me by telling me I needed a whole new roof, like another company that I called.

They were excellent. We were pleased with their response and the work they did.

On Nov 7th Willie Cumberland came out to repair the roof. It seems that the shingles were not put on properly and that the nails had worked lose in several areas. Also the seals around the flashing and the ventilation pipe were shot and had to be replaced. You could look from the roof down into my attic and that is where the water went. From there it went into my son's bedroom. While the time from November 2nd to November 7 seems a long time to wait for repairs, it was not the fault of Marshalls, but rather my job as an election official did not not allow me to take time off during the recent election. I was just thankful it did not rain during that time. Mr. Cumberland was very professional, coming on time, neatly dressed and explained what he was going to do and then proceed to do as planned. It did not take a long time, but he was very thorough, checking the whole roof, and not just the area that was leaking.

They were good. They did a good job. They were the only company who came out during a rainy weekend as we had a leaky roof. I loved the fact that they were very responsive. The guy who came out and looked at it worked beyond his normal work hour to repair the roof which was critical as it was raining heavily and as there was leak into our bathroom. All the other companies told us that they would get back to us in 2 or 3 days time period. Their fee was reasonable. If there was any extra fee because of the rush I would expect it.

We had recently hired Marshall to do another project which they did well. During our discussions regarding the other project, the sales representative mentioned that his company installed replacement skylights. We decided to have Marshall install replacement skylights and were quite pleased that we did. The job was quick and the workers created no mess. We had assumed that some mess would arise dure the nature of the job, so we were pleasantly surprised by how seamless the install was. As we have had significant rain in the last week, we know the install was technically competent. This was a "high impact" project. The house immediately was improved by these skylights. We probably should have done this a long time ago.

We had a pretty good experience with them. They came and gave us a quote. We negotiated about it a bit. Then, they came and did the work. It was a real small job, and they did it real quickly. There weren?t any problems.

The measure of a company is often determined by what they do when there is a hiccup in the plan. In our case there was a mutual misunderstanding about the color of the gutters (perpetuated in part by a husband - me - not fully coordinating with a wife and partner). My wife came home after the gutters had been installed and, after conferring with the installer, determined that there was a color closer to the exterior paint color of the house. She asked the installer to stop work while she checked options. To their immense credit, Marshall agreed to redo the gutters for a very reasonable add-on, and were back at the house two days later to finish the job. The result is terrific - technically and aesthetically. The estimation and scheduling experience was crisp and worked well. I was given numbers of clear options - including an idea about keeping the gutters the same size but increasing the size of the downspouts - that I wouldn't have thought of, but chose as part of our solution. So - overall, a great experience.

The estimate for the work was very good and it went very well. They crew was very good when they came out. They set a date and they were able to come out and get all of the work done on time. I was not very happy with the office team. I had to call the office again and again if I ran into any questions, because they would not respond.

I do not know a lot about roofing, however I thought that they did a decent job and they came in right where they said that they would. Roofing is a big dirty job and I thought that they made the best of it. They warned us when things were going to be messy and they made sure to clean up after themselves. I took some time to compare prices and I thought that they were very reasonable. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They are a local company that is close to where I live. Their price and quality is a good. I will use this company in the future.

The project went exceptionally well. So well, that we have already contracted for another project. The work was done in a timely and quality manner. The project supervisor was pleasant and professional as were the workers. Chris, the marketing representative was honest and helpful. He acted as a project coordinator and explained the work processs, deadlines, any technical issues which arose. He was interested in out feedback and was responsive to any concerns/requests we had along the way. He came out regularly to evaluate the project and get our feedback and then at the end to confirm that we were pleased with the project. This was a very positive experience. The appearance of our house was greatly improved and the process was very pleasant (which is rare in the world of project contracting).

Chris is wonderful to work with. I had to wait a few days for an estimate visit, but Chris came armed with years of experience and knowledge, as well as sample books with different vendors' vinyl so we could pick something that would look similar to our old aluminum. Once we signed our contract, Chris got us scheduled. We had indicated that we had a deadline of the end of the month. He honored that. He called to let me know a tentative date and then followed up with an exact start a couple days before. The morning of the install, he called to let me know the workers were on their way and he would be stopping to talk with them as well. The workmen worked hard from 8:30-6:00 so they could finish the job and then cleaned up. I have not found any wayward nails or debris, they did such a good job. We are so pleased.

I liked them because they told me the truth. They went up to see the situation and gave me correct information about what needed to be done and what was not needed.

They were very thorough and professional. They did not try to steer me towards a particular shingle. I have found that some roofers try to push you towards they want to use. I will probably be using them for the work.

When the repair technician started the job he realized that the roof sheathing was OK and undamaged. He only need to re-nail the sheathing and re-shingle. He explained this and asked my opinion before proceeding. I agreed. This saved me $150! Their work was 1st class as was their integrity and honesty!

Working with Marshall?s was a dream. I?ve had a bad experience with a landscape contractor in the past and I hated the idea of working with another one. I joined Angie?s List so I would never make the mistake again. We interviewed Marshall?s and two other Angie's List top score vendors. After meeting Chris Butler (Vice President) and looking at his estimate the decision was pretty much made. His estimate was the most detailed of the three. He took his time going over the house; asking me what I wanted done. It helped that I had interviewed other candidates before him because I knew what to ask about. He was on time for the estimates and on time for the follow up conversations. There was never a hard sell or any pressure at tall. The estimate took Chris about 3 hours to put together, the longest of the contractors I interviewed, which he completed in his truck after interviewing me. Chris never asked me about the other guys estimate was or who they were. He never spoke in a negative way about any of the other vendors. And while Marshall's estimate was the lowest, that's not why we chose them. He left and said that all Marshall?s wants is to put in an honest day?s work for an honest day?s pay. That?s exactly what I got. Chris was here every morning to check how things were going. The supervisor, Seu, was here through out the day. The crew cleaned up every night. Including sweeping and putting as much siding and debris in the truck and hauling it away as would fit-stacking neatly what wouldn?t fit. The guys were also kind to my children. While I tried to keep them out of the way, my son was fascinated and they never yelled at him. They answered all his questions and let him and the kids I was watching that afternoon run the magnet to pick up all the loose nails. When they left, it looked like they had never been here, except my house looked GORGEOUS! They said 5 days and that?s how long it took. I?m a pleased customer. I would definitely recommend this company. I wish they did landscaping :-)

All we wanted were replacements for the leaking skylights in the master bath and office of our 30-year-old townhouse. However, Marshall sent one of its VPs to do the estimate, and he convinced us following an inspection that the roof, too, absolutely needed replacement. His estimate was not much higher than another (Angie's List) company's guess for just replacing the skylights, so we went with Marshall. They did a great job at a reasonable price -- not only do we have new, energy efficient skylights, but the attic fan now works more efficiently, and our electricity bills are down.

I was very pleased. They were on time. The price was very fair.

Great! We needed a roofer to come out and check our roof because we felt that there may be a leak around the DirecTV dish. Contacted company by phone, worker scheduled to come out on Friday 7/31. DirecTV was coming out the same day to get rid of the old dish and install the new HD dish. Our roofer, Willie Cumberland, arrived at the agreed-on time and took a look at the problem area. I explained that DirecTV was coming out any minute to install the new dish. Willie advised that it would be more cost-effective for us if he were to come out when DirecTV was finished, so that he could check their work and make sure everything was sealed correctly, and make any needed repairs. We appreciated his honesty! As soon as DirecTV was finished, we called Marshall Roofing again and asked to have Willie come out and take a look. After checking our roof, he called to let us know what he found. He arrived on the agreed-upon day, completed the work and left an invoice. DirecTV installed the new HD dish but left the bracket for the old dish. Willie checked and sealed around both brackets and also resealed around the plumbing collars, heat stack and flange. Their minimum charge is $250, and this was a small job, so the bill came to $250 exactly. There is a one-year warranty on the labor. Willie told us that sealing around TV dishes is one of their most common services, since the installers for DirecTV and other companies do not always seal the brackets properly when installing dishes. What a relief to find a roofing company that is so honest, reasonably priced and comes so highly recommended! We will definitely use Marshall Roofing in the future and plan to recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Very satisfied. They came when they said they would and were very professional.

The staff in the office was very helpful and professional and I had someone at my house for an estimate within a week. I picked Marshall over three other companies that had similar bids because the gentleman who came to look at the roof made a good impression, explained in detail the work that would be done, explained why they use the product for flat roofs that they do, and gave me information to look online if I wanted to do more research for myself. Once I sent in the contract I did not hear from them for a few weeks- and that would be my only comment- however I will say that at that same time the sun finally came out and I imagine they were very busy very quickly. I called and they did have me scheduled- I just didnt know. They were at the house at 9am, cleaned everything as they went along. I think it looked better when they left! I only interacted with the crew briefly, but they were polite and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Marshall or use them again.

Update as of July 28, 2009: We did receive a follow up call from the owner that stated he was going to follow up with his appointment setter and gave his apologies. We really appreciated the phone call and concern of this business owner.
