Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows

Today I came home and James, the guy who rebuilt the roof for me was waiting in my driveway. He said the rood was fine and that rain must have gotten pushed up into the j-channel of the siding because it was not sealed. Even tho it was not part of the repair, James climbed up and sealed the j-channel for me and asked that I call him if I experienced any more leaks. The price? No charge. I was already very happy with Marshall's and will use them to replace my entire roof when it comes due in a couple of years. THANKS JAMES!!

Marshalls did a outstanding job starting with working with the estimator, Chris, then the foreman and crew and ending with the follow-up. The attention to detail, the quality of workmanship, the willingness to work with the customer, made this project totally painless. Little details like having all nails and caulking the same color as the siding & trim was not expected but really appreciated as it made the job look so much more professional. I have used this company in the past to replace my roof and I wanted to use them again if possible as I was totally pleased with that job. Given the work provided, I do not think the price paid for the siding/trim was unreasonable.

When I phoned, they were able to send a Tech right away that was in the area. I met him at home and he assesd the situationquickly. Told me the problem and how it will be fixed. Luckily I had spare shingles at home and as he had time quickly fixed the problem right there and then. Fast, Knowledgeable and Good Work cant ask for better.

Getting a large amount of water inside my two story family room. Looked like it could have been poor caulking or a flashing problem around one of the windows close to the roof line. They came and gave an estimate promptly and came back in two weeks to perform the work. When they came to do the work it became apparent after some time that the flashing was OK but that there was a busted seal on the window. They used caulk to fix the seal and waited to water test. They also fixed several loose eave vents that I could not get to because of their 30' height above the ground. Great guys.

James was very professional and informative when he did the estimate. He was punctual to arrive to do the repairs, completed the repairs with efficiency, and continued to be professional and communicative. I was very happy with the repairs and would recommend this company readily. Thanks!

Great experience on a basic project. Got immediate responses from Marshall office from scheduling the estimate to the actual date of service. Tim was very professional, all preventative maintenance was done quickly. Company was very easy to do business with.

It is a very large company. The services went very well. I had no issues with them at all.

I had 6 different companies come to my house to give me estimates. They range between $3900 to $4900. For the roof only, Marshall's estimate was $4390 which was in the range. At the end I paid more because I had them do other work (gutter topper, siding around windows). No money upfront, I paid after the work was done and done to perfectionthe person that came for the estimate explained everything and answered all my questions. He definitely was not pushy which I liked. He explained the job they would do and even brought me outside to show me why certain things needed to be done. If later I had a question it was very easy to reach him by phone.The team that worked on my roof did an excellent job, I could not have asked for better. They gave me a date and time and they were exactly on time. They were super polite and nice and cleaned up great after they were finished; they even went to my neighbor's backyard to make sure there weren't any nails or other debris. Since I had 3 different things done (roof, siding, and gutters) I had 3 different teams that came do the work, they each had their own specialty, that's the way Marshall's roofing works, he does not send a roofer to do your gutters. They all worked for Marshall's but they all had their own specialty so you know the job is well done.In the end the roof job was super and so were the siding and gutter topper.I definitely recommend them and I would use them again.Marie Normand

While it took over a month from the scheduling of an initial appointment to get an estimate to getting the actual work done, we were very pleased with the final results. The delay was a result of their busy schedule and cold and rainy weather, which caused our work to be rescheduled more than once. Everyone we dealt with at Marshall Roofing was friendly, courteous and professional, especially Chris Butler who provided the estimate (and patiently answered many questions) and Ken and Mike who performed the actual removal and replacement of the gutters and downspouts. Ken and Mike were very knowledgeable and pleasantly addressed questions and concerns we had and never made us feel like we were a nuisance. They cleaned up well when the job was done. The thank you note from Chris Butler following completion of the work was a nice customer service touch.

I called to get an estimate set up as I have a leak in my house. Immediately I was asked if repair or replacement needed- I advised not sure at this point, I need someone to look at it and provide options. Obviously if it can be repaired I would prefer the more cost effective option. At that point I was put on hold for over 5 minutes and the rep came back and told me the first appointment available is June 6th- that is three weeks away- not very reasonable when you have water leaking into your house! Don't waste my time putting me on hold if I am going to have to wait three weeks for an estimate- apologize and advise you can't assist right now.

When I called to schedule a free estimate they not only scheduled it, but also gave me the name and number of the person coming so that I could call and check in. Also, they called and confirmed a few days later. When they came they were polite and friendly and luckily had the materials on hand to replace the missing shingles. They also took a look at the whole roof and gave us a few recommendations for future care. Overall a great experience.

Overall, a waste of my time and money because Northern Virginia builders do not seem to be able to find a stud to nail into even to save their own lives!

They were very good. There was a problem and they had to come back. We had vinyl soffits that were not done completely correctly but they did come back and fix them. The pricing included the vinyl covering around the eaves. They did have to come back to do some adjustments but there was not a problem getting it done.

There was a little miscommunication during the guttering phase but quickly addressed. Other than that there was no drama.The people involved went on about their business, totally focused on their individual responsibilities. Other than the noise of removing the existing shingles and the air nailers for installing the new shingles it was actually a quiet work zone. This is the largest expenditure we've ever made on our home and choosing Marshall was a decision we had been working toward for years. As a contractor myself, the key ingredient in choosing other contractors is work history. Marshall Roofing has been a Super Service Award winner for many years in a row. As one myself for the last couple years, I know personally the type of commitment it takes to achieve this accolade. We couldn't be happier with the results and we don't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Marshall Roofing is absolutely fantastic. We got them through the Washington check book. Everything is top grade one can possibly get. They are just fantastic people. They had been highly recommended in the check book. The price was good and the service was good. One of the things that people complaint about when the roofers leave is that all the nails are left around, but there was not one nail left around. They are very, very good. My husband would not have hired them if they didn’t have a really good price.

IMarshall Roofing provided one of the three quotes I got for installing a new roof and replacing five skylights. The salesman, Doug McLeaf schjeduled a day and time to do the proposal and he showed up right on time. After a brief meeting, he said he would go up on the roof to measure and take a look. Within 45 minutes, he had completed his notes, taken the measurements and printed out a proposal. We had selected the brand and type shingle we wanted and he told me we could see that shingle and others at a nearby distributor and he encouraged us to go and look and what was available. There was no pressure to sign the contract. He just said that if/when we were ready, we should just call the office and they would mail the contract. We did so and the work was scheduled for Monday April 16th. The 16th dawned beautiful and sunny but, no roofers showed up. When I called the office, I was told that the install crew had taken longer than expected on the previous job, they had to work on Sunday and they wouldn't be coming that day. The crew did show up on Tuesday, took off all the old shingles and finished for the day by covering up the roof with sheeting. The crew showed up Wednesday but had barely gotten on the roof when it started raining. Thursday was sunny and bright and they finished that day. The crew did very nice work. They did a great job of cleaning up. I've not found one nail or even a piece of shingle laying in the yard. RE: the crew not showing up on the first day. This was not weather-related which would have been understandable. After a few back & forths with Doug the salesman and Troy Marshall, the owner (who makes himself readily available!!), they made a very reasonable accomodation. I would highly recommend Marshall Roofing.

They were very professional. The work appeared to be very excellent. I only had one other estimate and it was really high. I would absolutely use them again.

The service provided was fantastic. I felt very comfortable with the estimate. The technician found some additional flaws on the roof of the portico that I did not know about and could not see from the entryway. I was not home when he came to do the work, but it was clearly done well. No mess was left behind.

They did a very good job. I spent around $4500 to $4700. They had put in 2 windows that were casements a year and a half ago. I liked the windows and they had done a good job so I had them do the bedroom windows a year and half later. I wanted a 2 feet wall built up as I had thought of ceiling windows in the living room and nobody else wanted to do it, but Marshall was willing to do that for me. They built up the wall that I wanted. I did research the windows in terms of energy efficiency and I wanted a different company than that normally did and they were willing to get the windows that I wanted. They got me vytex windows which was what I wanted. Those are the most energy efficient windows. They just did a great job. I had a minor problem and they actually came out a week ago and fixed the problem. I needed a quote to have some roof repair and there's a different guy that does the roofing. The guy who does the windows is fabulous. I would use them again in the future for windows if need be.
