Very professional, good job of cleaning up. Good communication - high quality work. I have received many compliments from neighbors. Highly recommend their services. Price was mid-range from the five vendors we solicited quotations from. Estimator was very proficient and explained the process and options in detail.

The estimator show up on time and spent a lot of time with me discussing the leaks. He went up into the attic and on the roof and took pictures so I could see where the leaks were coming from. A week or so later the repairman fixed the roof and also took pictures so I could see what was done. Marshall sent very qualified and professional people, were on time and did the work at a fair price.

We had an infrequent but nasty problem with water leaking into the house from outside during heavy rainstorms, at the upper corner of a large extension window with a mini-roof and gutter above it. We had it looked at by a different roofing company, who made some adjustments to the flashing at the end of the gutter, and we thought they had fixed it. A couple of months later, the problem came back again, leaking in and soaking the drywall again. We called the first company, and they came back out and made some more fixes. A couple of months later, the problem happened yet again. We gave up on the first company and called Marshall Roofing instead. James Winters came out and inspected the area very carefully, and he found that the flashing at the end of the gutter had been improperly installed by the builder, which is why we kept having problems. He replaced the flashing entirely, installing it the right way this time, and also checked the entire gutter and the one above it on the main roof, fixing a number of potential problems that he found there as well. We delayed posting a review because we wanted to make sure the problem was really solved, after it had recurred before. It has now been 5 months and many heavy rainstorms and blizzards since James fixed it, and the problem has never returned. We finally felt safe enough to fix the inside damage to the drywall and repaint it. We are very happy that James identified the problem and fixed it once and for all. He is very professional and thorough, as well as being polite and easy to work with. We would definitely hire Marshall again for any roofing problems in the future, and we would ask for James in particular due to our good experience with him.

We needed a roof repair estimate just as the big snow approached Northern Va. Marshall Roofing came through for us when we really needed it. They were able to do the estimate right away. Their free inspection and estimate for roof repair were thorough and the price was fair. Other companies couldn't get to us for weeks. Repair was scheduled as soon as the roof was free of snow. Despite glitches in the timeline (caused by us) Elizabeth got us on the calendar. The roofer showed up on time, repaired the roof, and cleaned up thoroughly. No payment was made until the job was done. Thank you, Elizabeth and Chris, for your good work and kind manner.

Mr.Thomas came back at the arranged date and time and made the repairs as anticipated. The bill was $325 and hopefully that fixed the problem. We will probably have to wait for another really big snow storm to know for sure. We were very happy with the service that Mr. Thomas and Marshall Roofing provided and the price we paid for the repair. We would certainly recommend them and also would use them again if needed.

Professionally installed -- good service and nice guys to work with.

Mark the carpenter spent a significant amount of time trying to determine the best and most economical solution for an unusual situation. Other companies who were asked to provide estimates refused to address the problem. Mark's recommendations addressed the problem. The final work product was fantastic.

On window installation day, three men appeared on-time, clean, respectful, professional, organized with their equipment and ready for work. We hired Marshall to replace four double sash windows in a bedroom. Most of the window work takes place from inside the room so we took normal precautions about moving furniture out of the way and protecting the floor. The installers also spread drop cloths. Removal of existing windows and installation of the new windows took approximately three hours. During their work, the installers were pleasant in their demeanor and focused on the work. I thought they were very good. Talking to one of the men, I learned that they each had good longevity with Marshall (ten years for one of the men) which indicates to me a good working situation for the installers and the company owners. I would definitely hire Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows again. Regarding the windows: I am happy with the style, options and quality of the Paradigm windows.

We contacted Marshall Roofing based on Angie's list reviews, but also because we'd had two friends use this company within the last couple of years who were highly satisfied with their roof replacements. Although we ended up choosing another company, our experience with Marshall was quite positive. Marshall Roofing sent an experienced estimator to evaluate our 25 year old roof, and to offer us a proposal. We appreciated his professionalism and his familiarity with the somewhat unusual roof configuration we've got. He talked with us about the challenges in re-roofing our deck style house (all living areas are on the second floor - bedrooms, kitchen, living room) with cathedral ceilings throughout. Forty years ago, the builder designed this house so the low-slope roof has a layer of insulation board on top of the cathedral ceiling, then shingles. He did not include a plywood or OSB layer to the roof. We took a long time weighing roofing options, since none of the five proposals offered quite the same recommendations. We benefited from what we learned from the Marshall estimator, and appreciated his willingness to share his knowledge.

Were were absolutely satisfied with the work that Robert at Marshall's did for us. After we had a disastrous experience with Timothy's Roofing Company Inc, we hired Marshall's to re-do the work that was hastily and shoddily done by Timothy's. Not only did Marshall's charge us less that Timothy's, they actually did the job to standard. Marshall's was very prompt and responsive to all our inquiries and gave us a very thorough explanation and estimate for repairing the roof. Robert did a top rate job and we will definitiely use Marshall's for any roof work we need done in the future. Thank you to Robert and all those at Marshall's roofing!

Marshall's Exterior Consultant Jeremy Ervin provided prompt, professional and courteous responses to all my questions, whether in person, by email or on the phone. He gave reasonable estimates that matched the final invoice and even added trim work around our back door at no extra charge that I had forgot to include in my service request. Marshalls work crews arranged their schedules to accommodate the crew from another company that was building our deck at the same time. The crews always arrived on time, did a professional job quickly and efficiently and left no trace behind when they left each day. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the service, price and final results and would highly recommend Marshall's to anyone looking to have their roof or siding replaced.

I signed a contract with Marshall Roofing. They sent a final bill with an increased amount. I asked the office manager why there was an increase from the signed estimate and she said the workers decided to put larger gutters on part of the house and increase the price. I admit I went back and forth with whether to go with the bigger size or not, but ultimately signed for the contract smaller 5" gutters. For making me pay an extra $200 they have lost a customer and additional work I was planning on the front of my house. This was their error without my consent yet the office manager was so inflexible I did not feel like fighting with her, despite having a signed document at a lower price. It is too soon to say whether they did a good job, but the work has very good reviews. Update - the owner called me and made this right.

Marshall did an excellent and professional job. Their prices were very competitive and they were on time. I highly recommend doing business with them again.

I spoke with three contractors for this job. Marshall's bid was originally the most expensive by a little, but they agreed to do the job for the same price as the next-lowest (a few hundred $$ difference). Marshall is busy, I had to wait a few weeks to get Chris Butler out to visit, but from there things moved fast. Chris is clearly very experienced, and while on the roof inspecting and measuring he identified several potential issues the other contractors had missed. He also knew the siding product I had selected very well, and offered an alternative corner treatment that would save us about $550. I had questions about how the siding would interface with the existing wrapped window trim, and Chris was able to describe how all the pieces would fit together. By the time he left, I was very confident that his estimate would be complete and correct, with no 'surprises' midway through the job. He left me a folder with his card (including cell phone #), a brochure on the siding, and current copies of liability and workers compensation insurance - without me even having to ask! In contrast, one of the other contractors didn't even bother to get up on the roof, he just looked from the ground and took a few pictures. He was the low bid, but I suspect there would have been extra costs later. Later the same day I had a proposal in my e-mail, which I accepted and we scheduled the work. I had to chase the other two contractors to get their proposals, which was a pain. The work was delayed a few days by late arrival of materials and then a day by rain, but was completed within a week of the original schedule, and communication from Chris was proactive throughout. The crew began work on a Friday, and finished about 4/5 of the job that day. To my surprise they returned first thing Saturday morning to finish, which took them 2 or 3 hours. Cleanup of the site was excellent. Despite it being very windy on the days they worked, I found less than one handful of debris remaining scattered in the landscaping. One of the reasons we had the siding replaced was to stop some minor leaks. Chris spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting, and explained and showed me how some of the roofing was installed improperly when the house was built, which is likely contributing to the leaks. He sealed up the problems he found, but if that doesn't work I will need a partial roof replacement. If that happens I will not hesitate to hire Marshall to do the work. Chris is an absolute professional and our experience with Marshall couldn't have been better.

Marshall Roofing I have used twice. They were here closer to November. I would give them an A on everything except price.

Marshall did an excellent job installing our new roof. Estimator Doug McCleaf was very responsive and professional, and did excellent job explaining the work and how they would deal with some complex flashing issues. We highly recommend anyone needing roof work to reach out to Marshall for an estimate. Our new roof looks great and we will no doubt consider them for windows or siding in the future. The schedulers (Annette) also did a great job communicating with us regarding timing and rain delays.

Chris Thomas showed up as scheduled to see where the leak was. He was very polite and easily explained everything to me. He put a temporary patch in place that day to stop further leaking. Once scheduled, Chris returned as scheduled and did the repair in under 2 hours (replacement shingles, some plywood replacement, and re-shingling/sealing attic fan). Very honest and reasonable prices! I would definitely recommend!

. Right after I called the company I received an email and a phone call from the owner of the company Mr. Troy and his son Matt offering to help me with my project. Chris provided estimate for the roof work. On a different date the company's carpenter Jason came and looked at the wood work and provided estimate for two alternative scenarios. The carpentry work was slightly pricey for me so I could not proceed with it. However, the shingle replacement part of it was very reasonable so I took their bid gladly. Today, Chris and his assistant Robby came on time and did not waste a minute. They were extremely knowledgeable (they educated me a lot on the source of the problem, what it has caused, what they are going to do to fix it and what other things to watch out in the future and so on). They were very friendly, and efficient in their work. I am amazed at the level of their professionalism, discipline, and overall attitude and value for customer service. After they completed their work, they cleaned up everything and offered me to call them if I have any concern after they left. I am very much impressed by the degree of their professionalism, kind heartedness, service orientation, and precision in the way they do their job. Thank you Chris and the Marshall roofing. I can't wait to see you on another project.

My husband called Marshall last week to report damage in a job that the company did about three months ago. He spoke with Elizabeth, who made all the arrangements for a technician to assess the damage and repairs on Tuesday, Nov. 10. We were told that the technician will come betweeh 10 and 11 AM. You never know with these schedules, they are usually off and one is left waiting and waiting. But not with this company. Kenny came even before 10 AM, which was great. After he did his inspection, Kenny said he will make sure that the repair is scheduled as soon as possible. And he made clear that the repair will be at no cost to us. We are very pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of everyone we have engaged with in this company. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

It went great! The tech showed up slightly early (no negative here), introduced himself & got to work. Gave me an estimate upon completion & talked me through the work needed. The whole process was about 15-20 minutes. The quoted price was also lower than all the competitors.

I asked them out to check on the roof they replaced a year ago as I was having a problem with a bathroom ceiling. There was no leak, but he replaced/repaired some flashing around the heater vent to the outside.

Excellent. Responsive. Was able to schedule quickly and make repair during initial visit. Explained everything and provided before and after photos.

We used Marshall Roofing through you guys. That was a process. I used them twice on basic construction on the front of the house. We had some leaking windows. When the guy came to do the estimate, and I got an estimate for replacing our front door, and it took us months to negotiate what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost. I mean literally we started in September and I think they came in March or April. The actual settling of the deal was excruciatingly painful but he did a nice job on the front of the house so I mean it just took forever to get going. Before he came I called them also and said that I had a roof problem of a bunch of shingles blow off. I think the pricing was fair. The roofing was excellent. There repair to the front window was not what I expected. I emailed the guy who did the front because he didn't caulk the lower windows. Once they agreed to do the service they were absolutely on time. They seem to know what they were doing. I think it would depend what I needed if I would use them in the future.

I had previously repaired shingles that had blown off during storms and felt that the roof was at/near the end of its useful life. Since I've had my share of home damage from natural disasters, I did not want to worry about the roof. Matt Marshall came and inspected. He provided an estimate of shingle options, and fortunately happened to have a shingle sample I could show my HOA for their approval. He also took photos of the roof, which I totally appreciated as I cannot get up on the roof. The work began close to date expected - was delayed one day due to late delivery of the materials by supply company. The supply company delivered materials, and used crane to place them on top of roof for the workers. Lynn was the lead roofer, and he was excellent. He worked his butt off and was great at communicating to me what was going on every day. He also took photos so I could see, and I also wanted to see the vent hookup. I felt Lynn took much care in his work. He also fixed the neighbor's roof section that crossed on top of mine (townhouse) caused by squirrels. I was very happy to be given digital photos so I could see everything. The work spanned 3 days, 2 were half days because of a rain event.

Window for estimate was 10-11 AM today. No one showed up, so at 1PM I call asking where he was. I was told he was at another job but I was next on the list. If you know you are going to be running late, at least have the courtesy to call the customer. I took off from work to get an estimate and have waste half the day for nothing. Anyone please beware who is planning on using this company. I will be using the other company we received an estimate from and will post that company once the work is performed to let everyone know how it went.
