Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows

We noticed water leak on the ceiling under a dormer in August. Considering the hail in our area earlier this spring, we decided to look for a roofing company for inspection. Marshall has the best reviews on Angie's List and is local. So it became our top choice. We called and realized that they are scheduling inspection a month ahead. We decided to schedule anyway and wait. Our wait ended up being very worthwhile. Inspector Jeremy Ervin called us a day ahead to confirm the appointment and came the next day on time. He went up to the roof a few times, first assessing, taking pictures, then coming down to discuss with us, then going up again to patch the trims around the dormer to make sure it won't leak. He also went into attic to check the dormer area and took more pictures. He then taught us how to track future water leak on the ceiling. We really appreciate his knowledge and help. We can see that he is treating the house like his own. Unlike some roofing companies that may exaggerate the hail damage, he was very candid about his opinion and didn't recommend replacement. He emailed us abundant pictures that will serve as good reference in the future. Jeremy Ervin and Marshall Roofing earned our trust. We will definitely hire them again.

Chris from Marshall Roofing arrived right on time on a Saturday. He efficiently diagnosed potential issues leading to roof leakage during heavy storms. He was upfront that Marshall has a minimum job price. He provided an estimate for flashing repair and repair of a plumbing ventilation pipe that came in right at the company's minimum and was 1/3 the price of another roofing company. We decided to ask our handyman to first try fixing the pipe -- since the company would not handle such a small job -- but would not hesitate to use Marshall if the leak reappears.

Marshall was recommended to me by another roofer who was unable to do the job because of a knee problem - said they were "honest roofers." Chris Thomas did the estimate and later the work. A pleasant young man and very professional. I received a follow-up call from the office staff about a week later to see if all went well I also had two foggy skylights replaced with nice clear glass.

These guys are fantastic! I had siding torn off my house during a wind storm. Doug came out and listened to me, talked with me about different repair options and other work I might want to consider at the same time, and then helped me through the entire insurance process. He was so knowledgeable and patient and was a huge help with the insurance adjuster. Once the work started, I was extremely impressed with the crew. They worked very hard and took pride in their work. Every evening all debris was removed. They really paid attention to every detail, and I am so pleased with the results. I recommend them very highly.

Thank goodness a friend recommended Marshall Roofing. They repaired the damage at a very reasonable price. They worked with a masonry expert to diagnose the cracks in the chimney. After the repairs were done they did a water test to make sure the repairs were done correctly. They kept at it until the job was done right. Marshall Roofing had earned my trust so I felt very comfortable asking them to replace my gutters and downspouts. Their pricing was so reasonable. Their estimates were half the price of other estimates I had received. Everyone I worked with at Marshall Roofing were courteous, reliable and very efficient. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company with integrity and ethics.

Went great. Marshall's Roofing did a superb job; front of house and garage looks brand new, in fact, better than it did when it was brand new. The first time I used Marshall's Roofing I couldn't have been more impressed. I called them to do some roofing repair that was done by a fly by night roofer. They were responsive, on time and very reasonable fees. After that, I had to call them to repair the roof after a tree fell on the house; again very responsive, on time and very reasonable fees. I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I just recently had another tree from my neighbor's yard fall on my house. Marshall's Roofing quickly responded to give me an estimate for the repairs, and put a temporary patch over the damaged areas to prevent rain from getting into the house. Once the insurance money is deposited; I know Marshall's Roofing will do a superb job in repairing the roof and gutters.

We hired Marshall after getting quotes from them and 4 other roofing companies. Their pricing was pretty much in the middle, but I thought Jeremy, who came out to give the estimate, did the most thorough job. Also, because of some venting work they were going to do in the attic, they seemed to provide the best value. Once we decided to schedule the job, the scheduling process went very smoothly and as promised. It took them about 2 1/2 days to complete the job, which seems a little long based on other roof replacements in our neighborhood, but it didn't inconvenience us at all. The roof has now been in place for a couple of months and we have no issues with it. There have been a number of bad storms in the interim, and the new roofing has held up fine. The only problem we had is that the cleanup after the job really left something to be desired. They left a box on the roof, paint cans in the yard, and we found quite a few staples. I did call, and they sent someone out the next day, but I still occasionally find staples in the yard. This was particularly frustrating because I had rejected a proposal from another company that was a lot less expensive, primarily because my neighbor had used them and said they left a lot of staples in her yard. All that said, if I had another job I would consider hiring Marshall again.

Norval Wright made two visits to our house. The initial visit was to assess problems discovered by a home inspector and provide an estimate for the required repairs. Norval returned several days later to complete the agreed-upon work. All work was accomplished efficiently and professionally. I highly recommend Marshall Roofing and especially Norval Wright.

Excellent. I got an estimate for the new roof before the estimator left my house. They used an excellent product for the roofing materials. They arrived on the day we had agreed upon and completed the work in 2 1/2 days. It was hot outside, so they did not work full days - because they didn't want their shoes to scar the new shingles. This impressed me because they were focused on quality and the welfare of their roofing crew vice getting the job done quicker. They were polite and professional. After the job was done, they did a QA on the job - and then sent the bill. I highly recommend them.

Norval and crew came on the expected day and did a thoroughly professional job from start to cleanup.

They are a very reliable company, great quality of work, very competitive pricing. I usually get multiple quotes and Marshall was the best, most responsive. most professional, knowledgeable and cost effective out of the 3 vendors I requested quotes from. James did a great job on both projects, and Nikki the service manager was very responsive and efficient.

The experience I had with Marshall Roofing was positive in all ways. The initial contact with the office was wonderful: the girls were friendly and helpful, maintaining contact before and after the job. The young man who came to give me the estimate, Chris, was the actual roofer, not a fast-talking salesman like the other companies sent. He examined the roof both by being on it as well as looking at it from below (the other two companies did not go on the roof). He explained exactly what he would do to repair the roof and how long it would take. After he gave an estimate that was FAR BELOW those of the other companies, I hired Marshall Roofing to do the job. On the date of the job, he came early (it was one of those hot days), and set right to work. After he finished, I saw that the place of repair was not visible and that the new flashing was actually attractive. But the proof of a good job was after the heavy rain: no leaking into the garage. I am so pleased with Marshall Roofing that I recommend this company to all of you and will have them replace my entire roof when the time comes.

Marshall Roofing, Siding, and Windows is our go-to company for all matters exterior on our house. Back in 2012 we had them replace all the old aluminum siding on our house with Tyvek house wrap and vinyl siding, and replace the windows, shutters, gutters, front door, and rear sliding glass door. Besides having the best looking house on the block (my unbiased opinion), it's amazing how much quieter it is inside! Based on the great job Marshall did in 2012, as well as some other small jobs they've done for us, we called them this year when it was time to replace our roof. We requested Doug McCleaf for our estimator based on our past experiences with him, and once again we felt very comfortable with his knowledge and honesty about what was needed and quoted. We confirmed our contract for the roof in early April, the guys dropped off the materials on April 27, and then we (understandably) had to wait until May 11 for the never-ending rains to stop. When the workers were finally able to get started, they hit it hard and finished what I thought was a pretty substantial job in two days. They were very conscientious and did a beautiful job. After the work was completed, we arranged with Marshall to have a carpenter and his assistant come out and fix approximately 16 nail pops and seams that appeared as a result of all the hammering and pounding on the roof. That work cost us an additional minimum charge of $325, but was well worthwhile as the carpenter even used some left-over paint I had to leave us with a ceiling that looks like new. Our experiences over the years with Marshall have been so good that we didn't even bother getting other estimates for the roof work... so I can't really say how their prices compare. We believe, though, that the quality of work and final results were definitely worth what we paid for the roof ($10,151).

James from Marshall Roofing came on time diagnosed the problem as the chimney flashing and said that he would come back with needed materials such as some shingles that would match my roof. Marshall Roofing called to set up a time for James to come back. Again James came at eh appointed time. He removed some of the siding from the chimney, some shingles from the roof and the old flashing. He replaced the flashing, applied new roof shingles and reattached the siding to the chimney. James showed me the rusty nails that were holding the flashing in place. He explained that the rust was an indicator that moisture was getting under the shingles where it is not supposed to be. Everything went very smoothly and I am very pleased with Marshall Roofing.

Chris Thomas, technician was very professional and nice. He was on time for the estimate, He went up to roof to inspect and gave me an estimate and set the date for repair. All staff at Marshall Roofing Co. was excellent from making appointments until finishing the job. Everything was well coordinated and everyone was very present to deal with.

We're very satisfied. We've used this company in the past for roof repair, storm door, sliding glass door and gutters. And they didn't disappoint this time also. The roof replacement job was excellent. Everything was great, from estimate, to scheduling, to the actual work. The workers that came out are first-class. Thanks so much.

same day estimate and good price but other company I went with came in a little bit better

We could not have found a better company to do this work. They did exactly what they said they would do and on the day and time that was scheduled. They replaced the rotted wood facing around the door with a composite material that matched the fancy trim that was replaced. They were careful to retain the top decorative facing at the top and made sure all was well sealed from weather and insects. They replaced the rotted soffit on one side of the house, being careful not to damage the gutters and downspouts. They replaced damaged roof flashing and removed an old TV antenna and wiring. We had contacted at least 5 other companies regarding this work and while several reps came out to give an estimate, not one followed up when we contacted them. I will certainly be using Marshall's again and would recommend them to anyone.

These people were sensational, from detailed estimate (Jeremy)/ to scheduling (Annette)/ to two separate crews for different types of roofing and new attic fan/ to final inspection (Matt). They provided excellent in explanation(s) of what I needed and why (types and colors of roof shingles, best type of attic fan, replacement of flat roof plywood/membrane underlayment/special sealants/trim). Removing all previously-existing roofing on a large home and completing the new roofing took only two full days, testimony on how finely-tuned their operation is. They took care to cover/protect landscaping and a large deck, and cleaned up meticulously. Everyone was fully professional but also delightful to work with. This the third roof I have had replaced in my home ownership career, and I will use no other company in the future!

We chose Marshall roofing because that were recommended by my neighbors and they were the cheapest of the three companies we interviewed. The work was done on time and the roof looks great. There was one small problem, when they completed the work, they could not clean inside the garage because it was locked. I complained in the morning and that afternoon the manager came to the house to clean the garage. He was very apologetic and gave us a very nice gift in way of an apology. This impressed me very much. They clearly stand behind their work.

I have used Marshall Roofing several times in the past 10 years and have been extremely pleased with them every time. When it comes time for a new roof, I will definitely use them. Marshall's was recommended by one of my neighbors. Roof was inspected and then Norval pointed out and explained what work needed to be done. Work was completed efficiently. Very happy with communication, explanations and professionalism of Norval. I would hire them again with no hesitation.

Arrived as scheduled, performed services quickly and professionally. CLEAN UP beautifully, which is a blessing. The gutters on a 3 story townhouse were impossible to get to and the guards are working as they should. Also did a minor repair to as shutter slate, that had slipped while up on the ladder. This was a big help, as I don't have a ladder that reached that high. Great company, will use again
