Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows

Description of Work: We engaged Marshall for the replacement of the roof and siding on our house due to storm/hail damage. From start to finish they have been excellent. They were punctual from the start, very professional and helpful. They were able to add upgraded gutters/gutter guards/downspouts replacement within the amount fo the insurance company claim payout for the roof and siding. Their crews were punctual, courteous and hard working. They cleaned up daily. The completed project looks better than the original construction of the house.

Description of Work: Marshall Roofing came to my home because I would find water leaking into my soffit drywall from a bay window over my kitchen sink area. This rain leaking occurred during hard downpours only. The technician found the problem and fixed it just with roofers cement/caulk. He also checked my overall roof area and found another small caulk problem which he fixed with the roofers cement/caulk. Easy fixes, however w/o proper ladder equipment and what to look for, a proferssional is the way to go. Thanks Marshall roofing.

Description of Work: After a large storm, Marshall Roofing came out to replace some shingles that had blown off. They were timely and professional, but very expensive - minimum charge for a visit (regardless of time spent) is $250. I chose them based on the great Angie's List ratings, so if you're looking for a total roof replacement, they might be your guys. For smaller jobs though, might want to go elsewhere (I spent $250 for about 20 minutes on site.)

Description of Work: Don't trust their timing. Joe does not return e-mails. Marshall Roofing did not follow through with the date they indicated they would do the work. They first estimated 2 to 3 weeks after I had accepted the contract, then that drifted to 2 months. My roof repair needed to be completed before interior work in my home could be completed, so they caused the whole project to be delayed. I felt they were not honest by blaming the weather, when every spring in Virginia has many days of rain and this spring has less than most years. I will use another company.

Description of Work: Marshall is the best! I have a one floor flat roof addition to a two floor house. Where the addition meets the house I had a terrible leak problem. I had been through two roofers before Marshall and spent thousands without getting it fixed. In fact roofer two made it worse. Both of them quit returning my calls. So then I joined Angies list and got estimates from all the highly rated large roofers in the area. The top three all recommended the same fix, but Marshall only charged me $1500. The next lowest bid was $5500. The day Marshall completed the work, we had a terrible downpour but not a drop came down inside. It has been about 8 months now, and still not a drop (I waited to see what would happen). Recently we had about 3 feet of snow, and I still did not have a drop inside. I recommend Marshall!

Description of Work: I have an older home that apparently had the wood shaker boards wrapped in aluminum so time ago. A nasty wind storm managed to get up underneath and ripped a good bit of it off the side of the home. These folks were excellent and ahead of the ball game all the way. They re-wrapped the shaker boards from top to bottom in about half a day. I think this was also the first time I've ever received a thank you card from a service provider!

Description of Work: We referred a customer to Marshall to complete a roof vent after we installed a new dryer vent for a customer. The customer needed someone to come out the same day so they wouldn't have a hole in their roof, and Marshall was able to accommodate them. They arrived within hours and completed the job well.
