Lotsa Fence Options

I used Lotsa Fence Options about 2 and a half years ago. It was good. They were fine...no issues.

Richard came by on time and gave us an estimate on the spot. He was very professional and answered all our questions. Although the highest of the three bids we received, we felt the quality of the wood and his professionalism would make this a trouble free experience. He came during the site and identified his crew and put planks on the opposite side then how we desired. He immediately called and confirmed how we wanted it. Since they where almost complete, and it would look bad if he took them off and moved them, he went ahead and put planks on both side. This was totally acceptable to us, as it looked better now from both sides. The job was done timely, the crew cleaned up well, and we are quite pleased with the work.

Excellent service! I had rented a post hole auger with the intention of doing the work myself, but the job turned out to be more than I anticipated so I turned to Angie's List to find someone to do the job. Mr. Richard O'Brien was quick to respond and listened to the problem. I explained to him that I already had the fence posts and simply needed to have the existing holes drilled out, the new fence posts installed, and the railings reset. This was clearly a small job for his crew, but Mr. O'Brien explained that he could have his crew at the house Saturday morning and have the work completed in short order. As anticipated, Lazarus and his two workers arrived at the house early in the morning and set to work -- drilling the holes and setting in the new fence posts. They completed the work in less than two hours and were on their way. Excellent, excellent work -- the fence once again stands perfectly straight, it is sturdy, and it looks great. The quick response time by Richard O'Brien and this crew was a big help, but most important of all, the price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend Lotsa Fence Options to friends and neighbors -- responsive, professional all the way, and quality work!!

Richard O'Brien (L.F.O, Inc. owner) was recommended to us by our landscaper and came to our house in June to measure for fencing, show us fence options and give an estimate for fence and installation. Richard came back to our house two more times, despite the distance, to remeasure for fencing because of changes we requested, and coordinated with our landscaper to schedule fence installation. The night before installation, Richard contacted us about coming the next day to install the fence. He and his crew arrived promptly the next morning and started work, wasting no time. 232 feet of fencing was completely installed within about 7 hours. His crew cleaned up any and all shipping and/or leftover fence materials and ensured the fence was all straight and leveled. Our new backyard fence looks awesome and we love it. We would definitely recommend L.F.O. to anyone in the Northern Virginia area who is looking for professional installation of a fence and would call Richard again if we ever need more fencing.

Had a little difficulty coordinating the installation, but ultimately pleased w/the appearance / quality of work. Would definitely contract w/this company again.

Lotsa Fence Options (LFO) Inc were very friendly, punctual, and professional. They guaranteed all of their work and I was very impressed that the owner of the company himself, Richard O'Brien, came out and oversaw the construction. The company is family-owned and they seemed sincerely invested in ensuring a quality product for our new home. During the initial estimate, they went over everything in great detail and answered any and all questions. They arrived on time for the construction and advised us on the HOA and permits. LFO uses only quality lumber and materials and the finished product definitely reflects the quality workmanship. The owner even explained the type of lumber ("heart wood") which lasts longer and rejected any lesser quality pieces even during the construction. They finished the deck on schedule even with the random snow storm we had the weekend of installment! The construction crew cleaned up the entire backyard and made sure the finished product and surrounding area looked perfect. The deck is absolutely gorgeous (and I'm a perfectionist) - and I know my family and l will enjoy it for years to come! We will definitely use the company again and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lotsa Fence Options Inc (LFO Inc)!!!

They did a great job. Richard the owner is very friendly and helpful. He gave great advice. The product looks great and will last longer then typical wood.

Lotsa Fence Options was professional, on-time and delivered an amazing solution. There was zero sales pressure as I was given multiple options based on total cost. Lotsa Fence Options quite simply "over delivered", if that is possible, and I would highly recommend them to anyone else. My only regret is that I only have one deck for them to work on.

Only an estimate was provided, we opted to go with a different provider for the job. The company representative was extremely professional and they did follow-up after the estimate was provided. They were just a bit high for the work that we had planned. I would consult this company again for an estimate in the future.

Dropped off materials the day prior. Showed up on-time the next day. Work was completed in 2 hours and was supervised by the owner. Everything first-rate.

provide Richard and his crew did an outstanding job on my project. I live on the river so I needed a custom type of fence to keep my dogs in the yard. The river floods into the yard sometimes so i needed a custom application that would provide protection for my animals and be strong enough stand up to the floods. I had talked to some other companies but they did not want to do my job since it was not "cookine cutter". Richard however was up to the challenge. In addition to the standard work of replacing my old Mt Vernon fence, he designed and built a modified garden fence with 4x4 posts, 2x4 cross beams and garden wire fence attached to make the fence solid but to allow water to flow through without knocking the fence over. He did lots of extras like providing a higher quality of lumber and using 6x6 posts at the gates. He provided an estimate in advance and he stuck to it. He did some minor modifications at my request and did not charge me for it. He showed up on time and finished on one day. His team was clean and courteous. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Easy to get in touch with, and stays in contact. Would have started sooner(2 weeks) but I had to have some trees cut down first. Richard and Sean are both very personable and friendly. So easy to work with. The fence covers over 400 sq. feet in our side yard and is for our dogs so we won't have to worry about them getting out or something getting in. The fence looks great-you can hardly tell it's there unless you look closely. I've never seen a fence go up so fast. In one day they did the approx. 430 feet of fence, 2 ten foot gates and a 5 foot gate. What hard workers. Either Richard or Sean were here most of the time to supervise. Would recommend them to my best friend. Thanks for my gate guys. You're great!

Richard and Sean built a trash can keeper on the side of the house with two panels of fencing. This was a small job, but they were wonderful about helping myself. There was a huge boulder Sean pulled out of the ground & lots of trouble with electrical lines. However he did a fantastic job in spite of all the setbacks.

Everything went very well. Richard was punctual and started and finished work on the given date. My neighbor had planted bushes and a trellises on my property. At a minor cost Richard removed anything I asked. The fence is a beautiful fence. I highly recommend his company.

The fence and patio installation went smoothly and were high quality. The deck was another story. I had to do a considerable amount of follow up to ensure that the deck was completed to adequate quality standards.Things like uneven railings, corners not meeting evenly, screw holes not filled, and damaged decking materials were eventually corrected but not without my concerns first being trivialized. I had to spend a lot of time pointing out obvious construction flaws and following up to make sure they were addressed. In the end the deck looks okay but I had to be way too involved in quality control. I would not hesitate to recommend Lotsa Fence Options for fencing but not for constructing a deck.

Richard and his team did an excellent job. The fence is beautiful and functional. Each picket is the same height despite the unevenness of yard. I found this company to be very responsive to our requests rather than pigeon-holing us. They even put wire at the bottom so the puppies could not get out. We are so very pleased with their work and will definately use them again.

Richard came out and was very thorough and knowledgeable when giving us an estimate. I liked they he was the one who actually came out and supervised the work the entire time. He was also very accessible during the process of getting approval from our HOA, in which there were some issues. Richard and his crew did an amazing job! They were always professional and the fence looks great! Richard was on hand to answer any questions throughout the installation as well as explain the different aspects of the job from beginning to end. They also did a great job cleaning up afterward. I would highly recommend Lotsa Fence Options and would gladly use them again for any future projects!

We received three quotes for putting stairs on our deck, repairing the deck and putting in a fence. Lotsa Fence Options had a competitive price and we seemed to click with the salesman. The space in the back is very small and the plans needed to pass HOA and Fairfax County inspections. There was some back and forth on the plans before we finally came to an agreement. The owner worked hard to get things on track and the project going despite issues with the hard ground and tools. The materials were delivered but sat for several days before they crew showed up. The owner seemed to have a hard time keeping track of his crew and work was delayed again and again. Once the deck and stairs were complete the fence went up nice a quick. The deck, stairs and fence look great it was worth the wait.

We scheduled an appointment for the estimate. Richard was late, but called to say he was running late. He wrote up the estimate while he was there and answered my questions. We wanted special caps, which he said he wouldn't be able to get, but he did offer some suggestions of where to look for them, and said they would install them if we purchased them. His price was among the lowest we received. We ended up going with another company for the project, but they were a top choice for us.

I was very pleased with my experience with Richard and Lotsa Fence Options. First, he was the only one of three companies I called (all found on Angie's List) that actually returned my phone call (particularly since I said I was looking to have work done quickly). He was able to visit my home for an estimate the next day, and provided an on-the-spot estimate (a rarity in this area). Second, the price was very competitive, which I appreciate. Richard broke the estimate into various options and didn't pressure me to do more work than needed at the time. Third, the work was completed promptly. We were able to schedule the fence replacement for about 1.5 weeks after his visit (notably, he said that wooden fences are quicker to do than other types of fencing). His staff was professional and worked quickly and efficiently. Richard was on-site for most of the job, and having had lots of work done recently, I can tell you that this rarely happens. We were pleased with the look of the fence, the high quality of work done, and our overall experience. I plan to call him and Lotsa Fence Options again very soon to replace another portion of our fence that we were unable to do initially. I strongly recommend this company!

He came out very quickly and he was great to work with. He gave us an estimate and stuck to that price. He did the work promptly. It was a smooth and easy transaction. The price was more competitive than other bids I got.

The communication and service was great. Worked directly with he Owner, Richard. Everything went great. Professional crew who cleaned everything up and worked efficiently. Came on time and finished promptly. Richard was very communicative and very responsive to communications. They worked with me and my dog to ensure that my dog would not be able to escape from the new fence.

The owner, Richard, responded immediately to all of my calls and he was on site during the entire time the fence was being replaced.
