He was prompt, he called before he came and he was actually early for his appointment. I was pleased with his services.

It went well. I was satisfied with the service.

I was told that we would be the first stop of the day so the technician would be there as early as 7:30am. At 7:30 exactly the doorbell rang so it was nice that they were true to their word. Plus the technician was courteous and took care with our house. I showed the technician the panel and the burnt wires figuring that we would have to replace the entire bus bar at least and the entire panel at worst. Actually he diagnosed that the wires were not tightened down on the bar enough or the screws were stripped out so he could splice in new wires to terminate them at a good connection on the bar. So that was a huge relief! He even took the extra step of tightening down every screw on the board to make sure it couldn't happen again. And he removed the screws from the bad connections so we couldn't inadvertently use them again. Then we asked if he could install a GFCI breaker in the box to terminate a wire for a dedicated receptacle outside. He installed it and tested it at the box and at the end outside despite having to crawl under the porch to do so. In the end we were able to coil up the extension cords we had running across our basement to power the fish tank since the outlets that were bad were now back on line; and we were able to use the outside plug as planned to power the pond pump and not have the cord running across the deck as a tripping hazard. I would definitely use Kolb Electric again and do highly recommend them to others.

. I recently lost quite a bit of vision and I am re-doing the house, putting in a lot of light to shine. It need a lot imagination and creativity since you need to have light shinning into the bottom two shelf of the refrigerator and bottom of closets. It is not just the standard lighting problem. It has to be thought though, yellow light versus white light. It took a lot of time for a relatively small task. Their estimator was just marvelous. He took all the time and looked all over and discussed everything with me. Really he was very creative and had great ideas like even using those Christmas lighted tubes to run around the closets and stuff. He was really helpful. He spent a couple of hours with me here. It is not a big job. He really went above and beyond for thinking outside the box. He was really good. I don't know what is energy saving, what is in and what is out,what is safe and what fixtures to use and so on. He was really good. His creativity, and his thoughtfulness, stood out the most. He really thought things through. He was a problem solver. He identified the real problem; he was focused, and found solutions to the problem. He will give me several estimates with its respective pricing. I will continue to use them in the future.

First off, the electrician called me to ask if he could come earlier than my 9-12 window and of course, I was thrilled and said YES! He came in totally prepared and worked for no more than 45 minutes and had my lights working in no time. He had to replace wiriing because the wiring had acutally broken. He was nice, courteous and friendly. I would higly recommend Kolb to come again. I also used a coupon that saved me $25.00

Everything went great. I have never had bad service from this company. They are very reasonable when it comes to price. I would recommend.

Based on reviews called to schedule sevice to check for eletrical repairs. Despite their website showing "24 hour service" when I called, they gave me a window of 9am-3pm only, saying they couldn't be more specific than that window, and that they don't work after 3pm.

Kolb Electric Inc. responded to my request for assistance on an emergency basis to correct an electrical power outage problem at my home, and rapidly and professionally resolved my outage problem. The Kolb electrician arrived at the time promised. He was courteous, focussed, neat and competent, and he did an excellent job in rapid order. As indicated above, the electrician performed the necessary analysis, and quickly determined that the power outage was caused by a wiring malfunction within the circuit breaker panel. In record order, the Kolb electrician re-wired the troubled circuit in the panel, checked all of the other circuits in the box, and promptly restored power to the disaffected areas in my home. My wife and I are very pleased with both the rapidity of the response by Kolb to come to my house on such short notice late at night, and with the professional manner that the problem was investigated and understood, a corrective process quickly identified, and a successful outcome obtained. The problem was resolved and power was promptly restored. We are very pleased with Kolb Electric Inc. and we will gladly recommend Kolb to our neighbors and friends who need prompt, high quality electrical service.

Kitchen Light fixture burned up. Shorted GFI outlet.

Great experience. I wanted to take advantage of the spring weather and get a ceiling fan into the master BR before the weather heated up. I was afraid of a long wait for service, but it was easy to schedule a visit within just a few days. The electrician arrived well before the scheduled appointment at 7:30 a.m. but waited until that time to knock on the door. He looked at all three jobs and went to work on the fan first, completing it quickly and cleaning up. He examined the office fixture and found it not worth replacing, so I went over to Home Depot for a replacement while he fixed the family room can. Once I got back with the new fixture, it took very little time to complete that job. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work, the pleasant and professional manner of the electrician, and the price. Will call Kolb again if I need electrical work done.

the work turned out good. They showed up on time, and their prices were fair. Also the guy was knowledgeable, and he cleaned up after he was done.

My electrical circuit tripped suddenly (and with a loud bang) at the mains. Kolb were able to send an electrician within a few hours to look into the problem. The electrician traced the cause to a slow water leak above my hot water heater. He turned off the specific circuit breaker and water flow to the heater. With power restored, and the problem identified and isolated, I had the peace of mind to turn my attention to locating a plumber to deal with my hot water system.

The technician was on time and spent about 1 hour fixing the issues. The tech was on time professional and respectful and did the work efficiently.

I explained to Kohl’s Electric that I needed a hardwired smoke detector installed ASAP. They gave me a price and agreed to come out by noon of the next day. They were on time. The technician was to install the hardwired smoke detector on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms were located. There was already a battery operated smoke detector installed. After checking the location, the technician said he was unable to install the detector in the same place as the battery operated one without creating another hole. My handyman crawled up in the attic space and was able to locate some electric when the technician said he could not find any electric. It was lucky for me that my handyman was there when the technician came or I would have had an unnecessary hole in my wall. After the issue of locating the electric was resolved the technician completed the work in a quality manner and I was charged the price I was quoted.

Electrician arrived when promised and surmised the situation, checking all of the appliances that we had plugged in. He went to the electrical box and found another circuit breaker and replaced the burned out unit and was on his way.

They were on time. The guy that came to the house was very friendly and nice. He gave us pointers about electrical use. They were very clean. The work was done very well.

They provided excellent service. They were very professional and courteous. They were on time and did the job on time. I was pretty pleased with them and called them one more time to do some indoor lighting.

The technician arrived at 8:10 am. He finished the work at 8:35, when he started writing up the ticket. They charged me for an entire hour. It was only a 1/2 hour of work and I don't think that writing up the ticket should count as work time. I assumed the the technician was charging me for travel time and I went ahead and paid it. Then I checked Angie's list, where the company represents that they don't charge travel time. I called the company and James told me that the technician was at our house until 8:55. While it is true he may have been sitting in the street until 8:55, he wasn't working after 835/840. I did not find James particularly helpful or customer service oriented. On this basis, I would not call this company for return work.

I was very satisfied with the response time, professionalism, quality of work and the reasonable price. I will use them again for all my electrical work.

The technician was very professional and competent--and we're still very glad that we didn't have to deal with the hassle of installing ceiling fans ourselves. But it was a trickier job than he had anticipated, and with the hourly rate, we ended up paying much more than we had expected or budgeted. The work was very good, but had we known it would cost that much to install the fans, we might have put up with the existing ones.

I chose not to have the smoke detector replaced because it is tied into my alarm system. I didn't realize that and I am not using my alarm system so I can't. The circuit breaker governing the alarm system has been turned off which is the reason the smoke detector was not working. I suspect what I am going to do is get battery-operated smoke detectors. The electrician was very helpful and he explained to me. I had no idea that the smoke detector is tied in to the alarm system. Apparently it automatically would send a signal, if there was smoke, to the alarm company. I don't have the cost handy, but it was quite reasonable for the time he spent here and he was very efficient. I think I have used the company before. What has impressed me most with the electricians is one they are knowledgeable and two they are very, very efficient. They work quickly, they do a good job, and they clean up after themselves. Their cost is quite reasonable considering what they do, probably because they work so efficiently. I would strongly recommend them.

Great. The technician arrived early in the morning on time. She had all the tools and supplies she needed. We discussed the job and I observed her work. Through careful planning she was able to install the circuit without having to turn off the main power. She did a good job running the line. The only hitch was that she over-charged me; however, Kolb did the right thing and called me back about the overcharge. They sent a refund check a couple weeks later.
