Description of Work: Replaced two three-way switches, replaced single switch in master closet, and installed ceiling fan.

Description of Work: I called Kolb to give an estimate for a project at the home of my employer, but they never had the job done, so I can't speak to their performance. The man who came was courteous, thorough, intelligent and polite.

Description of Work: Remove ballast from defective circular fluorescents in basement and installed regular bulb sockets, replaced switch at top of staircase landing to basement and installed motion detector outside.

Description of Work: I called the company and scheduled an appointment, before hanging up I asked the receptionist if she s going to ask what was wrong. There seemed to be an understanding that clients should pay for the time t takes for the electrician to find out what the problem is. I told her that the amp on the AC breaker was too big and needed to be adjusted and to tell the electrician coming that information and to bring the necessary supplies so he wouldn't have to go get them and cost me more money. When the electrician arrived he hadn't been told what the problem was in the first place adding to the amount of time he needed to stay and for which I needed to pay. It took him well over 30 minutes to diagnose the problem, and he had to phone the HVAC specialist who originally diagnosed the problem. Then he had to go out for supplies costing me yet more money. He came back and changed out the amps. Now 48 hours later the problem is worse. Now the unit isn't working at all.

Description of Work: They repaired a wiring problem that was causing a shortage.

Description of Work: They grounded and rewired the plug that hooks up to the dryer.

Description of Work: I needed to have someone complete the work on a heavy up and work with me to get the inspection completed. The Kolb technician came out reviewed the existing electrical set up, outlined what would need to be done to complete it. They gave me an estimate on the work and explained how they would assist me through the process of completing the work and getting the inspection done. Everyone I worked with at Kolb from the technicians onsite to the poeple in the office were courteous and professional and very responsive. I would definitely use Kolb again.

Description of Work: I needed a small chandelier installed in a nursery bedroom where we already had recessed lighting. The technician was able to insert the chandelier in one of the recessed lighting outlets using a fan kit box rather than a traditional lighting box, which was a creative solution given the small hole that he had to work with and my desire not to have to cut a larger hole and repair the ceiling afterward. This work was performed in just a couple hours and works perfectly.

Description of Work: They were a real lifesaver. Came to my house very quickly and solved an extremely difficult problem (that different electrician could not) in no time at all. I would use them again in a heart beat!

Description of Work: Requested an estimate to upgrade current 100 amp service to 200 amp, install dedicated circuits for freezer and tankless water heater. Requested a separate quote to install a dedicated circuit for portable air conditioner. The electrician arrived promptly and reviewed my requirements for the work to be performed. He explained the approach for installing the service and answered all questions. Costs for the upgrades were the main reason for not selecting the company. The cost estimate was 3 times the price quoted by other companies. I have advised the company of the reason for non-selection.

Description of Work: Indoor & outdoor electrical repair & installation work involving photocell installation on outdoor spotlights, hookup of motion detectors, indoor outlet changes, & dimmer switch installations.
