I have known of Juan Martin of jmresolutionsinc.Com for quite some time. When I was ready to redo my bathroom I sent an email and Juan Martin called me back the same day and scheduled a meeting within the week. I told him I basically wanted to gut the bathroom. I felt I could pick my finishes and for the most part I did. I did run into a snag and Juan Martin offered to meet me at the tile shop. We walked through different sections and were able to decide on the perfect tile. Juan Martin makes sure his workers pay attention to detail and treat my home with care. He is a wonderful communicator making sure I was clear on the process and was available for all my questions. I know he had many other projects but he made me feel as if mine was the most important. He is truly amazing and talented. I love my new bathroom!

My husband Kyle and I are first-time homeowners, so we were a bit overwhelmed by taking on a home renovation project. However, hiring Juan Martin was the best decision we made. He helped us throughout the entire process, helping advise on paint colors, wood type/style for our floors and more. The work was finished quickly and on time, and we're still wowed by the product a couple of years later. We recently decided to have cabinets installed in our open kitchen/living room, and immediately sought Juan Martin and his team. Based on a few conversations and our vision, they were again able to turn our idea into reality and it's totally improved our home. I cannot recommend Juan Martin and his company highly enough, and they have a customer for life in us. Juan is very professional and conscientious. He double checked the color of the paint with me to make sure they were in compliance with our HOA guidelines. His crew was courteous and showed up on time. The crew did a very nice job of painting - very neat and professional. They were careful with moving plants and outdoor furniture on my deck and did not trample my garden, which I really appreciated. There was no paint splats or garbage left behind. I would highly recommend them!

I am thrilled with my new kitchen. The provider was excellent. He listened to what I wanted and provided good ideas of his own. His crew worked efficiently at each step along the way. He kept me fully informed about what would be done each day. He went with me to the various vendors to pick out flooring tile, backsplash tile, grantie for the countertop. His standards are high, and on several occasions he stepped in to have something changed or redone when it was less than perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for remodeling work, including, flooring, tiling, full kitchen or bath, carpentry, painting. He took care to clean up carefully as the work was done. My unit is in a condo and he readily complied with rules about use of the elevator etc. I have zero complaints about anything. The work he and his crew did for me was a complete success.

Juan Martin is fantastic. The first thing we noticed was the way he carries and presents himself, which is as a true professional. This was also born out by the way he conducted himself throughout the project. The second thing we noticed was that English is his second language. DO NOT let this deter you from working with him. He is almost perfectly fluent (it seemed that, as with most people and their near-fluent second language, idioms were the challenge, e.g. "pick up" vs "pick out"). His accent can very rarely, mostly on the phone, be difficult to understand, but I got the impression that he is acutely aware of that. He truly desires and strives to have clear understanding with you. If you have questions, ask them - he really does want you to! Our project encountered multiple minor delays as the old things were removed, and he was great at shifting the schedule of tasks around to keep things moving if at all possible while the newly-discovered issues were evaluated and taken care of. The original estimate was 1.5 to 2 weeks, and he managed to finish in three weeks despite the issues. He was also exceptionally responsive, by phone and by email, and often proactive in providing updates on the progress. I mentioned that his professionalism was born out throughout the project, and by that I mean his attention to the little things. Everyone I met on the project was friendly and seemed to care about doing their job well. Not once in a three week project with delays and rescheduling did I encounter a surly contractor. Everyone cleaned up at the end of the day (not true for some of the other specialists we had to call in to address the hidden issues). His crew demonstrated respect for our home, the work they were doing on it, and for themselves. Finally, the finished product is beautiful. Juan Martin made some suggestions along the way (though not on everything), as we are not great with design, and every time he piped up his suggestion tuned out great. This is another example of his professionalism - he made suggestions where he felt expert enough to make them, not just as an up-sell tactic. He will absolutely be my first call for any other renovations we do in our home.

We were immediately impressed with Juan Martin when we discussed our remodeling project with him. He presented himself professionally and listened carefully to what we wanted to do. He offered good suggestions and helped us think through solutions to a drain problem. His bid was competitive and we were confident that the would make sure that the remodel would be well done. His work team arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. every morning, were courteous, took care with our home, and cleaned up every day. They did an excellent job installing the travertine tile floors and building the custom dog washing area. Rene, the plumber, was exceptionally skilled and caring. He installed the drain for the dog washing area which required hammering out part of the cement floor, installed a special faucet, and replaced cut off valves for all the sinks and toilet. His plumbing work was careful and neat. He was quick to diagnose a plumbing problem unrelated to this project that another plumber had been unable to resolve for a long time. He paid special attention to making sure that the copper pipes and fittings were the best they could be. We are very pleased with the bathroom and laundry room remodel project. Juan Martin completed the project on time and on budget. It was a pleasure doing business with him and his crew. From the outset, it was clear that Juan Martin wanted us to be repeat customers and he succeeded in impressing us and look forward to working with him on possible future projects. We highly recommend him for other projects!

It was a long, multiphased project and Mr. Forero did an excellent job. He is courteous, professional, very communicative and oversees the work of his workers. He also does much of the work himself and is very meticulous and focused on quality and detail. He made every effort to make sure I was happy and communicated with me daily on the status of our progress. Even when issues arose, as they are bound to on large projects, Juan Martin worked hard to ensure things were resolved to my satisfaction and I am very demanding client. I found him to be fair, reasonable, and respectful in his dealings with me. The tradesmen he uses are polite, professional and very, very good. He and his people always showed up on time. He also made sure everything was cleaned up and put away (within reason in a construction zone) every day and he and his workers were respectful of my home. He honors his word and his reputation is very important to him. If he said he would do something he did it and followed up to make sure I was happy with the results. He stood by his work. Juan Martin will do whatever his clients ask as long as doing so is safe. He will tell you he is not a designer, but he will implement the design you give him. His is a small company and he works on the jobs himself with the right tradesmen and 1-2 workers. If he found something not to code, he informed me and asked what I wanted to do. He took the time to ensure he understood what I wanted and the best way to deliver it. If I was unhappy with something he did his best to make it right and usually did. If I asked him to do something he was unfamiliar with (e.g., install a make up air unit connected to the house's HVAC), he researched it and made sure he brought in HVAC experts to get it done right. Juan's prices are competitive and the quality and pride of workmanship are evident in his work. Our first project was a complete bathroom overhaul. We tore out the bathtub, replaced it with a shower and seat, replaced the single vanity with a double, added some lighting, and retiled. It was a gut job. I provided the finishes (tile, shower, vanity, toilet, and fixtures). During the rennovation we discovered the existing plumbing was not to code. Juan stopped the work, contacted me, showed me the issue and asked what I wanted to do and gave me my options. He brought the the plumbing to code for a reasonable price and his plumber, Rene, is excellent. I have a model bathroom now. That project took a little longer than planned due to a mix up with the glass shower door. I was very pleased with Juan Martin's work and asked him to bid on my kitchen remodel. His estimate was in line with the other bids I had received, but with better products (e.g., custom vs. semi custom cabinets). We went back and forth before signing the contract to make sure we were clear on expectations and all my questions and concerns were ansered. The quality of the workmanship is excellent and the the kitchen was a total gut job - walls were removed to the studs. We found serious problems with the electrical and insulation and again Juan Martin made it right at a fair price. The other items/repairs I added or asked him to do were completed for a fair price. He stood behind his work whenever issues arose. The kitchen project took significantly longer than expected due to very, very long delays with the custom cabinetry and some mixups with the factory. His estimates on timing were a little off on a few other things, but we worked through that. I have a beautiful kitchen. If you are in a hurry and want work done cheap and fast, Juan Martin may not be the right person for you. If you want it done right, with attention to detail, quality, ease of communication and someone who stands behind their work, at a fair price then he is the contractor for you. I'll be calling him again when I have another project and can highly recommend his services.

Juan Martin was very polite on the phone and very apologetic about calling to reschedule our first appointment at the last minute. There was some difficulty with communication, but not enough to eliminate him from consideration. However, after I explained everything we wanted, and he took measurements and pictures, he asked me how much I thought the job would cost. I said I was not sure but I expected that that would be part of the estimate. At this point, Juan Martin actually said that he "would not proceed with the estimate" until I gave him a range for the cost. He said if I didn't have a clear idea, then my husband should call him and say exactly what we expected with both a top and a bottom amount. I told him not to bother proceeding. I would prefer an estimate based on what we wanted to have done and how long it would take to do, and not on how much we might possibly be convinced to pay for it. Perhaps I have just been lucky so far, but I have never had another service provider attempt to hedge his bets in such a blatant way.

I had a plumbing leak in early June that damaged the flooring and bathroom in my basement. I solicited several bids and JM Residential Solutions provided the best quote in terms of cost and time-frame to complete the work. The project went very well from start to finish. I'm truly pleased with the results. Juan is very professional and knowledgeable about general contracting and he provided great suggestions on the needed repairs. He communicates very well and is always responsive. His employees were very nice and pleasant to work with too. I'm looking forward to working with JM Residential Solutions on future projects for my home.

Juan Martin who is the owner of JM Residential Solutions, Inc. not only supervises the project but he also rolls up his sleeves and does team work with his crew. He puts a lot of emphasis on the communication between himself and his client(s) so that everything goes smoothly and his clients get their desired result. He frequently checks on things to make sure they are on track and that the job is done well. He also frequently asked us if we had any questions or needed clarification on any work that was done by the day. He offers advice and does so very gently. He can do whatever you want done in terms of design but if it is not within the code, he will let you know. His aim is to ensure that his clients are happy because they have to live with the delivery of the project. We liked his flexibility to fix other things around our home e.g. put handles on the kitchen cabinets, a latch to our attic, a deadbolt on one of our doors etc. Of course, all the extra work is an additional cost. What I liked is that no job is too big or too small for him to handle. He has a nice personality which makes it very easy to converse with him. His team of experts (tile demolisher, handyman, electrician, plumber, painter and tilers) are all very professional. They each know their job and do it with pride. They are all polite and respectful of the client and the client's home. They protected all the work areas and traffic areas for brining in the materials they needed. At the end of the day, they cleaned up and kept our home looking tidy and ready to be worked on the next day. We were very impressed with their punctuality every day without fail, they were at our door at the agreed time of 8.00 am. We highly recommend JM Residential Solutions, Inc. We will have them back to work on other areas of our home.

Juan Martin worked us very quickly into his schedule. The only delay was on our side, waiting for tile to be delivered. He arrived promptly with his crew daily. He kept up posted on all aspects of the work he was performing. In addition, while working on the room, more rotten wood was discovered, which he immediately communicated to us. He incorporated this work into the job, thus extending the entire project by a day -- meaning that he worked into the weekend -- for which we were very grateful. Everyday, they asked how late they could work and had everything cleaned up by that time. I plan on using them for other work we need done on the house.

This contractor is incredibly professional! We originally hired him to paint the entire inside of our house. He was professional, courteous, and prompt. His staff did an excellent job. Any questions we had were immediately answered. He responds quickly to email, text, or phone call. He is able to schedule the work to be done within days. We appreciated his work so much that we have since hired him to refinish our wood floors, fix a leak in our ceiling, and patch a hole in the ceiling. Juan Martin will be our go to for all our contractor needs as long as we live in Alexandria, VA.

It went very well. After an initial consultation with Juan we finalized our design. He was very flexible in working with us. The crew did the initial work and we added some painting and a the entryway floor. All changes were agreed to in price/delivery ahead of time. The crew were all very professional and courteous. And above all, the dog really liked them all (always a bonus for pet lovers). At the end we had a lovely new bathroom delivered that exceeded our expectations. I plan on using this company again.

Everything went extremely well. I was very happy with the work performed. I have done tilework myself, and the tile work done was up to the highest standard. The painting/finishing work on the walls where wiring/plumbing/demolition was done was perfect. You cannot tell anything was done there. All employees, and contractors were very prompt and curteous, and really wanted to make sure they got the job done right. As problems came up - as they will with a 30 year old bathroom replacement, solutions were provided, and there was good discussion on the pros and cons of the choices. As items were added onto the contract (via things like leaking subfloor that was not seen at estimate time), we were not gouged on price for these things that really HAD to be done. A couple little items came up after the job was done and they stand by the fact that they want you to be happy, and had no problem at all coming back to fix the problems.

They were the most prompt of anyone I think I ever had do work for me before. The job got done on time and on budget and Juan went above and beyond by doing some extra painting for us that was not part of the original quote. The work was done exceptionally well and everyone was very courteous.

Mr. Martin was prompt, timely and efficient. He estimated two weeks to install the basement tile, do wiring, install lighting and baseboards He was spot on for the timing. Any problems were immediately solved or corrected. We were so pleased with his performance that we asked him to paint the basement. The two day estimate was quick and timely. Mr. Martin quickly corrected all deficiencies that were brought to his attention. All this was done at an attractive price.

On May 16, 2013 I re-hired Mr. Mario Salazar owner of Metropolitan Remodeling LLC., because he remodeled a guest bathroom in my home in 2010. However, it did not require permits for relocating any plumbing and electrical work. In 2010, he inquired about the master bathroom but I was not ready to do it at that time. I told him if all went well with the guest bathroom project I would call him when I was ready to do the master bathroom project. Anyway, Metropolitan Remodeling LLC., was supposed start my master bathroom on 1 Jun 2013 and complete it on or about 30 Jun 13. I purchased the tile, grout, paint, sink, tub, vanity, vanity top, recess lights etc...everything needed to complete this bathroom. After three month of trying to work with Metropolitan Remodeling LLC., I had to fire Mr. Mario Salazar due to a breach of contract. My bathroom was partially demo the ceiling fell into the bathroom area and Mr. Salazar just left it. There was trash left all about, and holes made by the electrician other areas in my homes etc... During this time I lost my sister to Cancer and on top of all that it was already September. I was stressing out because my home was a mess. I had a big hole in my bathroom ceiling and it was starting to get cold. So I decided to sign up on Angie's list. I interviewed several contractors and it was becoming very difficult to find someone to pick up another contractor's mess. Finally I interviewed Mr. Juan Martin Forero the owner of JM Residential Solutions INC. He was very professional and listened to my issues and he was willing to take on my bathroom disaster. I sat down with his licensed Architectural partner Mr. Eduardo A. Sanchez Yarce of 360 Design Studio. I showed him my vision and in a couple of days he had a very sophisticated laid out plan. It was not some scribble drawing on a piece of bond paper. It was a blueprint of my vision. This was very impressive. Mr. Martin and I sat down and worked out every detail of the contract. Mr. Martin assured me JM Residential Solutions INC., could have my master bathroom project completed in three weeks. Due to the lost in my family I had spent a tremendous amount of time away from work. I entrusted Mr. Mr. with a key to my property so that he could complete my bathroom without any delays. JM Residential Solutions INC., was scheduled to start my project on 21 Oct 13. The project started on time. Mr. Martin and his team were prompt, courtesy and professional at all times. Mr. Martin pulled the permits from Prince William County and he and his team pass all scheduled inspection (first time around). The Master bathroom project was completed on time and looks absolutely amazing. I would without a doubt hire JM Residential Solutions INC., for another remodeling project.

Juan Martin is very reliable professional. He provided a detailed estimate of the flooring. I even took the estimate to a coworker's husband, who does construction/home improvement, and he concurred with Juan Martin's charge estimates. He also provided a contract that captured the estimates. Juan Martin's crew was very professional as well and showed up at the agreed upon date and time for the project. Juan Martin was in constant communication with us and visited the house several times to ensure progress of the installation. Juan Martin also offered to purchase the quarter rounds through his supplier and passed his savings to us. After installation, there was a missing area that had not had the quarter rounds installed. Juan Martin responded quickly and within 48 hours, the area was rectified. Juan Martin Residential Solutions is highly recommended.
