They charged $150 to change the garbage disposal under the kitchen sink and $200 to change something in the toilet. The renter was happy with the quality of the job; though they had to come out again as the garbage disposal was not installed properly. They had to fix a pipe and tried to charge for it. She then insisted that they should have done it in the first place. The toilet was not the actual reason for the call out, but was included later. They tried to upsell me with a new toilet costing over $600. I called them and asked them if they did discounts for Angies List members and the lady said that she was unaware of it. They got right out when they were called, but were not on time, when recalled out. They were punctual and professional, though she was not keen on the upselling. I will not use them in future.

We have used J. Kittelberger and Sons Inc. Company twice and both times they were very good. They are punctual. Their prices are reasonable. They are friendly to deal with. They are professional. They do good work. They immediately tested the sump pump when they installed it and it works just fine now. It was a good experience on the whole. I would definitely use them again.

They have been very good. The cost for the entire project when they were last here was below $700. They are prompt. They are clean and professional. They come in and do the work. We have been happy with them. Plumbing is expensive, but their prices are in line with other companies. So, they are probably a little above average. The quality of their work is good. They do the job right the first time. Their responsiveness is excellent. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

They were great. They were the only one who were specialized and agreed to the plumbing and the spa service for us. I had called four others and their price was the cheapest. I would rate them high overall and would use them again in the future.

We have used a few plumbers before, but for the last 2-3 years we have used J. Kittleberger exclusively. We called them and they came out right away. We were concerned about water in our driveway, so we wanted an opinion as to why it may be happening. We also needed someone to look at 2 toilets, so we figured we should get it all done at once. Slow Toilets - We had 2 'slow flushing' toilets, and they snaked both of them out and they are not working perfectly. 'Broken' Toilet - We had a toilet that the handle kept breaking off and would never flush right. They replaced parts on the indside of the unit and they were very reasonably priced ($20). Water in Driveway - We had Fairfax Water come out and check our line coming into the house.They couldn't find anything wrong, so they figured it must be from our neighbors line (later confirmed by Fairfax Water). Just to be sure, we had J. Kittleberger check and see if it could be coming from the inside of the house (sewer, etc) and they couldn't find anything wrong with my unit, so we are able to eliminate us as the source of the leak.

I called the morning that my old water heater burst and flooded my laundry room. They asked me questions about my old water heater (such as size - 50gal) and serial number, which determined that my water heater was the original from when the home was built in 1994. Given the age of the water heater, it seemed it would need to be replaced, though they said they would try to repair it, if it were practical. They quoted me $1,000 to replace my water heater, if necessary, with one that has a 6-year warranty. The service person arrived that afternoon (in the time window promised), removed the old water heater, and replaced it with the new one. The job took him about an hour and a half - he was professional, efficient, and he cleaned up after himself.

Both Jay Kittelberger and his crews are all very professional and easy to work with. They are honest and thorough. All the jobs they have done for us have gone well. They have even told us we didn't need plumbing work when we thought we had a leak but really needed tile work. The water heater installation was tricky as we wanted a big tank and had a small door accessing the utility closet. Jay did the measurements and found us a water heater that would work. When the manufacturer changed the dimensions without changing the specs, the crew had a problem. They had to remove the door frame to install the water heater. Although this was not Kittelberger's fault, they sent a carpenter to fix the door frame at their cost. At the end of the process it was all perfect. I highly reccomend Kittelberger plumbing!

I called J KITTELBERGER and SONS in the moring(recommended by another Plumber, who doesn't do repair but highly rated on angies' list) after I found a wet spot on my basement ceiling. The technician arrived in the same afternoon, called to let us know he will be 30 min late due to previous work delayed. Once he is here, he checked outside first, tom ake sure it's not caused by leaking outside the ceiling, once that's ruled out, he opened the ceiling and found the sewage pipe joint glue has given up. Took the technician 45 min to get the parts and actually fixed it. No more leaking!! He also friendly reminded us water heater is near it's life span, we need to pay attention to it(no sales pitch at all). A very positive experience overall.

Many plumbers who are rated high on Angie's List just do not repair or replace Whirlpool pumps, tubs, etc. Kittleberger does. Again the technican James G was great as were Tim, Cathy and Donna great to deal with on the phone setting up the appointments, asking questions, etc.

They did a really good job. They've always done a good job and have always charged a good price. With other contractors, they charge too much, don't give you the right information, or are unprofessional. These guys are professional and they've had all around good services.

The company scheduled our repair call right away (1 working day). The plumber (James G.) arrived right on time. He listened carefully to the list of problems and went about addressing each one very efficiently. He seemed very thorough in making sure each was done properly, but he was quite sharp and quick to accomplish the task. It was pretty clear that he was trying to finish everything in an hour, rather than stretch out the time for the jsob. He also offered information about what to expect in terms of lifetime of the pump, the testing he had done on the toilet, the size of the drain and issues for keeping it clear, the unusual stove connection and how to move the stove safely, and the fact that the toilet mechanisms merely needed adjustment. He was very pleasant and professional, and unusually thoughtful in listening well and providing helpful answers to questions.

They have been very good. They are very honest because I also had a very complicated thing about this leak that nobody could deal with. The people who came in previously wanted to do a lot of terrible things like tearing up everything. However, the people from Kittelberger just came in and zeroed in on the problem right away. They were very professional.

The workers at J. Kittelberger are very good. They are very nice and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again.

Arrived on time, installed new shower head and tightened shower heads in two other bathrooms. All worked well.

It went well. We called about 5 companies to get prices. All prices provided were for least efficient model of companies (.88) We wanted to upgrade a little and decided on a .93 effficiency model. This had to be special ordered. Kittelberger said it would be about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they hadn't called back and I called them. The guy who had taken the order was out for the week and they had to check and call back. They called about two hours later and said it would arrive the next day and scheduled installation later that week. On installation day, they missed their arrival window by 20 minutes but they called to inform us. He installed the water heater (looks good), took away the old one and was done in a couple of hours. Overall, a very positive experience.

They even sent me a thank you with their card, that said, "a customer like you is the foundation of our business". I don't think many plumbers do that.

John C. Flood quoted me a "discount" rate for two drains of about $350 which I thought was high, so I called Roto Rooter who said they did not give quotes over the phone. When their representative arrived, he told me it would be $410 which I declined. A friend of mine had recommended Kittelberger, so I called them. They were very accommodating over the phone and said they could probably have someone out later that day but would call me back. They quoted their hourly rate over the phone. As promised they called to give me an estimated time of arrival, and then called me, again, when the truck was on its way. I was extremely pleased with the customer service. The gentleman who arrived was very pleasant, did an excellent job, and even fixed the bath tub lever for me. Kittelberger followed-up by sending a thank you note with a typed-up "paid" invoice. What more could you ask for, plus the price was very fair. I will definitely use this company again!
