Independence Landscape

Great. My initial request for estimate completed in a timely manner and the agent (Mark) was polite and we discussed all work needed to be done. I will be using this company for all yard work in 2014. Employees arrived on time and did an excellent job-cleaned up well before leaving. I am really pleased and glad to find this company after the problems I have encountered with another company for the last several years.

Curt and his crew have provided outstanding service. Estimates were reasonable and services were performed in a timely manner. The gentleman that were out to do the labor were friendly and professional. Independence landscaping is now working estimates to continue the ivy spraying and developing a plan to establish grass in the mitigated area.

Some times when they have mowed the lawn there have been tire gouges in the lawn. The lawn must have been wet when they mowed.

I found them in the Angie's List catalog and saw one of their coupons so went online and purchased. I called for a estimate they came out looked at my bush and gave me a price plus my coupon and got a great price and great service. Chad and team did great!! Thank You.

They scheduled an appointment to come out and give me an estimate for the deck and also for maintenance of the grass in front and back of my townhouse. I received estimates from 3 different companies and they were by far the most professional and really seemed to know what they were talking about. The estimate for the back patio came to about $12k. Even though I decided to table that project for this year, I plan to come back to them next year for the patio install. I also asked them about doing a "Spring Cleanup" on my front yard - clearing fallen leaves, trimming hedges, putting down landscape fabric, separating my neighbor's area from mine with a border and laying mulch. The quote I received for that service was $400 +. I wasn't convinced it was worth it, and decided to research doing it myself. A trip to Home Depot, $75, and a few questions later, my project was complete. It was pretty physical work, but I'd say the savings was worth it. I did hire the company to maintain my front and back lawn. They administer lawn care treatments and mow every other week. That costs about $65 a month. This was more pricy than some of the other estimates, but I felt content that they would get it done and the service would be good. I'm having some trouble with spotting in my back yard (it looks like the grass is dying , but when I called to discuss it they called me back right away and offered to go out and take a look the very next day. This issue isn't resolved yet, but I would say they offer very good customer service and display great professionalism. I would recommend.

We got an estimate on some lawn work: sod and trimming some bushes and debris removal. The estimate was fair and the person who did the estimate was on time and professional. We had our house on the market and could not afford to pay what they wanted. I would reach out to them in the future, if we needed such work.

Excellent, no other word for it. Lowest price of 5 landscapers pulled from Angie's list. Spot on timing for when they could start. Crews were always timely and professional. The important part is they take pride in their work and stood by until it was done properly and to everyone's satisfaction. Absolutely beautiful job and a pleasure to work with. Have signed up for the lawn care service and looking forward to next year when the budget can afford the next phase. Highly recommend.

Excellent response. Fair pricing, even a military discount. Highly recommend Chad Evans and his team!!!! They are doing bi weekly lawn cutting and edging. They are also doing lawn treatments. 10 total treatments over the course of a year. Finally, we had them design our entire yard, plus set up a plan for implementation of all of the design elements.

Curt and his crew are really on the ball! I have them do both of my homes yard maintenance. I recently had some new sod put in the front yard. I dropped a text to Curt to ask him to make sure his crew knew this when they came to mow this am. Those fellows set everything up right! No damage to the yard (it is very soggy) they bagged the extra grass. I am always so impressed with the professionalism of this company. I'll never use anyone else. Thanks Curt!

I have two reservations. I have asked them to put the grass clippings on my compost pile. I have asked for that when I have been present, but most of the time I am not. They don't remember to do.it. They also mow during really hot, dry weather when the grass has not grown and really does not need it. The office phone staff is polite and helpful.

I had two planters, one of which I needed cleaned up. Initially they targeted the wrong planter (which was not an issue) but I still had the problem planter that needed work. When I called and brought the error to their attention, my complaint was very graciously handled and the job was undertaken without charge! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised (that I was not charged extra) and am a very happy client. I will definitely hire them again for any future landscaping projects. Excellent customer service!

I have been using this company for over a year now. Their weekly mow price of $35 is a great find! They always show up on time and do a nice job. I've asked for several quotes and changes in schedule and they are always accommodating.

I chose not to have work done for financial reasons, but I wanted to pass along a few notes on why I was really impressed with Independence Landscaping. First, I submitted three requests for proposal on a Saturday, not expecting to hear back from any of the three until mid-week. Independence was incredibly responsive and contacted me almost immediately. I am a little impatient so this was extremely impressive to me. Second, Chad came out and could not have been more punctual. He was quick and to the point when measuring and examining the lawn (and tree/shade and sun coverage), but very thorough. Chad wrote a proposal on the spot and went over every cost item line-by-line. The only up sell was for a lawn-care plan (fertilizer, etc.) which is to be expected. In this case, I think it is warranted - and - he was not pushy; he encouraged the purchase once and that was it. Bottom line: I chose not to have the work done this time around but Independence Landscaping will ALWAYS be at the top of the list when I am looking for landscaping services.

It was excellent and professional service.

When it rained, there was like a river between my house and my neighbors that was washing away the back yards. Chad put in a french drain between our homes and tied in both of our downspouts into it. They stick to their estimates; a downspout was missed on the estimate but they still did it at no added cost to us. Now when it rains, we no longer have a river between the two houses. They cleared out the backyard, built up the hill, and planted ground plants under the trees to help hold the soil in place. We also re-sod the fronts and side of the house. Independence comes and mows it during the growing season and we have been pleased with the care they have given. I have more work that I plan on having them do around my yard and patio's. I liked that they do not push on getting things done. They give you the plans and estimate and then it is up to you to proceed or not. Chad is a great guy to work with.

We contacted Chad at Independence Landscape when we had cement stairs in our backyard declared unsafe during an appraisal for a mortgage refinance. Instead of replacing the stairs, Chad recommended removing the stairs, landscaping the hillside with timbers and using pavers to build a walk on top of the hill with new stairs off-set to the side gradually sloping to the lower level. The demo work was accomplished in one day and the construction completed in 2 1/2 days. This was one day ahead of schedule. Robert was the crew chief onsite and did an excellent job managing his people, insuring the construction was completed promptly and efficiently. The crew cleaned up at the end of each day's work and the final day's cleanup included seeding and mulching. We highly recommend Chad, Robert and all the folks at Independence Landscape for your landscaping/hardscaping needs. We plan on using Independence Landscaping for some additional work in the near future.

It went very well and I'd use them again.

We use Independence to mow our front and back lawns on our townhouse. They were on a biweekly contract. We found they do a good job for a good price. We recruited all of our neighbors and now the entire neighborhood looks sharp!

I have used Independence Landscape for lawn care and miscellaneous yard work for 4-1/2 years and have been quite happy with their work. The planting bed is the first major project they've done for me, and, on the basis of their fine work, I have more projects in the planning stages. The crew of 3 were all quite knowledgeable and skilled. They easily handled the leveling process on uneven ground and construction of the various angles required by my design. I was also impressed that the foreman suggested a better design for the steps I planned on both ends of the planting bed, for which I gave my approval.

Within a day of emailing my request for an estimate to Independent Landscaping, I received a call from Curt who promptly scheduled an estimate at a time convenient to me. Curt arrived at my house on time, listened to my goals for the yard - to maximize its use as a "kid-friendly" area, and proposed a landscape that would work for our family. He answered all the questions I had about what trees would need to be removed to make the plan work, alternatives for landscaping the area where tree cover prevented healthy grass growth - and even came out a second time to confirm the specifics! As promised, he emailed me an estimate/contract within a week of his first visit to the house, and sent his crew out on the days he had scheduled with me. His crew was quick, but very thorough in their work, and both friendly and professional. My kids - and the dog - love the "new" yard and having so much more space to run around in. Curt's landscaping really opened the yard up and easily doubled the open footage. I am very glad I chose to work with Independence Landscape and Lawn Care.

From start to finish, Chad, Curt and the whole crew have taken care of every landscape and lawn care need to keep my house looking amazing! Independence Landscape is affordable, reliable and quality driven. It is amazing how they can accomplish so much in so little time. In one day, they transformed my overgrown, eyesore of a lawn into the envy of my neighborhood!

It was an excellent experience. The salesperson (who I believe is one of the owners) worked around our schedule to come give an estimate. The crew arrived a few days later, did their job with little instruction from us, and left the place looking great. I would recommend them.
