I have a basement apartment and my tenant had just moved out. When I first saw the place without their clothes covering the floor, all I could think was "WOW they did this in only 12 months living here!" I really did not know that people could get the carpet so dirty and covered with so many spots in only 1 year of living there. I thought I will have to replace the carpet, especially the one in the bedrooms, which was a light beige originally, but the original color could not be seen any more except for a nice clean rectangle where their bed used to be. Hew was able to save me from replacing the carpets. I was so happy from his work. He came on time and within 2 hours was able to almost restore the carpets to their previous condition. I could not believe it when I saw the final result. He was very nice and professional. I will definitely use his again in the future and would recommend him to others.

An excellent job was performed to clean our carpets. Hew performed a great job. Stairs were done and extra rooms were done at a very reasonable price. Arrived on time and worked hard with no supervision. He was very open to answering my questions, as I have not had many carpets professionally cleaned before. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this service. I liked that the main carpet machine was kept outside and he just worked with flexible hoses that stretched everywhere upstairs and down in our 2 story job. When it comes to having it done, I will not have to wonder who to go to, as I will pick up the phone and call him. Performed job to specifications and beyond and did extra too. Excellent job!

It went really well. They did a very good job on removing the stains. I plan to use him again.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. It was good. He left the fans and picked it up the next day to help the drying process so that was pretty nice. He came back and he wasn’t happy with how some things turned out so he redid it. He responded immediately.

First I'll say that Hew arrived in the two hour window and called 30 minutes before arriving just as he said he would (in fact, he had to wait for me for a little bit). In this day and age, that is no small thing. I thought the job was very professionally done. Hew's a real nice guy, after he finished the job we had a good chat, he's a real genuine guy and I'll hire him again and recommend him to anyone needing their carpets done.

He left 5 commercial fans to help dry the carpets. I left them on until the evening. Since it was good weather the day after - I was able to leave them on my deck for him to pick up. I thought it was very nice of him to leave the fans all day. Mr. Lobban is very professional and I would use Hew's again

It went very well. Hew showed up exactly when he said he would. The carpets look just as good as new. He was polite,courteous, and efficient. People have commented how much better the carpet looks without even knowing we got them steam-cleaned.

The cleaner arrived on time and got to work cleaning the carpet and stairs. The stairs turned out nice. After charging extra $$ to remove a large stain on the carpet, the stain is still there (in fact, more prevalent). I could have done a better job on the stain by renting a cleaning machine myself. I would not call this company again.

. I have used Hew's before and he did a great job then so I was happy to buy the deal and save on getting a needed cleaning done. He arrived on time and measured everything and gave me the price for the extra areas added to the deal. I found it fair and he went to work. I am always amazed at how clean the indoor/outdoor carpets in the sunroom and porch are when he is done. The basement carpet had some water spots which he was able to remove. It is a light colored Berber and I was not sure they would come out. He left me 5 fans to run all day to dry everything, then picked them up in the pm.

Hew showed up on time. He exceeded my expectations. Explained what the cleaning would do (stains) and would not (cat urine odor), and suggested ways I could address the latter. He even volunteered to help me pull up a corner of the carpet where the smell was strong, so that I could seal it (suggested I get a can of sealant from Home Depot for $30, and some new padding) myself for a fraction of the cost of a professional. Hew pre-treated the areas with enzymes, and provided me with some tips for spot-cleaning in the future, and other odor-control tricks. I can't recommend him highly enough. Complete pleasure to work with.

The good: the carpets that were cleaned were almost spotless. Scheduling was simple. I called the provider, we booked an appointment just a few days in advance. The bad: the technician was more than 30 minutes late, and did not call. Not all of the carpet was cleaned. From what I can tell, no furniture was moved at all, and he did not clean under tables, desks, or my futon. There is now one roughly 4-inch diameter stain that was not there before. The details: From the Hew's Carpet website, I thought $200 of carpet cleaning (purchased with a coupon for $99) would yield 600-800 square feet of carpet cleaning. After I purchased the coupon, I was informed it was for 400 square feet. I measured the space and estimated 370 square feet, plus one additional room. The technician was 30-minutes late, and did not call. When he arrived, he explained that he'd written down the wrong area code for my phone number. He was professional, but not particularly courteous. He measured my apartment, and told me it was 421 square feet. I asked how much it would cost to clean the additional 21 feet. He only replied "expensive." I asked how expensive. He refused. I couldn't tell, nor could I get him to explain, whether he refused to give me a quote or refused to do the work, or both. We agreed that he wouldn't move "all of the furniture," which took up considerably more than 21 square feet, and he proceeded. Before his arrival, I'd moved some furniture into the kitchen, and picked up all of my area rugs. He asked me to help him move a trunk, and I did so, then left for work. He agreed to lock up and leave the key with the building's doorman. All appearances are that he didn't move a single piece of furniture on his own. He did not clean under tables, or my desk, or the futon.

Went great. Hugh gave me a two hour arrival window which he met but, more importantly, he called when he was a 1/2 hour away to make sure I was ready. Hugh inspected and measured all of the carpeting, explained the process he used for cleaning and got to work. The carpets came out looking as good as he had promised. As an added bonus, Hugh left behind three large, high velocity fans to speed up the drying. All I had to do was leave the fans on the front porch for Hugh to pick up later!

I was completely satisfied with the carpet cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. He came when he said he would and did a good job.

This was the best experience I have had on Angie's List. Hugh was professional, punctual, went above and beyond to make sure my carpet had no more bumps! I can't thank Hugh enough for his wonderful service. The price was fantastic as well! Use this service! You can't go wrong.

Responded immediately to my initial phone call and was able to accommodate the only morning I had available. We corresponded three times before the job and Hugh was always attentive and responsive. He showed up on time as promised and did the work exactly as advertised. Terrific experience! I would highly recommend this vendor for carpet cleaning needs.

They ended up charging me $3 per stair. They were right in time and did not try to add anything on. They did a very good job. They moved the furniture which had to be moved out of their way. They used fan’s to dry everything out and then came back later that night to take it back which was good.

All went very well. Very nice man.

though I had emailed back to himWe emailed several times getting a confirmed date and time and even getting an answer to what amount of area is covered. I took time off of work to be home for the appointment and when the end of the time came I called the provider. The owner proceeded to tell me that he did not have an appointment for me even though I had emailed back confirming my selected date and time. The owner was rude in the way he made it sound like it was my fault even after I re-read the emails to him. I would not use this company nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

The service turned out fine. He came out right away. He charged me an extra $10 aside from the $99 big deal because of the five stairs that he had to clean. He did not move the couch and clean under the couch, and that concerned me a little bit. It took a long time for it to dry. He did leave fans. He left them all day, and he picked them up really late that night, but it was damp for a couple of days. I had assumed that he would move the couch because when I had it cleaned in the past, they usually do. Maybe that was something I should have said to him is that it should have to be moved and cleaned as well. He was very responsive. I would probably use his services again in the future because the end result is very clean. It looks so much better.

A lot of spots didn't come out. He was very nice and professional but I've had better experiences with carpet cleaning in the past.

I was moving from my condo and needed to have the unit cleaned for the incoming renter. I had arranged for a another company to perform the services but they did not show up. I was desperate because I was leaving town the next day, and the new resident was planning on moving in. Hews adjusted services with another customer (with their permission of course) and arrived EARLY (with my permission) to clean. They did an EXCELLENT job cleaning carpets, walls, refrigerator, closets, bathrooms - everything. I was very impressed and appreciative. So was the new tenant.

Hew's carpet care was awesome! I had logged into Angies list at 5:30 in the AM after spending an hour trying to clean up the dog's accident on our carpet. I found Hew's after searching for carpet cleaners and picked them because of the rating and the responses. Hugh came to our home that same day to clean the carpets and removed the stains. He was phenomenal. He was prompt and efficient and left blowers behind to dry the carpet. There is no stain left on the carpet. Truly a great company that I will use again.

I had purchased a big deal and he charged me extra for cleaning steps. I have used him before and he does a really good job, it is just that he now does less than he did 2 years ago. I guess because of the economy.
