Service was done in a professional manor. Carpet looks brand new again. All stains have been removed. Would use this service again.

Great. I have had Hugh do this several times and am always pleased. The carpet takes a day to dry, but he provides plastic booties to put over your shoes. He doesn't try to get you to buy any special sprays.

Hugh did a fantastic job cleaning my apartment's carpets. He removed the stains and even went above and beyond and helped me fix a broken piece of furniture (break was from before and was not involved in carpet cleaning, I just happened to ask him for advice and he just went and ahead and fixed it in a matter of minutes which was awesome consideration). He was careful and knowledgeable. Punctual and responsive.

Very impressed with the stains removed. I just wish the area around the baseboards would have come out a little cleaner.

Hugh Lobban was very hard working and pleasant. He answered all questions. The carpet was wet, but by the morning it dried and looked very clean. There was one area our older Yorkshire Terrier urinated on which was on the landing of the stairs. It looked better the next day but was not completely out. I paid the $99.00 Big Deal voucher plus $157. I will definitely use Hugh again.

When he arrived, he demanded an additional $20, in addition to the agreed price, allegedly for hauling his equipment into my home. I had never heard of such a thing before. Since my furniture was already in disarray in preparation for him, I paid the money.

The service was excellent and they were able to get the spots out of my carpet in the basement that had been there for years. Would definitely recommend.

iHugh Lobban, the proprietor of Hew's Carpet, is the consummate professional. He is very flexible in scheduling appointments and is willing to work with his customers' schedules to an exceptional degree. Our basement carpet had never been cleaned and was fairly dirty with stains from spilled drinks and food. Mr. Lobban cleaned the carpet with an impressive amount of care and patience. He spot treated numerous troubled areas and was able to nearly completely remove an annoying stain on the light-colored carpet that actually came from fabric dye that resulted from water dripping on a piece of dark furniture from a kitchen leak on the above floor and then down to the carpet. It was clear that he takes great pride in his work. This was the third time I've used Mr. Lobban and I will definitely be using his services again. I highly recommend him to Angie's List subscribers in the DMV area.

There were several spots in the carpet that I had attempted to remove over the years but Hugh had no problem in getting them out. There are some carpet cleaners who state that the carpet is dry in a few hours. Hugh warned me that his method is dry after about a day. It actually took almost two days but what a great difference. He even provided me with plastic booties to ensure that I didn't mar the carpet while it was drying. I'm VERY pleased with the results.

Hugh did the most thorough carpet cleaning we've ever had. He was meticulous in pre-treating all the spots and then doing the deep cleaning. He also instructed me on how to properly care for the carpet afterward. Once the carpet dried, none of the spots reappeared which happens sometimes. Whatever process he uses, it's much better than we've ever had! Thank you Hugh!

It was good. We had additional work done. I didn't like the scent of the product. It was overpowered. The price was a little high. Carpets weren't that clean. He was very nice and very polite.

Hew was very timely and accommodating for the service. His pricing is fair and well worth the job performed. He had a high level of professionalism and did the job right - he did not rush to finish the job. I had an empty house, but he paid attention to detail. I would definitely recommend and use again.

First of all, great communication with Hugh throughout the whole process. Scheduling was easy and convenient. As promised, Hugh called approximately 30 minutes ahead of arrival to give an ETA. Then the magic happened. Hugh cleaned our extremely grimey Berber carpets in the bedrooms, hallway and stairs. We'd let them go far too long and I was concerned they wouldn't come clean, but they look like new! We will definitely use this service again - before the carpets get so bad!

We called Hugh the first time to stretch the carpet in a few places in our rental townhouse. He was prompt, professional and absolutely wonderful to have in our home. He not only stretched the 2 places that needed to be done, he went and inspected the rest of the house and took care of a couple of very minor spots for free! After we had all the furniture out we needed to have one of the rooms cleaned. Of course we called Hugh! He responded immediately and was there when he said he'd be there. He even successfully removed a hideous black stain that we thought was permanent! amonWe will call Hugh for any and all our carpet care needs.

The voucher can not be substituted for other services. Your voucher is worth 350 sq. ft. no matter the condition(example heavily soiled) of residential wall to wall tacked down carpet or $200 subtracted from the total, steps are not included steps are $3 each lightly soil or $5 each heavily soil, one voucher per job, does not included soil filtration(black around the edges), ink stain removal is not included, paint stain removal are not included, red stains removal is not included, does not included water damage clean-up, does not include pet stain (like for example pet urine stain), does not include heavy odors (like for example pet body odor, pet, cat or snake urine etc.), if you miss your appointment a $20 applied, we broke a candy dish recently from moving furniture so we will not be moving furniture anymore, oriental or area rugs are not included $2 per square foot in home cleaning, please confirm this is the correct address, please have the carpets vacuumed, light furniture moving only, if this an apartment we charge $20 to put the equipment up one flight of steps or using elevator, two flight of steps $30 and so one, the equipment is heavy, Air mover fans can be rent for $25 allowing your carpet to dry quickly, parking is your responsibility you are required to provide parking and please have a printed copy of the voucher. We also do air duct cleaning, oriental rugs total restoration(reweaving, re-fringing, re-coloring, pet stain removal), maid service(Saturday and Sunday), drapery cleaning, carpet protection, carpet cleaning and carpet repairs(stretching holes, burns, patch). Cheers Hugh Lobban I called for clarification, he answered and said "it's in the second line" I asked once more because I didn't understand what I read and he just kept saying " you read the second line" That made me feel stupid so I said " OK thank you". The punctuality and work was good but the communication was the worst Iv'e seen in a long time. The reason I said no to using him again is because of this review. After saying anything negative again I wouldn't want him back in my house. I am a contractor on Angie's List too and if someone ask me about a small basic job I quote it verbally or send a personalized quote if needed. That is just crazy to send me a blanket letter of prices and when I called to ask about it he just kept saying "look at the email... look at the email"

Overall it was just okay. It is about the same quality as if you were to steam clean yourself. The strangest part was the carpets did not smell fresh after he was done. "Odor" treatment was extra so we didn't opt for it. We didn't have any odors so why get it. I would have expected the carpets to at least smell like they'd been cleaned. They did not. They were also soaking wet for two days. I know one of our rooms had heavily soiled carpets but this wasn't where they were wet. There were just strange wet spots here and there. Overall just meh

I have been using Hew for 4 years now, he always shows up on time, does a great job, and is pleasant to have in the home. I would highly recommend him for any carpet or furniture related service.

It went great. He truly is a professional in the carpet care business. He restretched and then professionally cleaned the carpet. Will definitely use him again to restretch the carpeted stairway.

Hew did an excellent job.. Never thought he could get out as much dirt and as many stains as he did on an 18 yr old carpet. While to doesn't look new it's 100% better. Would highly recommend his service.. Will have him complete the rest off the house in the near future. And he's a great guy to talk with. Much appreciated service.
