Arrived at the very outside limit of time span. Took a long time to perform services. Left three driers to get water out of carpet, which indicated to me that his machinery was not working well (left carpet too saturated.) Felt he was expensive despite the "special deals" and that his method of calculating costs was expensive. All he cleaned was the family room (approx 15 x 18, one 5 x 7 rug and one 3 x 7 runner -- and it totalled more than $450 -- and I had purchased a "special offer" which was supposed to lower the price. Cleaning was sufficient, but not great.

I contacted Hew's Wednesday afternoon and he scheduled me for early morning Thursday; he showed up promptly at the scheduled time and was ready to work as I was rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. He did a thorough inspection of the spaces to clean and provided a written estimate of the cost, with and without the Angies List discount. He was professional and efficient in his work. The quality of his work was excellent, as many stains I thought were permanent have disappeared. He provided blowers to help drying the carpet thoroughly and was flexible in establishing a time to pick up the blowers the next day. I absolutely recommend him and look forward to hiring him next year to clean the carpets.

I purchased a big deal for 99.00 for carpet cleaning. I was under the assumption when I purchased the deal it was for three rooms however once the company arrived they stated different. We wanted our living room area and our basement cleaned. They didn't do our basement because they were going to charge an additional 50.00 dollars for the service. We felt like we were not getting the deal we thought we were. The carpet area they did clean looked good. When they were done they left there equipment at our home and stated they would come back that evening and pick it up however we were not able to be home that evening so they stated they would come first thing int he morning. It was a solid week before they came to our home to take back there equipment.

I had him do some additional work. The owner actually came out and did the work, he did a good job and he was pleasant to deal with. The pricing was fair. He was a good, solid provider. I would probably call him again.

Poor service and barely adequate cleaning

Mr. Hew did an excellent job. We highly recommend his work. The Angies List coupon was a good value for the cleaning but the extra task of repairing the damaged carpet was also reasonable.

Cleaner arrived on time, went right to work and took approxmately 4 hours to do the job. He loaned us three large fans to aid in the drying process and recleaned one small section at the head of the stairs that needed additional work. This was done the next day.

Mr. Hews successfully removed two recent stains and one ancient one from a stool and two carpets. Great service for a bargain price.

The service was great. He was extremely friendly all around. He is easy to work with, he keeps reasonable rates and he service everything on time. He did a pretty good job. Price is comparable to anyone else but I just assumed that they were competitive.

Everything went well. The gentleman arrived on time, had all of the equipment necessary to complete the job, and did a thorough cleaning. In addition, he was courteous and professional.

Job done on time, all carpets looked good.

It turned out well. I wasn't home, my fiance was home and he said they arrived on time and they cleaned the rug and that was it. They charged some dollars for each step and it was probably $130.

The owner of the company performed the cleaning. He was on-time, cheerful and professional. Will definitely use Hew again!!

I was unable to use the big deal due to the condition of my carpets. The service provider came out on time. He was very professional and polite. He determined that he could not perform the cleaning. I appreciated his honesty and I would highly recommend.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went very well. We paid extra as we had them do a repair. He was timely, professional, responsible, and a good person.

He did a good job. He got all the spots out by hand. The service is very good. He is a little expensive but he does provide good service.

Contractor came when they said they would. Job was done quickly and well. Would definitely use them again.

Purchased the Big Deal for Hew's Carpet Cleaning and called to schedule the cleaning approximately 1 month in advance. Day of, I called Mr. Hew to confirm time. He advised me that he had forgotten about the appointment and could come the next day. Fortunately, he showed right on time the next day and everything went perfectly. Great job and would use again despite the mixup.

Hew came to the house and once he saw the state of the carpets informed me that they were too dirty/old/worn and that most of the stains would not be completely gone. In his opinion it would not have worth the money or time to try. I knew this was a possibility and appreciated the honesty.

Carpet cleaning scheduled for block of time and cleaner was to call ahead with estimated time of arrival/notice. Cleaner called wanting to be there in 5 minutes and was annoyed when I told him that I needed longer to get there.

Great - Mr. Hew arrived on time, did the shampoo himself, left fans to assist drying time,

Good results of removing the spots but beware of buying the $200 voucher and expecting to get this value applied to invoice when it's a smaller job. I asked for an estimate before mentioning I had a voucher and was quoted $140 for the small room plus $20 extra to haul equipment up the stairs from a phone call. When it came time to pay and me having a $200 voucher you'd think that'd be more than enough to cover the cost. Instead he told me I also owe him $20 CASH for the hauling of equipment. He became angry for me questioning why $200 wasn't enough to cover it then I became angry for his lack of logic and gave him the $20 just to leave. Don't offer a voucher deal if you aren't going to treat it the same as cash.

Service provider says he was out of contact with Angie's List and that I should get a refund. I had requested carpet cleaning for today either AM or PM or next Tuesday as the painter left last night and the room was empty. He said, he was booked for weeks out and I can't manage that. I will search elsewhere for the service.

Fine. We ended up with a bulge in the carpet but they came back and stretched the area. IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: I am not sure why your response was 'UNFAIR' when we gave a positive review and said that you even came back to make the customer happy. We were pleased and just gave the details and how you made the customer happy. We were planning on calling you again as overall we were happy but it appears that you may not want to service us?
