The job was done in a very professional manner. Most furniture was moved and fans were left to dry the carpet. Everything was put back the next evening. A much more smooth and pleasant experience than I had expected.

We've used Hew in the past for both our primary residence and rental property in the area. As before, Hew called as he was en-route, he arrived a bit early, cleaned the entire carpet very well and left two fans to help dry the stairs much faster. He called to ensure we were pleased with the service and made arrangements to recover his fans. Hew consistently maintains a high standard of quality. In fact, we were so please with his work, we decided to have him clean three oriental rugs that were purchased while visiting abroad. We highly recommend this company and will use his services again.

Everything went great and we were very happy with the company and the quality of the work.

The carpet cleaning service performed some basic cleaning services on a couple of rooms, halls, and stairwells in our home. Most of the work was good, but a pet stain remained in one of the rooms. Hew's was very responsive and sent the cleaner a second time. The stain was easily removed and we were not charged. This is a solid, honest provider.

The representative communicated generously about his arrival. He gave me a good 20 minutes warning prior to coming out so that I could get other things done which was very gracious of him rather than having me wait for a 2-4 hour window. He went right to work when he arrived and did not try to up charge me. He just did exactly what was requested, the carpet was good as new when he left and he left the property secured. I would do business again with Hew's Carpet Cleaning, they are the real deal and the positive comments are all warranted.

The service man came at the time requested. He took a look at the 2 rooms to be cleaned and said it would cost $400 normally but $300 with the big deal coupon. He also was not happy there were furnitures in the room and asked if I vacuum the carpets and said he does not do vacuum before carpet cleaning. So, I said no thank you and asked him to leave. I later scheduled a steam cleaning of the same area with Stanley Steamer for $99. Stanley steamer does not require their clients to vacuum or move furniture (stated clearly on their web site). Stanley steamer's crew came promptly and did a great job.

the vendor (Hugh) called to say he would be late. No big deal on this day. When he arrived, I saw that this was a one man crew. I had removed everything from the room except a love seat, couch, and recliner. I asked how much would it be to add some carpet downstairs, and he gave me a price of $100 as an add on. I accepted, much to my chagrin. Hugh made no attempt to move or alter any of the furniture. Basically, weaving around the furniture was how it was accomplished. I would guess that 60% of the carpet was cleaned. Afterwards, he put plastic tabs under the furniture as if he had moved them and needed protection from the non-existent cleaning fluid. Spots came back the next day. I would choose someone else in the future.

The carpets look fantastic! Looks brand new after he cleaned it and the carpet is four years old! There were places where the carpet was black and numerous food stains in the family room next to the kitchen and he was able to remove all of them! I will recommend him to all of my tenants from now on. He was more expensive than the average carpet cleaning company, but he was well worth it for what he had to do!

I called for oriental carpet cleaning and Mr. Hew came same day/afternoon. The red wine spill that created the necessity for carpet cleaning also damaged my favorite white and pastel ottoman. Mr. Hew spent an hour successfully removing the stain and charged me $35. He is a miracle worker. I expect the same from the carpet cleaning which was promised in 10 days. Stay tuned...

Went fine but carpets did not end up as clean as I had hoped. There are still a lot of spots and stains. It might be that my expectations were too high though and should probably just get new carpets.

The provider set up a date and time and called 30 minutes before arrival at the condominium to confirm he was coming. He completed the work in a reasonable amount of time and did a good job.

Hugh returned my call promptly and came to my house to give me an estimate. He explained that there were 2 options : (a) remove the draperies and take them away for cleaning or ( b) have the draperies cleaned on site using steam. I opted for the second option. Hugh came on the agreed time and date for the cleaning. He called me to let me know he was on his way. I found him to be very professional and I am pleased with his work. The draperies now look much better.

Great, carpet looked like new. If you live in an area where they do aggressive towing help him out & bring a pass down to him, he wasn't toast on my watch but had just been hit by Pete's Towing in my condominium complex earlier. He was really great & I'd hate to have him get towed again.

Hugh, the owner, was very polite, courteous and punctual. He performed all the work himself. He was meticulous about taking his time to stretch the carpet where needed, before he started to clean the carpet. Before using the steam/extraction, he spot cleaned difficult area and also sprayed cleaning solution on all the carpet. Then he used a buffer/brush to work into the carpet that cleaning solution. He also was very reasonable to work when deciding what furniture to move.

I selected Hew's based on it being at the head of the list for my area, and took the Angies' list "big deal" $99 coupon for $200 carpet cleaning services, up to 350 square feet. The web site required me to pay for the coupon, then pick 3 possible service dates off the web list of openings. I also provided my cell phone and my I-Phone e-mail in the comments field, requesting I be contacted back via those contacts, and not the Angie's list system email. I also indicated the service was for the carpeted stairs in 3 level town house and one hall. The site indicated I would be contacted in 3 business days to arrange the schedule of day and time. The answer came back on the 3d business day, to the Angies list default e-mail, not my active mobile e-mail account. It indicated I would be charged an additional $3 per stair step, a $20 fee to move the equipment up 1 flight of stairs or $30 for 2 flights, and additional charges for moving any furniture and more about apartment buildings and elevators. It finished with a boiler plate infomercial of other services I could purchase from them. This e-mail also provided a phone number at the bottom so I called. Hugh answered and I explained that I had hardwood and tile floors and just needed the carpeted stairs and a small hallway cleaned. Hugh explained the $99 was valid only for 350 sq feet of cleaning wall-to-wall carpet, not stairs, and that I would have to pay the extra charges outlined in the e-mail I got after buying the service. I called Angies list call center for a refund, and got Autumn, who promptly found a different service provider with a "big deal" coupon that would substitute a flight of stairs for the square footage of a room. So my experience is that Hew's is a bait and switch business model. I recommend avoiding them. But Angie's List certainly made good on the refund and found a different service to meet my needs. The man who answered the phone told me he won't service my area. I was on their website, which indicates that they do service my area. I asked for a supervisor, and he informed me that he is the owner. He said he loses too much money by going where I live. He was fairly rude, so I ended the call. They need to update their website if this is an issue.

The deal I purchased was apparently for only 450 square feet, but the provider measured the area beforehand and quoted me a fair price before he even started the job. I appreciated that. As it ended up, I got a $400 cleaning for $200 bucks with the Angie's List deal. It was a lot of carpet, and he managed to get some pet stains out that I thought we made in indelible pee. Nice guy, too!

It's the second time that I used them. I liked the service the first time so I asked for the same guy the second time. I don't think I'm gonna use him again. Even though he did a decent job, it's just that I think I want somebody that is a bit more energetic because he's an older gentleman and he's kinda slow. Some of the spots in the carpet that he did before came back. I told him why they came back and he said that he'll treat them again and this time around, it should not come back. Well, it's been 2 months now and some of those spots are coming back. It makes me feel like somehow, he's just not the best. I like him. He's a very nice and professional gentleman. He did whatever I want him to do, like to go over the same spot more than once, and he did it without complaining. I need somebody that will get me the spotless carpet that I want without any of these reoccurring things. He came out soon after I purchased the deal. He was very punctual and came when he was supposed to come.

Went very well. Performed in a professional manner. Mr. Hews is dedicated provider.

He was prompt.... he cleaned the rug without moving any of the chairs.... so he cleaned around them.... when questioned about that , he was gruff. we did not insist.... rug looks ok ,not great.. would not use again.

Service was great. Easy to schedule, arrived on time, explained the process and set expectations on what stains will come out and performed the work well. I would hire them again.

This is my second time using Hew. Each time they have been fast and done a great job. This time I got their services on a deal and was very pleased that they did not try and sell me additional services. Hew just did the job from the deal and was done. It was exactly what I was looking for.

It went okay. I ended up paying $210 by check plus the $99. When I came home that night and I looked at what it actually cost and what I paid and I absolutely got no deal. From the price perspective, I got ripped off.

They showed up when scheduled. The work went well and the carpets look clean. I am totally satisfied.
