I left a key for the workers to come in and get started. My neighbor came by to answer any questions and locked up after they left. Dew to the square footage of carpeting there was an additional charge of $40 added to the $99 special. I was really amazed at how great the carpet looked. All the stains I couldn't get rid of were gone or 99% gone. I did run the ceiling fans in all areas that had them and box fan in the hallway overnight. The next morning the carpet was dry and looked brand new.

I wanted to use the deal to have a carpet cleaned that had been moderately, not even severely, damaged by pets. When I explained this, I was told the deal did not apply for pet damaged carpets, but it could be done for a substantial increase in the price. I said I really just wanted a normal cleaning, maybe using a solution made specifically for pet odors. I was advised that the additional (considerable) charges would apply. I said never mind, I will find another company. Subsequently, my husband and I rented a carpet cleaner from Giant Food, bought some carpet cleaning solution made for pet stains/odors, and cleaned the carpet up at a FRACTION of what the company would have charged us. It took us a couple of hours, but we knew we got it as clean as possible. 12/30/2015 Comment: I hadn't looked at my old AL reviews until now, but, upon seeing Hew's response to my review above, I feel I need to point out that I actually did call their office to clarify that there weren't any pet stains, because I had cleaned it up, but I just wanted to use a regular deodorizing cleaner, but the person I spoke with (Mr. Lobban? I don't remember, now, but it was a male.) said the additional charges would still have to apply to the Big Deal because the carpeting had been "pet-damaged." (I said I would check with my husband to see what he thought, and he thought it was not such a good deal with the additional cleaning charges and the extra effort and cost to move the furniture, which is why I declined the service the very next day.) The written discussion was held via Angie's List messages between Mr. Lobban and myself. Below, please find the verbatim transcript: I do not know whether he was the writer of the response, but, certainly, between the considerable extra cleaning costs, over and above Angie's Big Deal price, and the fact that I, an elderly woman, would be required to either move all of the basement furniture myself, including a large couch and loveseat, or have to hire and pay a third party to move it all, it is obvious why I declined to utilize the services of this company. it was a very smooth experience

The carpets didn't come out as clean as they could have.

This was the second time Hugh had cleaned the carpets in our rental townhouse in Brambleton. This time it was the final cleaning after our moving out. The townhouse has been a rental for several years, and the carpets show the years of wear. There were no major issues with the carpets, however, the owners required cleaning, flea and tick treatment. Hugh does it all. We are confident, the quality of Hugh's work will go a long way toward us getting our security deposit on the property returned. When Hugh completed the job, the carpets looked like new, all the way to the farthest corners in the closets! He takes the time to do the job right. He takes pride in his work and it shows.

Great experience. The company was very responsive and performed great work.

I inspected the remaining stains and knew they were simply a buildup of dust under the bed, and not any kind of liquid, food or other type of stain. He reiterated that he spent a lot of time on the job and tried every cleaning method available to him, but after some insistence on my part, he agreed to come back and try again. He returned with what looked like a floor buffing machine and was able to quickly remove the stains and complete the job to my satisfaction.

The experience was just fine. I wasn’t there for most of it but the guy was also friendly. He came in and did what needed to get done. The landlord was happy. He did good. He was on time.

Hew did an excellent job and was professional and cordial. He had difficulty with his machine, but had a replacement pump ready and knew how to deal with that, so the job still got done. So he was well prepared.

He was prompt, on time, alone and doesn't move furniture. Home owner preparation: removed all miscellaneous items, placed furniture slides under heavy pieces and vacuum floor. General condition: 30 year old good carpet and padding, medium traffic, not heavily soiled, no pets, cleaned every 3 to 5 years. I have used several carpet cleaning services but this is the best carpet cleaning job ever, very well satisfied with price paid and would use again. It took approximately 36 hours to dry using one fan. Cost is based on size, condition and area access. Web site coupon was used.

Our house was empty before he did it, which is good because they will not move furniture for cleaning. Would recommend for move-out/move-in cleaning.

I sent a refund request back to Angie's List because the guy came over and said that the deal doesn't include staircases and area rugs. I was a little confused at that because I thought that if you're paying $200 worth of cleaning, then it should be exactly that worth of cleaning. What you need to be cleaned and not limited. So, I ended up not using the voucher and I shot an email to Angie's List and they sent me a link that I need to go click on and put information there.

The technician was prompt, courteous and professional. The carpets were in need of a thorough cleaning and now they look great. I appreciated that there was no effort to "up sell" me on pet deodorizing or other add-ons. I will definitely use this company again as it was probably the best carpet cleaning experience I have had in 20+ years of home ownership.

The service was very good. He was very, very good person to work with. The price was very good. They had very good quality. Their responsiveness and punctuality were very good. Everything was great.

The cleaner was late for the appointed time and was not easy to deal with. He was complaining about the boxes on my door, which has nothing to do with his cleaning work. He raised his voice when I inquired about the additional bill and he was not friendly at all. Will never get his services again.

Hew was very professional. He was friendly, informative and punctual. He did a clean job throughout. I cannot fault him. The only reason I gave him a B on quality is that the carpet is a very light color and it changed slightly (yellowed) on the stairs that were more grubby and needed to be deeper cleaned; I think Hew had to use stronger cleaning fluids.

I purchased the deal where you get 300 square feet for just $99. Our basement is larger than that and we asked for stairs to be done so it was a little bit more. The tech arrived on time and did a great job. There were old pet stains left in the carpet by the previous owner and he got those out. I'd recommend them.

It went pretty bad. He quoted a price over the phone then when he actually had the rug, he added all kinds of additional charges and it ended up costing more than if we used anybody else without a coupon.

The provider showed on time and performed the service as asked although I later felt that the quality wasnt there based on what I have seen at other places. There were a few stains which were not discussed and left out.

It went very well. The service provided was punctual and efficient. The carpet looked new when he finished.

Mr. hew is the owner and the one who came and did the cleaning. He was wonderful! Very professional, very meticulous and he did a great job. He got out all the stains except one that was there when we bought the house. He was so friendly and polite, I can't recommend him enough. We would definitely use him again! You could tell that he takes pride in the work he does and that is reflected in the final product. He did an awesome job.
