Huey was polite and on time. I chose him b/c of the ratings and Angie's Power deal. MISTAKE. I was told a long time ago, a good/ great company does not have to advertise or discount it rates if has high quality product to sell. Huey's business must be suffering so he is offering discount. He came into the house and commented how clean the carpet already was... only little foot traffic where tenants travel around furniture. residence was now completely empty of furnishings to make it easy; and I wanted him carpets to be perfect for new tenants. Huey has portable cleaner... about size of large cooler (not suction/ heater unit mounted in van/ truck) I doubt it is that strong nor heat the water that hot. Huey moved very quickly while spraying and sucking up spray on carpet. He quickly spritzed the air high above the carpet w/ some add'l cleaner, which he did not charge me for (thx) and ran the wand over the carpet after solution fell. I have rented steam cleaners before and watched other professionals. The key is to get carpet wet, rub it once/twice and slowly draw wand back to suck up as must water/ moisture as possible. When he was done, Huey started packing up his eqpt and I walked on the carpet w/ socks. TOTALLY soaking wet in just a few steps. I told him it was too wet. He said it would dry, "don't worry mon" w/ his island accent. I saw him dump water from the machine and only about 1/2 gallon- 1 gallon came out... rest of it was still in my carpet !! I ran 4 high velocity fans 24 hrs and it was still damp the next afternoon (it was not rainy or particularly humid outside). When carpet completely dried 2 days later, I saw little difference than before he came. I rented Rug Doctor cleaner from GIANT store I sucked up much more dirty water and my job (sweaty and time consuming work, which I wanted to avoid) was completely dry w/in 24 hrs

came on time, really scrubbed the carpet. went in every corner , moved chairs, tables, and reciliner.

Hew was great. He called 30 mins before arriving allowing me the chance to get home in time to meet him. He checked the carpet in the house for heavy soiled areas. I live up stairs so he had to carry equipment. He did and provided a great service. I rented one of his industrial fans to help dry the floor quicker. Do to poor planning we had house guest coming late that night or early the next morning. I highly recommend Hew. Quiet person only talks if you engage him. Works hard.

I have used Mr. Hew for rug cleaning in the past and he has done a thorough and timely job, including pick up and delivery. He is less expensive than Hadeed's and I think he does better work. I ordered his deal for carpet cleaning for a rental that I own in town. I left the coordination of 'when' and 'what' was to be cleaned to him and my tenants. Apparently when he showed up to do the work, he refused to move any furniture. My tenants thought this was unreasonable and sent him away. If his deal said that he wouldn't move any furniture in the fine print, I didn't notice it. So here we sit. Their carpets aren't clean, apparently no cooperative arrangement could be made, and he has my funds. I'm a ~little~ disappointed.

Hugh responded immediately to my request for an estimate. He came on a Sunday, which was very convenient for me. I scheduled the service, within 10 days of his visit, through Angie's List messaging service. He was very polite, professional, and provided a written estimate. I took advantage of an Angie's List special. Hugh called me approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival. He thoroughly cleaned all carpeted rooms and two full staircases. He worked consistently, without wasting any time. We spoke briefly, but mainly I left him to do his work. He provided protective blocks under all furniture legs, so there would be no staining. He offered to come back to remove the blocks. I cannot recommended Hew's Carpet Care more highly. He did an outstanding job at a reasonable price. The fact that he is so personable and professional was an added benefit. Again, I would highly recommend this service. I will definitely use them again.

I had a guest who stayed with me for 4 months (with her cats), in my basement room. and after they left, I wiped down every inch of space where the cats has been, but I also needed to get the hair and the smell off the wall-to-wall industrial carpet. Hew called ahead and arrived on time. He measured the space to be cleaned. Most furniture had been moved out of the way, but he moved a small desk to get at a spot underneath that I had not seen before. He was very efficient in his work and explained what he was doing and why, while I watched. He told me about some products that I could buy to further remove cat smell from room but did not try to sell me anything. He also cleaned a small stain on a carpet on an upper level, that I had been trying for several years to remove, without success. I put fans and my dehumidifier to dry the carpets and by the end of the next day, they were completely dry and the room smells clean. The real test will come when my son comes to visit, because cat dander sets off his asthma. I wholeheartedly recommend Hew.

They did clean all the rooms -- but they did not remove most marks and stains in the carpet, and they were completely ineffective with pet stains and odor.

Scheduling was extremely easy and quick. Hew was very prompt in his responses. Hew called before he came so we didn't need to wait. He did a review of the area and confirmed the areas to be cleaned. He cleaned the carpets and let us know when complete. When I checked the next day after drying they were like new - great work!

We are selling our house and needed someone to come in quickly to clean the carpets. We contacted several companies with high Angie's list ratings and Hew's was the first to respond. Hugh showed up the next day ready to work. He did a quick walk through and quoted me a very reasonable price. He then pointed out an Angie's List deal that I had previously missed ($99 for $200 worth of service). I purchased that deal and paid $79 in cash. What a bargain. Hugh was able to get out years of dirt from the carpets as well as ink and paint. The carpets practically look brand new. I could not be happier and would definitely recommend Hew's Carpet Care to anyone looking to get their carpets cleaned.

We've used Hew's Carpet Care for many years now and have always been extremely satisfied. Hugh always arrives right on time and does excellent quality work for a great price. We will definitely call him any time our carpets, air ducts and dryer vents need cleaning. The Angie's list deal is quite a bargain and highly recommended.

This is the second time I used Hew's for cleaning carpets in a rental property. When my tenant moved out of my rental property in June, not only did he not bother to clean the carpets, but there were numerous stains in several rooms and the steps on the main stairs were black (the rug is white). My husband was worried we would have to replace the carpetting. The owner himself came out and hand scrubbed the stains. The carpets look great now and you would never know how bad the carpets were. He also did some carpet repair of a hole on the stairs. He's a little more expensive that some of the other carpet cleaners, but he really does get the the stains out that the other cleaners can't seem to be able to do. Well worth the price

He was professional and friendly. I recommend this company over other companies in Anglist. His price and work is excellent. His price is 1/2 less then other companies for the same work. He take his time to make sure everything is clean properly.

It was flawless. I called Hugh due to good ratings when another carpet cleaner had equipment issues. Very short notice yet Hugh came out the next day and did the work dependably and right on time. I felt instantly comfortable with him and left him to complete the job while my wife attended to other matters. I added Hew's to my contact list- so should you!
