I have used them for the last 10 years. Sometimes I get same day service at the same price, and they call before their appointments. I have always enjoyed that they are honest with me, and that they do not try to get me to do unnecessary procedures. They are very professional and do a great job!

Replaced internal valves to repair low pressure and scalding. Checked for leak, suggested regrouting around tub. Suggested we call Moen for a free hot/cold water indicator ring replacement and explained how to install it when we received it.

It went very well. They were courteous and professional.

We have never been disappointed with who has shown up at our home to service our heating and cooling systems and plumbing dilemmas. If additional parts are required, they expedite acquiring them and complete the job quickly. The assistant who answer the phones is always helpful and even knows many of their customers. If there is a problem that needs the attention of their service manager, you can easily be transferred to him. We have our service contract with Dwyer for two heating and cooling systems. They send a card to remind you to schedule and follow up with a call. Each service they have done for us never needs a call back to 'fix' something. It has always been done right the first time. We had an emergency during Hurricane Isabella with our sump pump...our power and water were out for five days. We live in the City of Alexandria near the Alexandria Hospital. They showed up with battery back up and got it all taken care of only hours after we called. Friends had a pipe burst under the concrete floor in their basement...they showed up at 1:00 AM to get things under control and arrange things for repair. They weren't regular customers, but Dwyer responded immediately. Dwyer handles simple plumbing/heating & cooling issues to the most complex. Every transaction brings satisfaction. I can't say enough good about Dwyer! If you haven't already switched to them, I encourage you to.

It tooked 2 service visits completely repair the problem. First technician thought he solved the problem when he unclogged the drainpipe. Second technician found a small crack in the drainpipe and fixed the problem.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I called in the morning for an appointment and were told they could be out the same day, which made me very happy right off the bat. The technicians were very professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. They replaced the valve and fixed the leak efficiently--they were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were going to do. The company is very upfront about pricing, which I appreciate very much. I would highly recommend Dwyer to anyone.

I called to request an estimate to repair my leaking water line. The person on the phone failed to mention there was a $70 charge to send someone out. The technician arrived and was polite and knowledgeable but this did not make up for surprise fee. Their Angieslist page states they provide free estimates.

We had a small leak in a 1/2" copper pipe in the bathroom floor. We were in the process of renovating the bathroom and had taken up all of the flooring. Everything was exposed down to the joists. All he had to do was cut out the small piece of pipe that was leaking and replace it and sauter couplings on each end of the new piece. He gave us a quote of $300.00!!!!!!!!!! It took my husband about 30-40 minutes to do the job. It would have taken a professional plumber about 10-15 minutes. Lets' see - at his quoted rate, that would have been about $1,200 an hour. We just thought that was too high. We ended up paying $69.95 just to have him come out to the house. I just couldn't help but feel that this was a huge rip-off. We would never recommend Dwyer Plumbing for any job. Go with an independent small business owner - not one of these big companies that charge wayyyyyyyy too much.

I had Dwyer under maintenance contract for years, but this spring after two no shows on Saturday mornings for my spring inspection, I decided to get a new vendor. Additionally, I discovered a leak which was due to poor maintenance on their part. I have used other vendors for various repairs at times because Dwyer's prices were too high. Won't use them again.

Called Dwyer on a Sunday (because, of course, I did this on Saturday...), and they came out first thing Monday AM. Sent two guys, who were very efficient and put down a tarp on my old kitchen floor to protect it. (Made me smile). Took almost 30 feet of snake to clear out our drain...who knows how deeply I'd pushed that plug of pasta. They said that this is one of the most common mistakes people make...be warned! It's an expensive lesson to learn, but we did get a clear drain, quickly and mostly painfree. They left a little bit of dirt on under the sink, but they cleaned up everything else very well. The entire process took less than 45 minutes.

They were about half the price of the other estimate I had. They came out right away and were very neat in their cleanup. Everything works great now.

I had Dwyer to come out due to a leak coming thru the main floor celing from the baths below. A serviceman came out and suggested I have the drywall in the ceiling opened up. He came back and after quite a bit of work located leaks in two of the bathrooms. I have polybutylene gray piping. That was removed and replaced with copper for the bath. Shut off valves were installed for future use. Holes had to be cut in both baths as well as the hall closets since I had no access panels. The cost was considerable for me but the work done was quite extensive (took more than a full day) and time consuming so I didn't have that feeling of getting ripped off. I appreciated the serviceman's suggestions to prevent further problems. The worker was on time.

They asked me turn off the water and wait till they reached. They advised is most likely they will not be able to find, but still gave it a try. The gutter in the garage had a net, so he went in to the manhole and instructed to flush and stop water periodically. I did the same for 15 minutes and he found it. I am a big fan of them and sent them a big thank you note. They went beyond their call of duty and I will use their services in the future.

Extremely prompt in getting to the house and was able to have the water heater delivered and installed within a very few hours. A very thorough job was performed and everything is working very well.

Mr. Cochran was very impressive with his knowledge and effort to allay my worries about the deterioration of the sewer line. I would trust him implicitly to do any work in my home.

Very professional service - called ahead and arrived promptly. The plumbing team had to remove my laundry room door to remove old dryer from the house. Very quick service and cleaned everything up before leaving. I recommend their service.

Dwyer did a great job installing our new Rinai tankless water heater. They had to tap into our gas line and install 30 feet of new gas line for the Rinai. They also removed our old water heater. The installation went smoothly and the new Rinai works great.

Dwyer did a great job installing a new Trane heating furnace and AC unit (plus a humidifier) in our house. I did initial research on which furnace to get so I was telling them what I wanted them to install, but they are one of the few companies in the area that installs Trane units which is a credit to them. The Alexandria city inspector caught one error in a knob they used on one of the pipes, but it was an easily corrected problem.

2 day job was performed in a professional and straight forward manner. Front end loader was kept on the property overnight as was most of the equipment. Haven't had any problems since the work was done and was overall very pleased with the work.

A call to Dwyer is always pleasant. The women who take the calls are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We have been customers of their seasonal heating and airconditioning service for years; I am impressed with the high level of skill, evidenced by all, and the low turnover. For the estimate, the technician, Hugo, was also knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. He was quite thorough, making calls to the main office to get all the details needed to write a detailed estimate on the spot. (I love instant gratification!) The details were needed as we wanted to make sure that our new furnace would be eligible for the federal tax credit and the Virginia rebate for replacement of an old appliance with energy efficient model. We scheduled the work for my convenience, a few weeks later. I appreciated that Dwyer scheduled the same technician to do the work. Hugo and a hardworking, pleasant helper arrived on schedule for the all-day job and went right to work. The work was involved: getting the equipment down narrow stairs, cutting through masonry to vent to the outside, plus related plumbing and electrical work in a tight space. The job went a couple of hours longer than anticipated. They did beautiful work and left the work area broom clean. Everything works as it should and, once again, I am very happy with Dwyer's commitment to quality and service. For this big job, I felt that Bob McDaniel, Operations Manager, was available just a call away if his attention was needed. (It wasn't!) Great people. Great service.
