I wish I could clone Comfort Solutions for other house-related services. They were truly exceptional. Our AC died the week of July 4. During that holiday week, Comfort was able to provide us with multiple estimates and install the new units. The installers were very professional, efficient, clean, and knowledgeable. They left my house spotless. The customer service rep could not have been more friendly and patient. I highly recommend this company and glad I found it in my neighborhood listserv.

It worked out very well. The representative that came to give the estimate seemed to be much more competent and knowledgeable.

They are timely, punctual, and they are flexible if we need to reschedule. We are perfectly satisfied with them. The fee is $22 a month.

I was out of air and it was extremely hot. He came back and personally put in Freon to fill it back up until they could get to me because they were so busy. He put Freon in it twice. He was in the middle of my three bids, in the higher middle. I could have gotten it cheaper but I wanted to go with someone that I had a recommendation for.

It was one year so they just started coming out for my service. I have service 4 times a year. They are very punctual and very informative.

I have a contact with them where we pay $260 a year. They are reliable, on time and trustworthy.

I have a yearly contact with them and will continue to use their services.

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Comfort Solutions. The estimate they provided was detailed and informative. Scheduling the work was easy. The installers were great. They took obvious pride in the quality of their work, and in spite of the fact that some of them had to work in the attic on days when the outside temperatures were near 100 degrees, they were always so pleasant. The office staff was also very easy to work with and very helpful in seeing that our questions were answered promptly and all of the paperwork was taken care of.

From the initial contact with Rich Jones the President of Comfort Solutions through to sign off on completion, can only be described as exemplary. From establishing customer needs and advising on options in the first instance through to getting the right balance between capital cost and ongoing energy savings, before choices were made, was absolutely spot on. Nothing was left to chance prior to installation either, as we had two surveying visits in order to establish in great detail all that would be required on the day, for prefabricated fittings and other parts as well as a detailed electronic record of measurements and supporting photographs for the install team to refer to as necessary - communication is everything and that was very evident between their team members as well as with us, the customer, every step of the way. On the appointed day, starting at 7:30am we had three technicians working as a team removing the old equipment and installing the new, this was done with a minimum of disruption to us in a clean and tidy manner and we were left with a fully tested and functioning system, following a talk through with the controls, at 7:30pm in the evening. It has been a pleasure to deal with Comfort Solutions and in addition to the contact we have had with Rich, Candice and Bill in the office we have met with five other members of the team and without exception they are all a credit to the company and It?s abundantly clear that they take ?ownership? as well as a personal pride in their work.

I wish all contractors were this good!! Everyone is great, from Rich (the owner) to the office staff and the technicians who do the work. They are prompt, professional, neat, knowledgeable, responsive and reliable. Just great to work with. The Carrier heat pump they installed works well and has significantly lowered my electric bills, especially in the winter.

We are thrilled with our new HVAC system. We got quotes from four companies, and all the quotes were roughly in the same ballpark. We chose Comfort Solutions because of the excellent job they did in figuring out what systems would work best with our house's layout, construction, and ducts; explaining the different options to us; and answering all our questions thoroughly. The installation team arrived promptly and did a great job. The differences between our new system and old one are like night and day. We are very impressed with how much more even the house?s temperature and humidity are now - and how incredibly quiet it is, both indoors and out. We were of course trying to get as much ?life? as we could from our older system - but, efficiency and potential utility cost savings aside, I wish we had made the change several years ago simply because of the superior air quality the new system provides. We couldn't be happier with our new system or with Comfort Solutions' great service.

I called Comfort Solutions to obtain information about a humidifier for my home. Rich Jones answered the phone and took the time to discuss my individual circumstance. He calculated the size of my home and based on its size and condition recommended a steam humidifier. My previous research had already confirmed that only this type could properly humidify a 4,200 sq ft home. He provided a written proposal the same day and I was delighted to learn that he could schedule the installation for the following Friday. The technicians showed up on time and spent about 6 hours to complete the work. They did a professional job and within 3 weeks the humidity was up to the factory recommended level. I would recommend Comfort Solutions to Angie's List Members without any reservation.

I woke up on a Monday morning to find that my upper level furnace was not working. I had recently had a steam humidifier installed on my main furnace and based on that experience decided to call the same company. Candice took my call at 8:15 AM and was able to work me into her schedule for the afternoon. The technician showed up on time and within 15 minutes had the furnace working. I was delighted that it only required a cleaning of the flame sensor which he pointed out would normally be done during routine maintenance. He recommended an annual service agreement and I plan purchase one from them. I would recommend Comfort Solutions to Angie's List Members without reservation.

The entire team at Comfort Solutions was terrific! They evaluated my needs at the residence, supplied a range of equipment options, and provided guidance to help me make the correct selection. The team also used their experience and ingenuity to help relocate the new system so that I actually gained floor space! The installation was completed without issues and they left the residence nicer than they found it. I will use Comfort Solutions for all of my HVAC needs and I highly recommend them!

Comfort One is great to deal with, from the office staff to the technicians. They are always punctual, polite and professional. When problems arise, they give us detailed recommendations and estimates for work needed.

We are new to the Northern Virginia area having moved here from Pennsylvania a couple of months ago. As such, we don't know who to call when we need work done. We start our search by reviewing Angie's list reviews. Then we talk to the prospective provider to assess how comfortable we feel about their business ethics and customer service proposition. Within one day of calling, Comfort Solutions sent two technicians out to perform the work. Our original request was to get the humidifier working because they air is so dry and uncomfortable in our home. We also asked them to check our furnaces while they were here. We had just moved into this home a few months back and hadn't serviced the units previously. The technicians arrived on time. Upon entering the house, they put shoe covers on before proceeding further. Both were very professional, friendly and explained everything they did to make sure the systems perform properly. They also provided an overview of our system's current state of performance. Recognizing our systems are nearing the end of their useful life, I had also requested they send someone to work on developing a proposal to replace the equipment. He was equally as professional and thorough. He gathered all the information he needed and committed to providing a proposal in a few days. One thing I really appreciated was the technicians didn't walk in the door and start trying to sell me new equipment. That's unlike an experience I had the day before with another local HVAC company. That company's technician instantly started trashing my system saying it needed immediate replacement. He also said the humidifier couldn't be fixed without a sizeable expenditure on our part. I immediately lost all confidence in that company and sent the technician packing. I appreciate dealing with reputable service organizations. After the technicians departed, I called Rich, the owner of Comfort Solutions, and thanked him for sending out very professional technicians who are not only quality mechanics but, also top notch in terms of customer service and integrity. As far as we're concerned, Comfort Solutions is our HVAC company going forward. There is no need to look any further for a quality provider. When we decide to replace our systems, they will be the one's who do the work.

He looked through much as he could and he didn’t find anything on the flue. The owner also didn’t try to push any sales on me. I called them and they came the same day that I called them. The gentleman said that he would try to get that part that day. He got the art the next day, came over, and fixed my furnace. I had waited for 2 weeks for another company to do this service. They were polite and professional. I also made an appointment with them to check the furnace for winterization and got that done before the season and I was happy with that. I had a really good experience with them. He was very patient. He took a long time and really went to that thing, trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. And once he did, it was fine. He was a certified technician for HVAC. He is well-trained can troubleshoot other things where other people were not high qualified to do. I think he’s a little bit experienced for this type of jobs. The owner and the technician knew what they were doing. They were very efficient. They came in and did what they needed to do. They just kinda advised me on whatever they saw but they weren’t trying to sell me stuff. I called a lot of companies to try to get to service the furnace and they were saying it was gonna take 2 weeks and that they were backed up. When I called them, they can come in a week and that was okay with me. I thought the price was reasonable. I thought the service call was a little bit much. I don’t know how much that type of thing cost.

The technician arrived early on the day of the appointment. There had been some small miscommunication, and he did not know we wanted the version of the inspection that qualified for the Dominion Power rebate, but he had the appropriate form in the truck so things were easily changed. The technician wore booties inside to avoid getting dirt on our floors. The heat pump inspection went smoothly for most items. The technician was not familiar with Nest thermostats, and so was not able to test whether the auxiliary heating function worked (without charging us extra for "troubleshooting," which he offered but did not push). This test was not required to complete the Dominion Power checklist, so it wasn't a big deal -- I was able to verify the aux. heating worked on my own later. The technician also offered some bonus advice about a whole house humidifier the previous owners had partially (and it turns out incorrectly) installed. Overall, we were satisfied with the experience.

I LOVE this company. I should have written a review years ago. Now that I've moved out of the area, I feel they deserve this for all of the excellent service they have provided over the years. CS had both of the annual service contracts on my residence and a rental condo. I sold my house, but decided to keep the rental condo because I have a slate of providers like CS who will be there for me even though I'm 400 miles away! Here's why I like these guys so much: 1. The communication is excellent. Other providers are sometimes confused that I'm the condo owner but it's the tenant on site who may be meeting them, or they may have to pick up a key at the front office, etc. Also, they get that people work and it's hard to get away. They'll call ahead so I can meet them and minimize my time away from work. 2. They are organized keep good records. Any information I provide goes into my file and they remember it from visit to visit. For example, for some odd reason the pilot light in my hot water heater would go out during the annual maintenance calls. We don't know why, probably a draft or air vacuum? Anyway, the first time it happened they came back and lit the pilot for me and showed me how to do it in the future. AND, every time they service the HVAC after that, the technician is prompted by some note in our file to check and make sure the flame is lit before they leave. (One guys forgot and about 15 minutes later there was a knock at my door...) 3. I canceled with my last HVAC guy because he said he called to schedule my service and I never called back. So I missed my fall check up that year. CS understands the multiple demands on our attention and understand that something like a service call may be forgotten. So they HELP you by calling, emailing, following up if they don't hear back. With CS, I've never missed and appointment for my condo or home. 4. We also had CS install new HVACs in both our residence and my condo. The condo was first and that's how I came across the company. Rich came out to give me a quote. He was one of three companies I contacted. He was the only one to offer a simple, low cost solution to a potentially-complicated installation challenge. After that I was his loyal customer and referred business to him when ever possible. Also, they submitted all of the rebate information on the equipment as well as the warranty info...nice!! 5. Their employees are not short timers. So it was always Bill that I talked to on the phone (Though I think they finally got the poor guy some help recently so you may talk to Katie.) And you see the same faces on a service calls. CS has the customer service approach of a small town, old-timey service company....they put customers first!

Highly professional. I was an emergency medical case they worked into their already full schedule on a 100+ degree day. The technician was early and took his time doing a very thorough job, in spite of it being a busy day for him. The price was higher than I expected, higher than the people who had come the day before. But, they didn't fix it and he did, so I guess it's all good!! Everyone on their end worked together to get this appointment set up and they were very friendly, professional, and proactive throughout.

Comfort solutions went way above and beyong to help me with this work. I purchased my home last summer and the AC unit is less than three years old. When the unit went out I found the extended warranty and called the warranty company for assistance. They gave me Comfort Solutions to work with. I also had called the company that installed the AC unit and they were not helpful, they didn't want to honor the warranty and said they had no record of it (First Choice in Fredericksburg I believe). Comfort Solutions came out and repaired the unit the same day. Even going above and beyond to go pick up the part at the AC dealership. After they worked on my AC unit, the office staff at Comfort Solutions went way above and beyond and worked directly with the warranty company for several days to change my warranty over to them so they can do future work as necessary. I would recommend Comfort Solutions to anyone who asked my opinion. If you are using someone else, it is worth the switch.
