Description of Work: Removed a large Maple tree in the corner of my yard that had a fence on two sides very close to the tree. Took down the tree with no damage to the fence and did an excellent job of cleaning up. Highly recommend Big Steve's.

Description of Work: I have a 10 year old tree in my small backyard. Bob's tree service came out and evaluated the service I would need to keep the tree strong and healthy as well allow more sun light for my lawn and garden. The estimate was well within reason and the service was above par. There were no branches or trimming left behind. They were hindered by the bulbs blooming at the bace of the tree but they were not harmed in any way.. I will gladly use their tree services again when the meed arises.

Description of Work: When I called to get an estimate the owner, Steve, returned my message within that day. He asked me several questions and asked if he could check his schedule and his employees and call me back. Within the hour he retuned my call and we agreed on a service date. I had three large trees and a tree that needed triming. Also stump removal and route removal. All of the trees where cut down and completely removed on day one. The next day all of the stump and route removal and any clean up was complete. I believe the pricing for that heavy, dangerous and time consuming work was very fair. I already have plans to use his service in the spring to care for another tree. I have recomended Big Steve's to several people.

Description of Work: It was easy to make an appointment and he was on time for the estimate. The price was reasonable and I was looking forward to having the work done on the neighbor's tree. The neighbor's landlord had told us to go ahead and take care of it and they would reimburse us, but the week before the work was scheduled to be performed the landlord decided to do it himself and not have to pay a qualified tree service. Wish we'd had Big Steve's do the work before the neighbor's landlord intervened.

Description of Work: We ordered a face cord of seasoned oak. The wood was really well cut and nicely seasoned for immediate use. He was curteous and got their quickly. Will definitely go back to him next year.

Description of Work: I called and ordered a face cord of firewood. They delivered the wood in the early morning of the promised delivery date. The quantity of wood seemed pretty fair. The quality of the wood also looked pretty good. I thought their price for hauling the wood around to the back of the house and stacking it was extremely high, so I did it myself.

Description of Work: Big Steve and his crew did an outstanding job trimming and removing several trees around my house. His estimate was about the same as the ot hers I'd received. The crew was on time, worked well together, discussed in detail how to remove overhanging limbs and cleaned up afterwards. Best tree service I've ever had.

Description of Work: Lots of leaves from fallen tress that had dried out and were all over our driveway. We had the tops of two trees covering our driveway and beside our house. all was gone and cleaned up. You would never know there was so much mess. He did this while we were on vacation.

Description of Work: Big Steve's did 2 projects for me. The tree removal service was suberb. Highly recommend them. Contacting company for estimate was fast and easy. Responsive by email/phone almost immediately. Estimate provided next day. After receiving higher estimate from another well ranked company on angie's list, selected Big Steve. Work was promptly scheduled and crew showed up on time as promised. Tree removal went smoothly; workers were supervised. Also elected stump removal. Whole project took several hours and clean up was adequate. Second project was thinning some very large phototenias (over 15 feet tall.) I was assured that crew had a specialist who knew how to do this well. Unfortunately the very first cut was too severe, leaving a large bare spot in a key area. As soon as I saw the problem, I immediately consulted with trimmer, and subsequent cuts were done more surgically to the inner parts of the tree. i do wish the first cut had been more thoughtful, but with plants, there is no second chance. All that being said, I enjoyed my project with Big Steve. I would definitely use them again for tree removal and highly recommend them to others. The tree removal work was high quality and very well priced (by hundreds of dollars compared to other estimates). Steve was available when needed for estimate and scheduling work; and crew was able and timely. Positive experience overall.

Description of Work: We did not engage Big Steve's...the tree trimming we required was pretty simple stuff so we went with an ultra-low cost provider. But I want to give Big Steve's a strong review...they were our next choice and would have been our choice if the work required more expertise. If felt as if we got straight talk and a prompt reply to our request for an estimate.

Description of Work: I had about 5 trees trimmed and Big Steve's Tree Care did a great job. They were timely for the estimate and work. Cleaned up the yard and walkway better that it was before the work. I would not hesitate to use them again.
