ASHLEY'S SEPTIC SVC

Ashley's did an outstanding job in repairing my septic issue. On Sunday afternoon all of a sudden my system stopped working. I called them and described the problem. In order to save money I asked them if they could come the next day and they said yes. Sure enough the next day Orion, one of the septic specialists, arrived, analyzed the problem and fixed it in a jiffy. It turned out to be a blocked sewer line which he easily fixed but when the toilets won't flush it is a crisis no matter how big or small the issue. Ashley's pumps my system and I don't let anyone else touch it. They are top flite in my book.

My sewer pipe outlet into the septic tank was completely stopped up and I could not use any water in the house. (It all flowed out into the basement). They were here within an our after I explained my emergency. It was a difficult job but they did it. I was very grateful for the prompt service. And their price was quite reasonable. Strangely, they were not listed on Angie's list under Septic service.

Made an appointment for them to come clean our septic tank. They arrived, and could not find it. They said they would go to the county and figure out where it was and reschedule. About a week later I got a call saying they figured out where it was and would be by the following week on a date certain (6/14). When that date arrived, my husband called to ask if they could give us a time frame for arrival and was told "Oh we aren't coming. We don't have time to mess with finding your tank. I was just about to put your paperwork in the mail to you." No phone call, no outreach telling us they weren't coming. If we had not called, we would never have known. I immediately called back, since I was the person who had dealt with them initially, and the call went to voice mail. I did receive a call back from Cindy. She was not pleasant. She first took the position that they have had several emergencies and are so backed up they can't get to us. She stated that people have septic backing up into their house -- in other words, quit your whining! I stated that emergencies are understandable but I would have appreciated the professionalism of a call back. I stated that I had an appointment, made by them, with a date certain and I'm sitting here waiting for them to arrive and if they had made the decision not to come, I should have received notice of that. She did state that she should have called. (She stated this more than once.) She then went on to state that "You don't even know where your tank is" and "It could take him two hours just to find it" and "I've got one guy, one driver, and we are a small company and can't take that kind of time." The distinct message was (1) it's my fault, not theirs since I don't know where the tank is; (2) they have bigger and more important things to do and (3) I am a problem client. Very, very, very disappointed at the utter lack of professionalism. She kept throwing out there that they have more emergent jobs going on right now but I made the point to her that the decision not to service us clearly was not made this morning in the midst of emergencies. It appears to have been made a week or so ago when she went to the county and got our survey and still could not figure out where the tank was, so it is disingenuous to suggest that this was a sudden decision made in the face of emergencies. It also belies the fact that after she got the survey, I got a call from the company saying they found the survey, know where the tank is, and thus set up today's appointment. Something doesn't quite add up there.

I am very pleased with this company. Shane has years of experience and is very knowledgeable. He was pleasant and professional. I felt that I could really trust that he knew what he was doing and he taught me a lot as he examined our system. I called this company for an emergency -- I was desperate and they are in my area; I knew nothing further about them (with sewage in the basement, we just needed someone who would answer the phone and come FAST). However, I will definitely be transitioning all of my septic system maintenance work to this company because I am so impressed. This is a field where I had not been favorably impressed with other companies. I felt compelled to write a review.
