They did a very good job and the lady I spoke to in their office was very friendly. They did not try to upsell me on anything and I would use them again.

Very well. Service was quick and neat, everything I needed. Even though my courtyard is too small to grind the stump, they cut it down below surface level so I was able to install my patio over it.

My first problem with them was a delay in getting the job done. I would have liked to been home when they were here. They made a complete mess of the yard. I came home from work to find three deer eating the azalea bush next to the tree. The bush had been covered with deer netting but the worker removed it and did not replace it so the deer just came right in. This was within two weeks or so of the bush blooming, which, of course, it didn't do since it had been eaten. They left branches, twigs and lots of sawdust all over my yard and my neighbor's front yard. I was having arm surgery the next day but there I was, trying to clean up as much as I could with one bum arm. The side yard between me and my neighbor was an absolute mud pit. But the worst part was that they ruined a 20-year hybrid dogwood tree in the process of taking down the birch tree. I could see where they had sawed off several branches of the dogwood, probably because they allowed branches of the birch tree to fall on it and they hadn't protected it. The tree is simply lost. Half of it is just gone. When I called to complain about this, I was assured by Christine that they would come out and inspect the damage and replace what they had ruined. Instead, all I got was a voice mail from someone who had merely checked with his crew, took their word for whatever excuses they came up with and never bothered to come out and check the damage or anything. Yes, they took the tree down but I would NEVER use this company again. I waited a long time to write this, despite much prompting from Angie's List, because it is not my intent to ruin anyone, which I doubt this review would do, but I'm still not over how poorly I was treated by this company.

I experienced medical issues and was not available to schedule the work for months. When I recovered enough to schedule the work, they completed the job as soon as possible. They worked with my wife on the day of the job and were very courteous.

This was an Angie's list big deal for $299.00 getting $400.00 worth of tress service. After 20 emails back and forth trying to get them to commit to a date I finally gave up and asked for my money back. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in the 15 years I have been a home owner.

It was fine. They did everything that I wanted them to do. The price was excellent. The person that came out was great and they showed up when they said they were going to. They got the job done in about 90 minutes. They sent 2 people out to do the job and they cleaned everything up when theyleft including the debris from the trimming.

I have repeatedly asked the the company for an estimate so we can proceed with the work. Initially they kept saying they are working on finding a time. After almost 2 months the communication stopped altogether. No answer to my emails what so ever. Therefore i am going ahead with the refund.

In general, they were good. Unfortunately, they didn't cut the tree the way I wanted it cut. They said to me, "We are losing out on this deal," and I thought that was bizarre. They were professional, however, and cleaned up after themselves.

I bought a Big Deal and despite multiple emails and calls, was never able to get contact back from the company to schedule a service. We are working on getting a refund from Angie's List. Disappointing - seems the company overstretched itself.

We were very happy with the work that was performed. The office staff was very good with communication as we went back and forth a few times to make sure we had a clear understanding of what was going to happen. This was our first time having trees removed. The 2 Poplars and 1 Maple tree were very large trees that were leaning over the house. On the day of service, the crew was here on time. They worked non stop until all 3 trees were removed and the stumps grinded out. We were told that our lawn (sparse to begin with b/c of all the trees) might be torn up during the process. I was surprised to find 12 inch deep depressions from the falling pieces of the tree trunk in several places in the backyard. This might be normal, I just wasn't anticipating having ankle turning holes to fill afterwards. This may be just lack of experience on my part. We would definitely use the company gain in the future. We have several more trees that need some attention. I liked that the office staff was quick to respond and good with communications.

They came and cut down the pine tree as agreed. They were prompt with the estimate and the service.....

We wrote emails, we called, they kept promising to do the service. We have yet to see them. They said that they were overwhelmed by the response to their ad on angle's list. They certainly won't have to worry about me in the future.

The project went well- no complaints. They did a fine job, and were reasonably inexpensive. Email contact was the most useful with them, and they came out within a couple of weeks, due to their workload and abnormal spring snow.

Classic Bait & Switch tactics of non reputable service providers. They wouldn't honor the $199 promotional fee I had via Angie's list UNLESS I paid another $300! It really made Angie's List look bad, too.

They were excellent. They were really, really good. I asked them to trim the tree and that’s all I wanted done. They wanted to take the tree out. They did a really nice job on it. The price was a special offer through Angie’s List. The price was excellent and their professionalism was also excellent. I would use them again. The quality was excellent. There was an arborist who was working with them. So it wasn’t just people coming out and hacking into trees. There was an arborist who really knew what he was doing. They were right on time.

The Service to be provided was based on a coupon offered by Angie's List for this company. For the record, I had asked that the estimator of this company contact me directly and talk to me in-person, at my house, so I could be assured whatever estimate was given to me was correct and there would be no surprises. This did not happen as the estimator came out and did the estimate without contacting me (all it would take was a knock on the door) and therefore, I had no assurances the estimate was correct and the chance of a bigger cost to have the work done was very real. When I tried to get the company to come back out and talk to me in-person, they refused so I asked for my money back and am going with another Service.

Very well, they arrived as promised, discovered the tree was bigger than thought, worked all day, cleaned up very well. In short, a good job.

Price was high, I suspect the wanted to recoup their loss on the big deal. The estimate was $800, and I know it was high because another company already did the same work for $300. The also added in the removal of 3 trees, that I did not ask to have removed. I was very clear on what I wanted done. They kept moving the estimation date and I wanted them to call in advance when they could come. They showed up unannounced. I don't like this because I have a babysitter at home and like to give her a heads-up before strangers are walking around the year. I tried to reach the estimator directly because there could have been confusion on pricing. The "administrator" would not allow me to talk to the estimator directly. She was defensive and uncooperative. When I insisted I needed to reach the estimator, I said that I'd share these problems on Angies List, the administrator hung up on me.

John Thomson and his team did an outstanding job. On a scale of 1-10 they rank 11. Very pleased with their professionalism and thoroughness. Every fallen twig was removed. We plan to call them in the spring to top off and trim the tree.

They had by far the lowerst quote. 2-3 times cheaper than other arborists in the area Very professional completed the task in an appropriate amount of it. Would highly recommend

The company was very responsive to my request for an estimate and prompt in their scheduling after may call-back. Their estimate was the lowest I received. I had to be out of town the day they were scheduled to do the work, came home and found it done with the area left clean and neat. Great job!

It was a painless experience which is a lot to say when you are getting giant trees removed/ trimmed.

The crew showed up this morning and got down to business right away. Each member knew what to do and they were done in about 45 minutes. The place was thoroughly cleaned up and the whole operation was well executed and done in a professional manner. Highly recommended. Price quoted was reasonable and appropriate. Great company for tree removal services.

Things went very well. They were by far the best quote from the four companies we had out to look at the job. They were also very easy to work with and professional - not like some of the "fly-by-night" operations going door-to-door soliciting jobs. The workers came out and got the job done. They cleaned everything up very well, hauling out the wood we didn't want to keep and stacking the wood we wanted to burn in the winter. All in all a very positive experience.
