We made an appointment, they show up on time, told us what we thought was going to happen, and got the job done. Everything went well overall!

This is the second time I have used Able Plumbing and I have been very satisfied each time. They are easy to schedule with, have Saturday hours and keep you updated on the time they will arrive. The plumber explained everything very clearly to me and completed the job quickly. I will use them again for my plumbing needs.

We used Able Plumbing for the first time and couldn't have been more pleased. Not only was the person who answered the phone to schedule the visit extremely pleasant, the repairman was able to come out that day, was very knowledgeable, efficient with his time, and cleaned up after the job was complete. We were also very happy with the price - it was reasonable and there wasn't a huge charge for a an emergency/weekend visit as I have seen with other companies. Overall, Able Plumbing will be my first call next time I have a plumbing issue/need.

I can't say enough good things about Rob of Able Plumbing. Absolutely professional and incredibly knowledgeable. There was no hint of any pricing games; everything was straight forward and honest. Rob was responsive to the initial request and quickly returned all calls and answered all questions. It was less than a week between initial contact and the installation, and that was because of my limited availability. Rob instructed me on the how's and why's of what he was doing, showing that he really cares about the profession. The installation was a little complicated due to the location of the heater, but Rob easily adapted and made it happen. We're now at a month since the installation and all still works fine. I will now go to Rob for all of my plumbing needs.

I heard water spraying from behind our door covering the main water line. When I opened the door, water was spraying from the capped end of the pressure regulating valve. I took the cap off and noticed corrosion had caused the valve to leak. I called Able Plumbing and was completely impressed right off the bat with the dispatcher. It was obvious she knew more about plumbing than I did, and she provided me with the approximate cost and also the approximate time the technician would arrive (approx 1 hour). She asked if I was a repeat customer, and I said no, I located Able Plumbing on Angie's List. She immediately told me to make sure to print the coupon for first time customers - I thought that was really courteous. She called back (as she told me she would) to let me know the technician should arrive in 20 minutes; which he did. Nelson made sure the dispatcher gave me a quote and told me he was going to replace the valve. Nelson replaced the valve, cleaned up the area, and was extremely professional. The final cost was $40 less than what I was quoted over the phone (not including the Angie's List coupon). I am incredibly impressed since the dispatcher obviously can't see what is wrong and I certainly wasn't helping the situation using laymen's terms. If you need a plumber, call Able; you won't be disappointed.

During work on a home addition the workmen uncovered a drain pipe from the upstairs bathrooms that had been punctured by a dozen two inch nails during the installation of new siding ten years before. Miraculously the pipe had never clogged or backed up or even leaked, since it was in the outside wall of the house and would have created a significate mess. I needed a quick repair and called Able Plumbing. Even though they were busy they managed to squeeze me in the following day. Rob arrived on time and immediately began work on the drain pipe. He cut away a seven foot section of pipe full of nails and repaced it with new pipe - securing it in place. This took about an hour including time to run out and purchase the correct size PVC pipe. He did a good job and showed me exactly what he had done to repair the damaged drain pipe. After completing this task I asked him to examine two outdoor faucets that needed new washers since they leaked constantly. This took Rob about ten minutes to repair, and then he adjusted a bathroom faucet that was crooked. In every task he work quickly and efficiently. Rob was helpful and had a pleasant personality.

Technician named Rob came out to our house on time. Was extremely courteous (especially considering I had two little ones sleeping at the time) and polite. I told him what needed to be done, he quoted me prices that were the same as what i was quoted over the phone. He went to work and snaked some pretty clogged showers (including one that hadn't been cleared in probably 10+ years). He also gave me advice on whether I should spend $140 more dollars for snaking the sinks and in fact he determined one actually didn't need to be after all which was totally impressive that he didn't try to charge me nonetheless for fixing the problem. He cleaned everything up, and there was quite a mess in one of the showers, wrote up my bill explaining all charges and even honored my Angie's List coupon even though I didn't have it in hand. I was shocked by how pleasant the experience was. Rob answered all my annoying questions and even quoted me on some work I will need done in the future. In general, plumbers suck - they rip you off time and time again. Rob and Able Plumbers didn't, and as a result they will have my business from here on out. I don't have the time to write reviews, but the quality here was so good, I felt compelled to in this case. Choose Able, you will be thrilled you did. And ask for Rob.

I sent Able Plumbing an e-mail from Able Plumbing's report page on Angie's List and provided a phone number since I was not going to be in front of my e-mail that afternoon. I had a response within 30 minutes but it was via e-mail vice phone, as requested. Still, I'd rather they reply by the wrong venue than not reply at all. Nonetheless, it was a very quick response time! In my e-mail, I explained the problems I had. In their reply e-mail they told me what the main problem likely was and how much it would cost and told me that it was $78 per half hour for however long the front water hose issue took. I thought that was a little weird to give an estimate without first diagnosing the problem, but if the customer describes the issue correctly and they diagnose the fix correctly, the unseen cost estimate gives the customer a general idea of what kind of bill they are looking at.... and that's a good thing. It reflects nicely on the company when they have such knowledgeable CSRs working their phone and e-mail lines. After a couple of e-mails back and forth, and reading Angie's List reviews, I decided I wanted to hire them. I'm not a plumber by any means (though I did learn how to replace the kitchen faucet via You Tube and did it myself several months ago). I knew if this was the PRV, as their CSR suspected, it would involve pipe work and soldering and I wasn't going there. Setting up the appointment was easy. The CSR called me and managed to fit me in on my telework day. Awesome! She couldn't give me an exact time. She said it would be sometime late morning. When I asked for a more specific time, she said she really didn't know yet but that they would call the next morning (day of appt) to give me a window. She did say they would definitely be here before 11:00 a.m. At 10:45 today, I called the CSR because I had not received a phone call or e-mail from anyone. She said Rob was on his way and should be there within 15 minutes or so. Rob rang my doorbell at 1100. Rob was friendly and professional and easy to talk to and understand. He asked that I replicate the noise I was hearing and once he heard it he confirmed it was the PRV that needed replaced. We also looked at the outside front faucet and he told me it was a quick 5-10 minute fix and he would take care of it after he he finished the PRV. He then asked that I open up all the faucets and he went to his truck and got the gear he needed. He asked for a couple of towels to catch any water that may come from the pipe when he takes off the pipe/PRV. Once he had the old PRV off, he called me so he could show me the inside and the two big rocks inside it. While I was down there, I asked him a non-plumbing related question about the air-flow control valves and he answered them for me without hestitation or seeming annoyed... very nice! Once he finished installing the new PRV, he asked that I close all my open faucets. He then asked me to go up to the master bath, turn on the shower and check the pressure to see if it was to my liking. I told him it was okay... could maybe be a little stronger. He made the pressure a little stronger and asked that I check again. Perfect! He then cleaned up his work area, got the air out the line in the 1st floor half-bath, and gave me my towels to wash. After that, he went outside and re-built the front hose bib backflow preventer... that took about 7 minutes... start to finish. He called me outside so we could test turning the water on an off and make sure it didn't sputter anymore. He also explained how to winterize the outside faucet when it gets colder. He then went outside and wrote up my receipt then came back inside to explain the receipt and warranties. He was here one hour. Pros: - Outgoing and friendly personality - Knowledgeable - Helpful - Takes the time to explain things, including upkeep and preventative maintenance - Skillful - CSRs (customer service reps) are also knowledgeable and friendly! Cons: - No definitive window given for arrival time - No phone call prior to arrival (I had to call them) - Price of PRV replacement seems excessive. The PRV itself (Wilkins Model 70, 3.4") can be found on the web for an average of $60. On my receipt, that part is shown as $363. That would be six times the cost of the part, so labor must be included. So, minus the $60, that leaves about $300. Divide that $300 by $78 per 1/2 hour and you get about 4 half hours or two hours. It didn't take even an hour... it was about 45 minutes, maybe 50, for the PRV repair. They must charge by the job, despite the actual time it takes or the cost of the parts needed. The front hose bib re-build took less than 10 minutes so I was charged a quarter hour labor for that fix ($39). Overall: The communication IRT to show time could be better and the price should reflect actual time and cost of parts. However, I really liked Rob. He is friendly, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. And as stated above, the CSRs are friendly too.

With the continuous rain the past few days and the threat of more and heavier rainfall, I had noticed that my current sump pump had not been running. I contacted Able Plumbing after reading reviews on Angie's List. I thought I would have to wait for an appointment, but Phillis told me she could have someone out this same afternoon. I inquired if I could find out if my current sump pump was working adequately. I was told yes. Nelson showed up at my door a few hours later. He was very professional and neat. My sump pump actually went on while he was in the basement. He told me it seemed to be working. I decided to go ahead and replace the sump pump anyway, since mine was installed in 1988! Approximately 1 1/2 hours later, Nelson had cleaned out all of the silt and 2 bricks he found in the current sump pump location and installed the new sump pump. He carefully cleaned up after his work and was very careful to put on and take off his shoe coverings when going outside. It was worth my piece of mind to replace the sump pump. I would use Able Plumbing again.

Able Plumbing did a great job! They scheduled me for a timeframe of 12-4PM, and they actually called me at 10:00 AM and said they were on their way. When I explained that I needed them to arrive during the already pre-arranged time of 12-4, they accomodated me. They called me approximately 15-30 minutes before they arrived, their employee showed up on time and was very professional. He quickly figured out the problem, fixed it and was even willing to look at my toilet when I asked him a question about an issue I was having. I think he was in and out of my place within 30 minutes. And it only cost me $82 after the $20 Angie's List coupon. I was very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them to others.

After the pipes in our home rattled like an angry pile-driver, it was clear that we needed a new pressure regulator. Rob from Able came, saw, and conquered, and his price was $200 less than a similar repair performed by another firm earlier this year.

I scheduled an appointment to have someone look at a leaky faucet in my bathroom. The appointment window was 9-12 in the morning. The technician (Rob) called me at 8:30 to let me know he was approximately 45 minutes away. He arrived right on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He didn't have the necessary parts on his truck, but was able to quickly get the parts from a nearby supplier and completed the job within two hours of his initial arrival at my house. Rob was very professional and courteous, and cleaned everything up when he was finished. I was extremely happy with the quality of work and felt the price was pretty reasonable. I will definitely call Able Plumbing again if I have any future plumbing needs.

Once he arrived, he got to work right away after I showed him what all needs to be done. He was courteous, professional and answered all my questions in a knowledgeable manner. Overall, a pleasant experience and would hire them again for future plumbing needs.

Very reasonable price. Superior service. Performed service at the date/time requested. Noticed minor leak in one toilet after plumber departed. Requested plumber return to repair. Did so and discovered he had cracked the container and then he replaced toilet without hesitation or additional cost. Clean, honest, superior service. Best plumber I have ever worked with. After our master shower faucet ceased to control the temperature we tried several of the "better known" plumbing companies in the area (think of the ones you see in the commercials). Each company quoted us a price of nearly $1000. We found Able on Angie's list and were able to schedule an initial appointment quickly. Unlike many other companies, there was NO FEE fortheinitial visit. The technician, Danilo, was scheduled to arrive between 9 and 12, and arrived at about 10:45am. After a quick inspection of the shower, he described the process to fix or replace the broken parts, and provided a quote for each. We chose to replace the shower system with new one from Moen. We were quoted $580. Upon returning to his truck, Danilo informed us that the actual quote should have been $613, but he would honor the original quote. This price was nearly 40% less than competitors quotes. We scheduled the service for two days later, on a Sunday no less! Danilo returned (once again on time between 9 and 12). He proceeded to remove the old system and install the new one. He was quick, professional and personable, explaining what he was doing and why. The entire install took about 2 hours. All-in-all I was very satisfied with the work performed and would definitely use Able again.

I would never use another plumber. This was the best experience I have ever had with a company fixing or replacing something in my home. The person who answers the phone walks you through what could be wrong with your plumbing. She knows everything. Then when the plumber came, he walked me through and fixed my disposal in 5 minutes. He did not say I needed a new disposal or new faucet for my sink. He even sold me the tool to unlock my disposal the next time it cuts out on me. It cost me total $89.00. Can you believe that? Please use Able. You will not be disappointed.

Great! The plumber showed up on-time, got right to work, fixed everything right the first time, and cleaned up any mess that was made. This was a wonderful experience, and I'll be sure to call this company again, and recommend them to friends and family,

A+. He did a professional job, cleaned up after himself, gave us a few tips about things to keep an eye on, and answered all of my questions as I wanted to learn how to do this myself in the future. Only place I would take off a point is that he arrived slightly after the end of our time window (this is knit-picky, I know). The office assistant called about 30 minutes ahead and let me know he when he would arrive. Altogether, I will certainly use Able Plumbing again for any future issues.
