After seeing a very positive track record of customer satisfaction on Angie's List, we called Able Plumbing on Christmas Eve. Phyllis answered the phone, was very friendly and courteous, and indicated to our great relief that they would be able to send a plumber to our home the day after Christmas to service two issues we had: one with our dishwasher drain line, and one with our master bathroom toilet. Today (12/26), Rob arrived punctually, was pleasant and professional, and quickly and thoroughly corrected both of our plumbing problems. The price was very reasonable, and he discounted the price a further $20 for being Angie's List members. We will definitely give Able Plumbers a call the next time we need a plumbing service, and we would recommend them without reservation.

Rude and didn't seem to want new business which I found strange.

The plumber arrived on time and replaced the old garbage disposal with the new one. He had only been working for the company for about a year but he was very smart. After installing it he gave me some pointers on what to put down the disposal of which I wasn't aware.

My technician Rob arrived timely and was very courteous and professional. He replaced the valve with no issues. He determined where the leak was coming from in the toilet. Some of the tank fixtures had to be replaced. He gave me the option of replaceing all the pieces, or just the crucial ones. He provided price estimates for both options. When he was finsihed he cleaned up all the water and mess perfectly. Would definitely hire them again

Discovered the heater was leaking in the late morning, called Able Plumbing and their worker was on site the same day at about 4:30 PM. The company delivered and installed the new water heater, and removed the old water heater. The worker knew what he was doing and (3 days later) everything is working fine with no leaks. I only have two minor concerns; cost and warranty. Cost - The bill for the work was a little over $1,000. A comparable water heater (GE, 50 gal, electrical, 6 yr warranty) can be bought from Home Depot for $314. Past experience shows about a $50 charge for removal of the old heater to the dump. This means I paid about $700 for delivery and installation which seems a little steep, but it was same day service and by time the worker was finished it was past normal work hours. Also, I was charged the price I was quoted over the phone so I can't complain about it, but I will shop around a little more next time I need a new water heater. Warranty - I'm not sure how this process works but there was no attempt by the company to determine if my existing water heater was still under warranty so make sure you know when your heater was installed and when the warrany expires so you can notify whomever that you shouldn't be responsible for purchasing a new water heater if the warranty is still active. In this case I knew my warranty had already expired. I would use this company again.

I called Able Plumbing for an over-the-phone estimate for a new gas water heater installation. The person over the phone gave me an estimate and I called them back a few weeks later after I had gotten more estimates from other companies. I chose them because their prices were reasonable, they used top-of-the-line water heaters and they gave me a discount (either Angie's List or military, I can't remember). I was able to schedule an installation soon after my phone call. Service person came in a timely manner, removed old water heater and installed new one. He completed the work in a timely manner and gave us easy to understand instructions on care. I was satisfied with the overall experience.

Overall, this was a good experience from start to finish. The scheduler at Able Plumbing was friendly and professional. She did her best to fit us into the schedule ASAP and at our convenience. The plumber that came out to our home, Rob, was on time. He was knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate, and fixed the issue the same day. He cleaned up the area when the job was complete. When we had an issue with the pipe vibrating again a few days later, we were given an appt. within 24 hours of our call and Rob came back and fixed the issue under warranty. We would definitely use Able Plumbing again.

Able Plumbing arrived on time and walked through the issues we were having and explained the situation to us so that we could make a decision on what could be repaired on the visit. I would describe this work as typical maintenance that needs to be done on an older home.

I had water that was bubbling up out of the floor. I have to say I was a little bewildered at first. The plumber started by asking me where it was coming from. I said "That's why I called you!" He took a long time listening for the water, and cut up my wall in many places. The reason I rated it an A is that I was wrong and he was right. I insisted the water must be coming from the floor. he said it was unlikely as it was copper pipe encased in concrete. He correctly surmised it was coming from a leak in a pipe in the wall, which then ran down and out the baseboards. It was a slow start but a good finish. I think it was expensive, but compared to most plumbers, it was not out of line. I just wish that I could make $200 an hour!

After 45+ years, the stem valve in the shower no longer stayed screwed in place. It was a projectile waiting to happen. Able Plumbing was flexible when it came to scheduling a date/time that worked for us. Rob evaluated the hot water stem valve in one of the showers. He noted that it was an original piece (1960's). He gave the option of finding a replacement stem valve or installing a new, modern version. He went over all the pros/cons and price of each option. When we decided to have a new system put in he contacted the office, found that the parts were available, went to get them and completed the project that day. He said it would take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and he was right on the mark. We were 100% satisfied with the work and appreciated the time Rob took to explain all components of the job to us. Thanks!

The price was about half of another quote we received. They arrived on time and completed the work very quickly. The drain no longer leaks so no complaints about the work. My only complaint is that they were not very good about calling me back and notifying me of when our job was scheduled. I had to call them a couple times about that.

Danito and Gorge showed up in the time block arranged by the scheduling coordinator. They were both very nice and courteous and explained everything to me very well. They did their work efficiently and when they were ready to write up the bill, Danito even included the discount for Angie's list members even though I had forgotten to print it out prior to their arrival. The scheduling coordinator was also a very sweet lady who was very pleasant to talk to when making the appointment.

Called at 1 PM and was promised service that day! Promise meet and sewer service restred! High marks to Phillis in the office and Danilo the teck that made it all happen!

I called about a leak in my bathroom that had been there for a few weeks and was not an emergency. The lady on the phone was wonderful and set up a service call for that afternoon. The guy arrived on time, we discussed my needs, and he went right to work. The repair was done very efficiently and I am very happy with their work and the price.

Outstanding service. Excellent communication regarding status of arrival time. Lavatory faucet was a challenge due to limited space for fixture but was completed without problems. Cleaned both repair areas very nicely and took replaced pieces (trash) with them. Very highly recommended!

We have an old duplex (built in 1940 aprrox.) and we've lived in the house for around 9 years. Ever since we moved in, the washing machine/dishwasher & kitchen sink are all connected to the same line. Everytime I did laundry & the washing machine drains out the water- it backs up into the kitchen sink. Depending on the size of the load it can fill up to almost overflow on the sink. It then does drain out- but that is just not what you want in your sink. Throughout the years we've had other plumbing companies from Angie's list come in - and in all cases -they snaked out the kitchen sink- which allows less water to come back into the kitchen drain- but it still would back up into the sink(just about half full) . We were told by all of them that was the best they could do for us. So we learned to live with having water back up into the sink everytime I did the laundry. For the past two months- the problem got worse as my kitchen sink was slow in draining, the dirty water from the sink would now back up into the dishwasher or when I used the washing machine it backed up into the sink & then the remaining dirty water got stuck in the dishwasher. Not a good thing to have. I'd seen Able plumbing had good reviews not only on Angie's list but I also saw them on Consumers Checkbook as a highly rated company for both price & service. Therefore we decided to give them a call. They were prompt, sent in two technicians (Rob & George). They snaked out the kitchen sink but the water still backed up into the sink when you ran the washing machine. However- they didn't just give up. It took them about 2 hours to "figure out the mystery"- but they did !!. They were the only ones to think about also snaking out the washing machine line as well as the sink line. They had to use about 80 feet of cable for the washing machine line snake out - but that finally solved my problem for good. I can now use my washing machine and no water backs up into the kitchen sink or the dishwasher. We'd never thought that this problem could be completely resolved- and couldn't be happier with this company. Will certainly call them back again if we have any other plumbing issues - as they went above & beyond what any other plumbinyg company had done for us. Excellent work - bravo for them !!!

It went very well. Installed garbage disposal as discussed. Tested all connections to ensure no leaks. He reviewed how to properly maintain the unit in good working condition. Great experience.

Excellent. Able was shorthanded, but still got me a service tech (Danilo) the next morning. Extremely grateful to customer service rep, Mary for getting me in so quickly and while heavily booked. Danilo arrived promptly, and was very polite, knowledgable and likable. He identified the water issue, fixed it in minutes, and advised me on how to ensure we eliminate the existing water. He even reminded me of the $20 coupon on Angie's list...Great job Able!

I asked for a Saturday appointment and Danilo was there at 8 am sharp! I was very impressed. He said I would need a specific pump to get the water to the master bath; that the problem wsa it ws very far away from the water heater. He is checking on prices and will work up an estimate. He fixed the leaking toilet very quickly. He was in and out in about 45 mins. I would recommend them very highly.

Our gut told us another quote we received was too high. We found Able and we're glad we did. Danilo was professional and polite and nice to our dog. The work was performed quickly and expertly and the quote was right on. He also replaced a part on our toilet for just the price of the part. We highly recommend Able Plumbing!

Able promptly set up an appointment in the same week that I called. The technician arrived on time, was professional, and the work was performed well. The new toilet is of good quality. I forgot about the Angie's List coupon when I paid and they honored it when I called a day later.

My bathroom faucet started dripping so I contacted Able plumbing based on the Angie's list reviews and their Sautrday hours. I was told the plumber would arrive between 1-4 on Saturday. Nelson the plumber called me about a half an hour before he arrived to let me know he was coming. He arrived in the scheduled range at 2:30. After looking at the drip for a while he said that it was a cheap faucet and would make more sense to just replace the whole thing. I was given the option of buying my own faucet or using the faucet that Nelson had on his truck. For convienience I went with the furnished faucet. Nelson installed it in about an hour and it turned out real nice. It was a nice Moen faucet and everything looks great. The total was $325 with the $20 coupon from Angie's List. I'm not sure what something like this usually costs but it seemed reasonable to me. Overall I am very happy with the service provided by Able Plumbing. Nelson the plumber seemed very nice and honest. I would use them again.

Absolutely the best service I have received from any company I have used to complete home repairs. Rob is an excellent technician and he walked me through the process every step of the way. One of my second floor bathtubs was leaking water through the ceiling of my first floor. Rob was able to cut through the drywall in an area that is not easily visible to expose the leaking area. He was able to identify where the leaks were coming from and some wear & tear to the tub itself. He made recommendations to fix the plumbing issues, but the work can not be completed until the sub-flooring and new backer board is completed. We came up with a plan for remodeling the bathroom tub area and to have Rob come fix the plumbing issues when the remodeler has the wall fully exposed. Rob then attended to the leaking toilets finding issues with the internal pieces. All the pieces needed for repairs to the toilets were on Rob's truck and they were not expensive to replace. Within 20 minutes the toilets were fixed and I have had no issues with them since. This is the second time Rob has fixed a plumbing issue in my home and I have been very satisfied with his professionalism, knowledge and work.

Rob was on time, very neat, and very competent. I had started to do the work myself but was so glad that I called Able Plumbing. Rob had to saw the bolts off of one tank and really worked hard to get them off. It was great to just let him take care of it. He did a super job and cleaned everything up afterwards. What a great experience. Thanks Angie's List for the recommendation and Able Plumbing for a job well done. BTW - the work was done on a Saturday and the rate wasn't increased because of that.
