+ -1 moreAs I expected, the technicians Danito and Alan were unable to find any leak in the kitchen sink, There's no evidence at all that there was a leak, so the inspector was sloppy. Danito and Alan spent far more time looking for a leak than the inspector did when he looked. They replaced the overflow gasket quickly and were exceptionally cautious to avoid breaking the PVC downspout. Danito warned me that breakage of the pipe is possible, but he was able to avoid the problem.
Description of Work: We're selling our home and the buyer's inspector noted a leak in the kitchen sink and a bathtub overflow gasket that required replacement. I called Able Plumbing and they were able to work me into the schedule the same day.

Since it was late in the day, I suggested that that he might want to come back the next day; but Nelson said he wanted to stay until the problem was taken care of. I was happy with the whole experience with Nelson of Able Plumbing.

Nelson was prompt, professional and super courteous. He completed all work in well under what it took prior plumbers to do similar.

From the word Hello everything was fantastic. I explained what I had and what I wanted. Able was able to fix me up over the phone and had some one out here within 2 hours to replace water heater. The gentleman who came out was very professional . He did not rush through the job but took his time and made sure everything was done exactly right. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Description of Work: I had a foul stench emanating from one of my bathrooms. Additionally, I had a VERY slow draining sink in the master bathroom. Able came out (2 plumbers) and after a few cursory tests, determined that it was coming from the bath tub. As we have a septic system, it was my fear that it was failing. Upon learning that we rarely use that tub, they speculated that the water seal had dried up. They ran about 2" of cold water into the tub, and let it sit for a few minutes. Drained, and then told me to call again if this didn't work. After that, they had a machine that "snaked" my bathroom sink drain. The astonishing amount of crud and sludge (GROSS!) that they removed was eye-opening. Anyway, they didn't charge me for the advice re: the tub (and quite frankly, I felt they were entitled; after all, it was they who did a great diagnosis). Just charged for the snaking. Gave me an additional discount for being an Angie's List customer. So honest! So prompt! Very fair!. I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: They did two jobs for me. In Nov. 2016 they replaced a hot water heater, a ball valve, and the main shutoff valve and adjacent piping, all of which were leaking. In Mar. 2017, they replaced flapper, fill valve, and supply line in upstairs toilet tank, which were leaking. Total costs: Nov. 2016 job: $2160, Mar. 2017 job: $256.

+ -1 moreTwo phone calls, one voice message and requested emailed photos resulted in no call back from Mr. Tickle. Monday's morning call was to the receptionist who asked for emailed photos. Wednesday evening left a voice message. Friday morning spoke with Mary, office manager, who confirmed my phone number and receipt of my photos. She promised to leave another message for Mr. Tickle to call me. I never received a call back the entire week (and more).

+ -1 moreWe received various estimates for an electric water heater. Able was the fairest and most reasonable. Valerie, our primary contact, even offered us a senior discount. Nelson was our installer. He was outstanding: Very courteous, professional, and extremely efficient. He installed a new water heater, by himself, and the job was complicated because it had to fit in a tight space. Rob, the owner, also went out of his way to get this scheduled. Able Plumbing will do all of our plumbing work from now on.

They were on-time (within the arrival window), called about 15 minutes before arrival, and worked efficiently which is important since it was a per-1/2 hour charge. They also didn't try to up-sell any work. I sent out e-mails to a few local plumbers and found Able to be the least expensive as well. I'd use them again without hesitation.
