Rob from Able Plumbing came to my home and replaced my cracked toilet with a new Toto Drake. He also looked at my second toilet, which wouldn't stop running, and found that it just needed a simple repair. Rob was very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely call Able Plumbing again for my plumbing needs.

I called Able plumbing because my shower faucet was leaking and I couldn't get the cartridge out to replace it. The plumber arrived during the window of time they had said and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Friendly and efficient, he was done in no time. The price was reasonable considering the other plumber I'd spoken to wanted 75dollars more. I will definitely use Able again in the future.

Upon calling Able on March 11, I was told by Phyllis that a plumber could be at my condo within a 4-hour window between 11AM and 2PM and she would call before he arrived. At 3:55PM I called Phyllis assuming that the plumber would not be able to comply with the appointment. Phyllis told me that he was running late at this previous appointment and told me that he could come between 5PM and 6PM. I explained that it was too late for me and expressed it would have been nice if she had called beforehand if he was not able to meet the 4-hour window after I waited for 4 hours. I could have had the option of looking for another plumber and not wasting any more time. She apologized profusely and promised to call me first thing in the morning on Tuesday March 12 to confirm another appt. between 11AM and 2PM. Wellllll....guess what! NO phone call. So I started looking for another plumber on Angie's List and at 1:31PM on March 12 called Able Plumbing. The person who answered (not Phyllis) told me that the plumber could not meet the ll-2PM window and could come later but she could not tell me when. Annoyed, I cancelled the service and it seemed ok with her because she had an "I don't care" attitude. A few minutes later Phyllis called to inform me that "Nelson" was on his way and I explained that I had cancelled the service with another lady I spoke with. She told me that she did not know this??? and I said "what is going on there??? you call after I cancelled but meanwhile no calls were made...not even out of courtesy to the client. I cancelled because I had made another appointment with another plumber and because I couldn't be playing games with 4-hour windows that they couldn't comply with." I had chosen Able based on their excellent reviews but they messed up their recommendation with me. I understand that perhaps they are very busy and do not have enough manpower to handle their business but its not good business to promise the client service that they cannot comply with. Its better to be honest. I also understand that they must provide excellent plumbing service but the first person the client deals with is the one who leaves the first impression. I'm an extremely busy person and don't have time to be dealing with 4-hour windows which are slammed in my face. Able has to get their act together and not rely always on crowning achievements. All kings loose their crown sooner or later.

Use this company! Danito arrived, took off his shoes, identified exactly where it was leaking, and solved the problem. He works quickly and you never feel like he's just eating up the clock. I definitely will use this company again!

I called Able Plumbing to make an appointment for someone to fix a clogged toilet. The highly experienced and capable Phyllis was friendly and helpful in scheduling the appointment for a day or two later. When I managed to unclog the toilet myself, I called again and told Phyllis that I would still like the plumber to check both of my toilets because of questionable plumbing repairs done previously by another company. Phyllis assured me that their plumber would be only too happy to accommodate my request. As promised, Phyllis called when the plumber was on his way. Danny arrived, checking both toilets and replacing the fill valve on one and making an adjustment on the other. He was quick, capable, clean, and highly communicative, explaining to me how I would know when a future problem was in my toilet or in my condo building's pipes. Danny took all of about 25 minutes to service both toilets, finding a problem (fill valve needing replacement) with one which had been deemed by a previous plumber about a month ago to be in perfectly good shape; that toilet now flushes like a brand new toilet. Throughout his work, Danny was incredibly polite and pleasant. The cost of the service was remarkably reasonable, much more so than any other plumber that I've used in this area. And during my initial phone call to Able, Phyllis had told me to be sure to print out the Angie's List coupon, so my cost was lowered even more--I'd not have thought of it had Phyllis not mentioned it. Danny worked efficiently to get both of my toilets in perfect working order after two previous plumbers had failed to do so. So from start to finish, I had an extraordinary experience with Able Plumbing.

I called and made an appointment for the next day. The plumber was on time, assessed and told me what needed to be done and then fixed all the issues.

They were very reliable. They were very good. We got their card if we ever need to call them again. We were very pleased with their service. They were very friendly and accommodating. I think their prices may be a little higher than most but I think the service was worth it.

Overall, it went great! I had called several other places for prices and I got quotes of anywhere from $350, including parts, to $450 without parts. When I called, they told me the rate, which was based upon time, and gave me an accurate indication of approximately how long it would take. Ended up costing $250 including parts. The technician was great. Explaining why I had the problem I was having (toilet was leaking at the base due to how the floor had been installed) and suggested he install two sealing rings to prevent this from happening again. He was professional, honest, and competent. I would absolutely call them again.

I found Able on Angie's list with good reviews, so I called them and set up an appointment. They offered me a same day appointment, arrived on time and were able to replace a section of the copper pipe and stop the leak. A few months later, same problem, leaking pipe in the basement. Called Able again, and had the same great service. I will be using Able again this spring when I have to have to some leaky outside spigots replaced.

They were highly responsive on the phone and gave me estimates for a visit to my house and also called back promptly with the price of the new faucet I needed. The cost for installing these faucets was pricey but not out of line with other plumbers. Their willingness to do the work within a couple of days was a plus and they seem to know their business well. I ended up having someone else do the work as part of a renovation project in my house, but I would contact Able for future jobs.

Why is it that many home problems surface when it's most difficult to find a repair service. Well, that happened to us last Friday night when our kitchen drain stopped draining and I was unable to clear it myself. After several applications of Drano and an attempt to self-clear with a snake (some of whch broke off in the drain) I started calling plumbers. My regular plumber said they did not work on weekends so I kept searching. The Angie's list information for Able Plumbing indicated they worked on weekends (including Sundays). It was very late and they didn't answer on Friday night, but I was able to leave a message. I called back on Sat. morning and was told that a plumber would be calling me with an approximate service time. When the plumber called he was very polite, listened carefully to our needs, and replied with the fee that would apply. He also said he would honor a coupon posted on Angie's list. The Able Plumbing office called later in day to say the plumber was on his way. Danilo arrived late in the afternoon and quickly assessed the situation. After covering the floor in a large mat he used a snake to clear the drian. He tested the drain several times. He then took no more than 15 minutes to install the new faucet. He made a few adjustments when I noticed that the water pressure was weak and there was not enough slack in the pull down faucet. When he left at about 5:45 pm he said he had another service call to make before he'd be finished for the day. All in all we were very satisfied. Because Able Plumbing was available when we needed them and responded so well, I expect they will now be our regular plumber.

I used Able plumbing based on their review history on Angie's List. Scheduling the service was easy, and the plumber was able to make it to us in spite of a large storm the preceding day. The plumber was efficient and professional. The plumber supplied the replacement cutout valve and installed the replacement toilet we provided. Both the toilet and cutout valve have worked flawlessly in the four months (and counting) since.

This task was tricky since the old central fitting where the spout needed to go had been there forever and it was very difficult to remove. Able's plumber Rob was very professional and helpful and worked quickly and efficiently. It was overall a pleasant experience and a relief to deal with a good company and a highly competent employee after some bad experiences with previous plumbing companies. THANK YOU Angie's List for helping me (finally) find a good plumber!

Excellent, just like my other experiences with Able Plumbing

I was really impressed by them. They did a great job. I liked their honesty and integrity. Their price was a good value. They are good guys, and I will call them again.

I used a coupon for this service and I have recommended them to others.

Our electric water heater was not putting out enough hot water any more (one of the heating elements had probably stopped working). We asked for an estimate to replace it with a gas water heater. I called on a Thursday and someone came the next day on time. He started by saying the gas lines were not grounded and therefore not properly installed. He asked if the work had ever been inspected because it was not done right. The gas lines were inspected when gas was first brought into the house when we converted from an oil furnace to a gas furnace and again when our kitchen was remodeled and a gas cooktop and gas drier were installed. The work passed inspection both times. He replied "I guess it's OK if you haven't had any problems." He then told me we would have an estimate the following Monday. It's been almost two weeks and no one has called. We went with another company that explained that the flue wasn't large enough to handle both the furnace and a gas water heater, gave us several options for electric heaters, gave pricing on the spot, and installed the water heater the next day. Not sure why Able did not respond. We used them a couple of months ago to replace a garbage disposal and they did a good job then.

First job was to replace a shower faucet. The work was done in a very timely manner and done extremely well. Second job was to snake a slow drain. After the job was done, the drain worked better than it had in many, many years.

Within minutes they knew it was blocked in the garbage disposal. They had to snake the drain and found banana peels that got caught under the garbage disposal blades, but did not go through the pipes. Fixed in no time and were thankful they didn't have to snake the entire pipe and drainage system. While here, I asked they what they would charge to replacement my kitchen faucet. (This was not a hugh priority and was not mentioned in my original call). The guys were willing to do for me and the cost was well worth it to my husband. I was given a window for service between 12-4, and was told by Phyllis it would probably be between 12 & 2, but would call and confirm, which she did. They called again to tell me the crew was on their way. Office was friendly and professional and crew was knowlegeable, quick and efficient. Would definitely call again.

Discovered a leak in the guest bath. Plumber was prompt and professional. Repaired leak and advised what else should be done (replace caulking).

Could not compare quote with other companies as they never responded to our inquiries.

My wife and I live in a three-story townhouse. When she flushed the toilet in the powder room on the main floor, it backed-up through a drain pipe in the heater room in the basement. I flushed the toilet in the basement and it immediately overflowed. I checked drainage from the two bathrooms on the third floor and found that those were not affected as they drained through a separate header and was connected to the main drain pipe after the clogged one. After reading through reviews on Angie's List, I called Able Plumbing and spoke to Phyllis who scheduled an appointment for later that day. She called back within the hour and informed me that a technician was on his way. Nelson arrived shortly and after discussion and diagnosis he estimated the cost to be about $400 and asked if that was agreeable. I felt the situation warranted immediate action so I agreed. Nelson brought in a large electric auger and snake assembly and began snaking the clogged pipe. Within fifteen minutes, he had found the source of the blockage: an old plumbing snake! (Still not sure how it got there). After securing his equipment, I told Nelson that when I spoke to Phyllis about getting Able's number from Angie's List, she reminded me to use the "coupon," but that I did not find one. I did get a $10 off coupon from Able's web site and gave that to Nelson. Nelson prepared the bill in his truck and returned with a $20 discount on the bill making the final bill $414. Both Phyllis and Nelson were friendly, courteous and professional. I give the cost a "C" because given the scope of the job which took less than an hour to complete, $414 seems a bit steep. Yet, I did not have the time to shop around for a better deal. I'm sure ALL plumbers are aware of that. Given Able's quick response and professionalism, I would certainly consider hiring them again, but I may try another company to gauge the difference in price.

My son's home had a leak running along the baseboard in our basement. Very concerned that it would have entailed a possiblity of having to have our basement floor dug up. The technician, Danilo B., was very reassuring that Able Plumbing would be able to assess and resolve the situation. Danilo inspected every possible source for the water leak, and traced it to the toilet supply line in our basement bathroom. He pulled the old line and installed a new one. The work was guaranteed not to leak for 30 days, and we have had no more leaks. The original cost was $113.00 but with the Angie's List coupon we saved $20.00. We would definitely use Able Plumbing again.

The bathtub faucet in the upstairs bathroom had a nuisance leak for a few weeks. I tried to replace the cartridge myself, but was afraid that I was going to do more damage. After consulting Angie's List I called Able Plumbing on a Monday afternoon and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. I was forced to cancel that appointment. Able Plumbing was very understanding and rescheduled for the next day. On Wednesday morning I received a call asking if the technician could arrive early. I agreed. Nelson showed up at the newly agreed upon time and proceeded to fix the bathtub faucet. The faucet was fixed quickly so I asked him to look at the slow leak in our bathroom sink. He diagnosed the problem quickly, had the necessary part in the truck, and fixed that leak as well. Able Plumbing was very easy to work with and my wife and I were pleased with the work they performed.
