The plumbing technician was on time, very nice and performed an excellent job installing a kitchen sink I had purchased. The price seemed high to me, but I think that's just how much plumbing work costs these days. Excellent work, I'd definitely use them again.

They provided good service. They arrived on time, fixed the sink efficiently and the price was fair.

Another provider had quoted a price that was $70 higher than what Able did it for. I liked the Able has hourly rates rather than rates by the job. I always feel like the ones that charge by the job are making out pretty well. Sometimes a simple faucet repair only takes 40 minutes but it still costs hundreds of dollars. When I made the appointment, the woman on the phone was super nice and even reminded me to print out the Angie's List coupon for first time customers. I got two calls to confirm this morning and the repair person was very friendly and professional. I will definitely use them again.

The plumber, Rob, was punctual, friendly and professional. He had to repair the exterior spigot from a small, cramped space between the washer and the wall in our laundry room and was a trooper about it.

The service call was fine. The technician arrived within the designated time frame. He determined the problem quickly, explained my repair options, and completed the repairs in about an hour. The treatment I received and the repair quality completely met my expectations. I would feel totally comfortable calling Able again. I haven't done any research on pricing for this type of repair, but my guess is that their pricing is consistent with that of other plumbing companies.

From intial contact to schedule an appointment to the plumber arriving at my home, Able Plumbing provided top notch customer service. Each repair was thoroughly explained and reasonably priced. I truly felt that I was getting an honest anwer and not the "usual" runaround. I will definitely use Able Plumbing again and recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

Able Plumbing Inc, did an excellent job from start to finish. They scheduled the work promptly, showed up right on time and finished the work quickly. I showed the plumber where the problems were and he went to work immediately repairing everything. It only took about thirty minutes to replace the pressure valve with another high quality valve, replace the two washers and adjust the water flow in one shower. It was top notch work for a reasonable price. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. I have used Able Plumbing in the past and they have always come through with flying colors. It is service with a smile.

Service is good, except the price.

I was selling my house and had a small bathtub repair issue that came out of the home inspection. Another plumbing service had fallen through and I was in a hurry to have the repair done prior to the buyers' final walkthrough. I called Able Plumbing, and they were able to send someone out the next day. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional, and the work was done quickly and well. I highly recommend Able Plumbing!

Woke up to no hot water. Called Able and they sent someone very soon, no extra charge for the weekend. Nelson installed a water heater and did two other small jobs (dripping faucet inside and outside). Nelson was excellent, I would definitely ask for him again.

They came twice within one week to correct the issue and only charged me once! I went from having a mystery of a plumbing problem to a fix. I would not hesitate to contact them again.

We had an emergency and needed to get in touch with them in the middle of the night. We sent him an e-mail, but we didn't think he would answer. However, we did get an answer from him and he came to fix the problem. He did very good work and we were satisfied with his service.

When I came home last night I found water was backing up into my utility room from the floor drain. It happened only when I flushed the upstairs toilet. Since I had another toilet that didn't seem to back up the drain, I was able to wait until morning to call a plumber. I researched Angie's list and found Able Plumbing. I called when they opened up and spoke to a lovely woman named Mary, who said she would talk to the first repairman that came in to see if he could get to me before noon. She called me back about 30 minutes later and said that another repairman could come out immediately and would be there in 30-40 minutes (morning traffic in DC area). He (Bryan) was here exactly when she said and asked me all about the issue, had his tools with him, ready to go. He was with another repairman (George) and both of them went right to work assessing the issue. They flushed every toilet, check every drain, filled the washer with water and ran it through, filled the tub and drained it, but found no issue. Bryan opened the outside flushout and watched it while George ran all the water and nothing was clogged. I explained that I tried plunging the toilet the evening before, but it still seemed to have water leaking. They were very polite and said I must have taken care of it and they see nothing wrong at all. I felt a little embarrassed to have them come out at all, when I apparently fixed the problem. They were very kind and said it wasn't a problem, which sometimes you think they say that because they are getting paid, but it didn't feel that way. Bryan told me to watch the drains and if anything seems to be backing up to call immediately. I appreciated that they did the up front assessment work and did not go right to snaking, which would have been a large bill. He also advised on when I was ready, I should change out my toilet for one that didn't have the style of drain angle that I have. I have to say that I have used numerous plumbing companies over the 20 years I've lived in my house and I know that Able is going in the keep file for repair companies. very prompt. Thanks Angie's List for having them on there and thanks to Able Plumbing for having great employees.

The removal and reinstall of my hot water heater went wonderfully and I saved money by getting a replacement water heater since it was still under warranty.

They were pretty good. They sent a young guy out and the guy was good. He came out to me and did a perfect job. He knew what he was doing and he was prompt.

Overall process was pretty smooth. I was able to make the appointment early and have someone at my house later that afternoon. The technician arrived on time and was quick in diagnosing the issue and getting to work. I wasn't home so he called me and gave a full breakdown of the issue and cost. The pricing seems a little confusing as there are some things that have a flat fee and others have hourly charges. That may be standard for this type of work and i'm just not familiar with it. The price ended up being a little more than I had expected but overall seemed reasonable. I'd definitely use them again.

UPDATE: The company's response, below, speaks for itself: they install the wrong hot water heater and then make excuses. How hard is it to look at the side of a water heater and see whether it says "40" or "50"? The worst part: I called the owner of the company more than once and he never returned my call. If only the owner had called, apologized, and said, "what can we do to make this right?" I wouldn't have been so frustrated. ---------------- My hot water gave out so I made a couple frantic phone calls. Able resonded quickly and said they could do the work that same day. Their responsiveness was impressive. I told them my old water heater was 40 gallons and that I wanted to upgrade to a 50-gallon tank. We negotiated a price of $1,200. They didn't have it in stock, but picked it up from their supplier and showed up in record time. So far, so good! When the installer showed up, I confirmed with him - twice - that they were installing a 50-gallon tank and the price was $1,200. I left the installer alone to do his work. About 90 minutes later he told me he was done and said I should come and take a look. I said, "that's funny...that doesn't look any bigger than my old, 40-gallon water heater. Are you sure this is 50 gallons?" He responded, "yes, that's just the way they make them...the 50 doesn't take up any more room than the 40." I asked a second time, "are you sure...that seems odd." He again said it was 50. You can guess where this is going: I looked at the side of the tank, and it said 40 gallons. Yes. He installed the WRONG WATER HEATER. Rather than take ownership of the problem and say he'd make it right, he tried to convince me I didn't really need a 50-gallon tank and that the 40 was just fine. "The recovery rate is so fast on these new ones that you won't even notice a difference." I told him we had a problem, so he went out to his van to think about what to do. In the meantime I called Able's main office and explained the problem. The receptionist said she'd have to check and call me right back, which she did. She said, "okay, this was a mistake, but 10 gallons isn't really a big deal, so we'll let you have it for $1,185." I was stunned. They installed a tank 20% smaller than we agreed, and their solution was to take $15 off the price. The installer came back to my door and upped the ante, offering a $50 discount. I told him I'd guess the 40 was at least $150 cheaper than the 50. He said, "well, at this point I'm just worried about losing the sale, so will you take it if we reduce the price $150?" My inclination was to make them come back with the water heater they were supposed to install, but he couldn't get it that day so it would have meant another Saturday wasted on this. I work a lot and didn't have another free day for at least a month, so I agreed to pay $1,050 and keep the water heater I don't want. If my schedule allowed me to waste another Saturday on this I'd have insisted they give me the water heater heater I wanted, but I just can't afford that time-wise. So now I'm stuck with the same too-small water heater I've always had. I'm not sure what shocks me more: that they installed the wrong water heater, or that they were so lousy about making it right - trying to convince me that the wrong product they installed was just fine for me, and then offering a lousy $15 off the price!

Turned water shut off valve back on for exterior hose faucet only to have water pour out from basement ceiling. Had no idea where leak was coming from. I was very concerned that our newly finished basement ceilings would have to be chopped up in an effort to find the leak. Able plumber came out and quickly figured out where leak was coming from and made one small access cut in ceiling and repaired and replaced necessary items. Would definitely use again.

Called on Wednesday and they had availability the next day. Friendly receptionist called ahead of their arrival. Plumbers were polite and quick to make the repairs. Chose Able Plumbing because of the high reviews on Angie's List and I am not disappointed.

I used Able Plumbing Inc today. It's not a new company. I have used them a lot in the past and they are the best plumber by far that I've ever used. It was $1400 but they gave me a discount. They are extremely competent and extremely pleasant to deal with.

Our experiences with Able Plumbing have been great overall. Each time they have scheduled our appointment for non-emergency service within 48 hours. They phone about 20-30 minutes before arriving and they arrive within the promised time window, if not a few minutes early. Their plumbers were courteous, personable, efficient and extremely competent. They completed both jobs in about 30 minutes or so. Their charges are reasonable with no surprises--pretty much as estimated when we scheduled service. No complaints and we will use them again.

Phyllis, the person in the office I reached when I called, found my entry in their computer and was williing to accomodate my schedule. She was very pleasant, knowledgable, and helpful. She called me this morning to give me a 45-minute warning that the plumber was on his way. Danilo arrived early during the scheduling window, so I didn't have to wait at all. I showed him what needed to be done, and he went to work. Throughout the time he was here, Danilo was very nice, helpful, and engaged. When he finished the work, he explained to me exactly what he needed to do, and then explained the bill in detail. I would have Able Plumbing/Danilo come back to do plumbing work any time. Excellent!
