We are very satisfied! Able Plumbing was able to send someone out on the holiday which was great so that we didn't have to take time off of work to deal with our plumbing issue. We were given a four-hour window during which we were timely called and notified when the plumber would arrive. When the plumber arrived, he worked quickly to determine the possible causes of our noisy water pipe. Luckily, he was able to fix the problem on the spot, as well as a couple of additional leaks from our faucets and drain pipe. He gave us a quick assessment of the condition of our pipes and estimate of what it would cost to fix/replace faucets if we were to remodel our bathroom which we mentioned we might do. The cost seemed reasonable for the time spent and work completed. We also used a $20 off Angie's List coupon. Overall, the visit went very well, and we would definitely use Able Plumbing again in the future for our plumbing needs. The only suggestion I have would be to wear those shoe covers when inside the house.

Able Plumbing was the only one who came within a day; others said it was a 3 day window. They came to the house promptly, assessed the situation and replaced piping. And they honored the discount from Angie's.

The 2 plumbers who showed up were on time, friendly and happy to answer questions and went out of their way for me when I asked them if they could help me figure out where my hose bib came into the house so I could shut it off. We determined the previous owners installed a no-leak/no-freeze hose bib, which was great! Able plumbing did a great job, they were super helpful, friendly, fast and most importantly, did good work.

The plumber arrived about a half hour after i was called and notified he was on his way which was well at the start of my expected window meaning I didn't really have to wait too long. As soon as he arrived, I showed him the first burst pipe and he went to work immediately to repair it expertly. I then had him replace the cold water gate valve on my water heater with a ball valve as the current one broke while I was trying to cut the water flow off a few days before. Once he completed that, I decided to replace the other gate valve that I had connected to the pipes with a ball valve since it was also old and I didn't want to risk it eventually breaking on me later on. Once he finished those we went to try and find the second burst pipe which was behind multiple counters on the back wall. The plumber was able to access the pipes through my storage shed connected to my house which allowed him to find the pipe and repair it without damaging anything in the kitchen. This actually proved difficult as he had to cut through multiple layers of drywall and particle board, but he find the burst pipe with minimum effort, which was impressive. He immediately went to work in the small area and was able to repair the pipe. Once all the water was turned back on, everything was tested and there were no leaks found and the repairs complete. I would definitely use them again and appreciate the quick response and professional service

The work was in 3 bathrooms. The plumber was careful and efficient. He got the work I needed done well and pointed out that water pressure control valve on the main line needed to be replaced soon. I should also note that there services were used twice before and the work done good enough to have them come again.

Bryan handled the job in a very professional manner explaining everything he was doing and the resultant charges.

This was a tough job, we knew approximately where the pipe has burst based on where the water was leaking (where the icicles had formed), but access to this area was underneath a deck, in the cold mud, with about 3 feet of space between the overhang and the ground. Our plumber, Rob, got in there, took apart the wood enclosure around the piping (do as little damage as he could), stripped the insulation, found the leak and replaced the broken length. Under the cold, wet conditions and constraints of the space he was working in (lying in cold mud, with 2.5 of clearance, then reaching in another 2 feet to access the pipes up against the house), he pulled off a minor miracle. When he first assessed the situation and the space he had to work in, his eyes seemed to say, "this isn't my day". But he handled the whole thing cheerfully and professionally. In addition, he came down to the basement afterwards to help bleed the exposed pipes to make sure that nothing would be damaged before the handyman could come re-insulate and enclose the area he'd worked on. And in the midst of all this, he was the type who was still careful to take of his shoes before coming in the house, and to wipe down every drop where things got wet when he drained the pipes in the basement. A+ job under tough circumstances - all this for about $250.... we were very happy customers, especially considering the circumstances.

We had a water pipe on our third floor freeze and then break causing water to flow everywhere. I called Able at about 11am, I explained situation and asked if we could have someone out on the same day. Val had taken my call and was great. She told me that she could have someone out between 12 and 4pm. She was very personable and I enjoyed joking with her on the phone, her phone demeanor made my day better. It seemed like no time until she was calling me saying that someone was on the way out. Nelson and George arrived at 2pm. I explained what had happened, showed them around and they went to work. By 3:45pm, they had located the problem and fixed it. Nelson and George were fast and seemed to do great work, as well as cleaned up after themselves. They explained what had happened and explained how it had happened. Nelson and George were very professional and personable. Able Plumbing took care of my family when we needed them. I'll definitely use them again in the future as well as recommend them to our friends and family.

Let me begin by saying that Rob from Able Plumbing was great! And, I hope, also a patient man, as he has had to wait a whole year for this review... Ooops!!! Sorry Rob! The repair/replacement of the leaky tub spigot was a bit more extensive than anticipated - instead of being able to just replace the spigot/diverter as we had hoped, he found he needed also to cut away the wall above the spout to access and replace sections of the pipes surrounding the whole works... Forgive my lame description of the work done, it was a year ago and obviously I'm no plumber which is why I called one! I suppose a bonus, if there can be a bonus to needing $600 worth of plumbing work done, is that having to cut a big hole in the wall gave us the kickstart we needed to finally replace the horrible old tub surround with tile... :) Anyway, at the time Rob took the time to explain why it needed to be repaired as such, was professional, courteous, efficient, cleaned up after himself and was an all around pleasure to work with! We will definitely be using Able plumbing again!

Everything went well. He showed up when expected. He quickly went to work. He was out in less than 20 mins. He was friendly, helpful, and personable. Excellent service.

Leaking value needed replacement after home inspection. House was being sold. I trust them to be honest, timely and do a proper job. Plumbers aren't cheap so that is the way it goes. Good company been around for a while

Problem involved water leaks in ceiling. Provider came promptly when called, determined the cause of the problem and fixed it correctly.

The plumber was punctual. He was neat and careful in his work. He was fast and asked if there were any other things that needed repair.

I had noticed a few drops of water on the waste pipe in the basement and a damp spot under the toilet. Setting up the appointment was easy - one phone call - and Bryan and George were out the next day within the promised window. Bryan removed the (one-piece) toilet and noticed the wax seal was the problem. He replaced the seal and tested the toilet and it leaked again. He determined that when the powder room was renovated, the floor was built up enough so the seal didn't make a tight fit. He proceeded to create a custom seal with putty, wider and deeper than standard seals and ensured a good fit. Bryan said we should watch carefully for the next 30 days to see if there was any sign of water. After three weeks and lots of use during the holidays, there's no sign of problems. We would definitely use Able Plumbing again for responsiveness, quality of service, and price.

They were available the very day I called. The men went right to work and fixed the problem. The price was quoted over the phone, which they stuck to. They also gave me a cost should it entail more, but it didn't. I had an Angie's list $20 coupon and the woman I spoke to said, "don't forget to use the coupon!" But I did :-(

They replaced a garbage disposal. The old one was 10 years old. They did a good job and didn't try to talk me into buying a more expensive disposal than I needed. This is the second time Able has worked for me. The first time, a couple of years ago, they replaced leaking water pipes. Both times they did very good work. I am very happy with Able's work.

The two plumbers arrived on time and, based on what I described as to how the sump pump had been operating in recent months, tested the sump pump in the basement and determined that it had to be replaced. They replaced the sump pump and tested it to insure it was operating properly. In addition, in preparation for the winter, I wasn't able to totally turnoff the outside water for the garden hose with the inside turnoff valve. After checking both the outside and inside valves they replaced the inside turnoff valve. ..Prior to replacing anything, they described what they found during their inspection and testing and what they recommended to repair or replace. . I've used Able Plumbing a number of times in the past and find them very professional, timely and reasonable in price.

See above. They were as helpful as could be under the circumstances. Overall I paid more than I would have liked to but it was because of my poor faucet purchase.

Was tricky to find the right pipes hiding in the finished basement. Very professional, excellent work!

I've used Able Plumbing for the past few years, at least two or three times. I have found the workers to be professional and competent. In my experience, I have also found the office staff to be good about keeping me apprised of the approximate arrival time - within a 30-40 minute window. This allows me to use my time productively instead of twiddling my fingers while waiting.

They did a good job. They were quick to get the job done and there wasn’t a long wait to schedule. Once we received the toilet, they were able to install it within a couple days.

The work went well, within the time frame that I estimated and for less than was originally estimated. They didn't try to selI me service or parts that I didn't need. I will definitely use Able Plumbing again.

Tradesman was very professional, punctual and personable; But he absolutely wasn't the right guy to do what I thought was a fairly straightforward job; [I've subsequently done the same job on another faucet myself - having watched the process unsuccessfully attempted by the tradesman from Able] Having twice unsuccessfully reassembled the faucet w/ the new parts (water leaking very significantly) he decided that the only way forward was to install an entire new faucet (for which I was charged $150). There were apparently too many washers, bushings, seals ... for him to know how the part fit. In the course of installing the new/replacement faucet he dropped the bracing collar into the wall, leaving no option but to cut thru the wallboard on the adjacent (master bedroom) wall, in order to secure the faucet from the back side; I now have a new faucet (instead of a replaced component), a 6 x 16" hole in the wall awaiting repair, and annoyance at having paid 3 1/2 hrs labor for a job I subsequently accomplished myself in less than 1 hour; The ratings this plumbing shop got on Angie's were very high & that's why we had them do the work. We've had other local plumbers in to do other jobs (quite satisfactorily) before, but they don't rate as highly. Needless to say, I have real regrets for putting too much stock on other customers' ratings on Angie's List. We all must maintain a dash of skepticism -- if it looks too good, it may well be.....
