Our main sewer drain had clogged and backed-up into our basement. I left a message at 9pm at night (knowing the business was closed and not really expecting a speedy response), but a rep contacted me by 7am the next morning. The provider arrived by 9am and explained the work they would perform, along with associated costs. They snaked the drain, removed the obstruction (root growth), and cleaned up afterwards. We then discussed possible long term fixes to avoid future root obstructions. The service personnel were very courteous and professional. While the price was the somewhat high for the services provided, we would likely use Able Plumbing again in the future.

Our kitchen sprung a leak as the dishwasher was running. Having used Able before for a water heater replacement, we called them first. They were able to get here within 2 hours of calling, and fixed the problem easily. In addition, we had them look at a shower drain, which we had them snake. We were fortunate we did - what they pulled out is not a pleasant description... They are responsive, professional, and trustworthy. We plan on using Able exclusively as plumbing needs arise.

These guys were great. I will absolutely call them the next time we have plumbing needs. Bryan took the time to explain everything about what he needed to do, absolutely did not try to sell me anything extra, and did the job promptly and well. Just a perfect experience - wish all contractors could be like them. It's a smallish family business - support them folks!

I called Able Plumbing after reading numerous positive reviews on Angie's List. My experience with them, unfortunately, left something to be desired. Nelson and George arrived late--although they at least called ahead to let me know. When they arrived, it took them longer than expected to fix a leaking kitchen faucet--although they ultimately did so. It was all downhill from there. Nelson determined that the slow draining shower could only be fixed by replacing the P-trap--and even that may not work. The suggested repairs were going to be very expensive and it didn't seem like any effort was made to find a more cost-effective solution. With regard to the leaking bathtub fixtures, Nelson suggested that the stems were not the correct fit for the valves, and that replacing them would cost approximately $350. When trying to install the new hardware, he determined it wouldn't work with the older (in his opinion) plumbing. Nelson told me he would look up the necessary part and contact me, but it took several calls to Able Plumbing over multiple days to get a response. I was told that they were unable to get that part, and the only way to fix the leaking was to install new plumbing behind the walls -- which would have cost $750 and left a hole in my wall. Unhappy with the high price tag, I eventually consulted with another plumber who found a much simpler (and cheaper) solution to my problem. The other plumber also noted that the plumbing fixtures installed in my shower were relatively new. My experience with Able left something to be desired--I'd encourage others to look elsewhere.

Calling for service was a breeze and I was able to schedule a visit for the next day. The appointment was scheduled for 4 pm and I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call they would be early. During the initial assessment the plumber let me know that the sink drain connection was an easy fix but the leak, due to its location, was a bigger effort than what the single plumber could do that day and would require some consultation to prepare a quote. It took him less than 30 minutes to repair the sink drain connection and then a few more minutes to take pictures of the leak to take back to the office. While on one hand it would have been nice to have had both problems fixed I appreciate the quick professional assessment and look forward to discussing the quote for the leak.

Nelson arrived on time, was professional and fixed the problem quickly. Very happy.

I found another plumber for tomorrow morning. I cancelled another job with Able Plumbing for tomorrow. Val seemed quite happy to take my cancellation. I would guess the receptionist and the plumber technician do not have an ownership interest in the company. So what do they care? Obviously nothing. Thanks for the response. I was under the impression the technician was in Fairfax and I had time to get to the appointment. A phone call to my cell when he arrived would have been nice. No worries though. I am certain I can find plumbers who want my business.

Called for service on weekend after basement flooded from back up. Valerie was telephone rep and Danilo completed the work. Both were extremely professional and up front with all cost. Home owners need services providers that are reliable and professional and these two were at the top of their game. Already lining up for future work and projects.

It was fine for a couple of months and then it started to leak again. This is not a reflection of their service. Perhaps they did not notice the core issue with the sink itself rather it being their work.

We had a very good experience with Able Plumbing. Our pipe burst with the frigid temperatures we have been having. I did my research on AL and decided to give them a call. Valerie, the office manager was very pleasant, helpful, and welcoming. She made a very good first impression for the company. She was able to secure an appointment for us the same day. The technicians arrived within the time frame provided and I was contacted by Valerie to let me know they were en route. Nelson and George went right to work to diagnose the problem. Although the work couldn't be completed on the first visit because they didn't have sufficient parts, they were able to turn off the water to just the problem area so we were not inconvenienced any further by not having water. They contacted me the next day to confirm the follow up visit and even gave me the first appt of the day so we wouldn't have to wait around. Again, Nelson and George arrived on time and were both professional. Nelson explained in great detail the work that was done and how to help prevent leaks in the future. George was helpful and even offered and vacuumed up the area where they cut the drywall. The final bill was high but probably in the ball park of other plumbers in the area. I would definitely use Able Plumbing again the future.

While we were on vacation a water pipe burst and filled our ground level with water. On a Sunday. Not many plumbers take calls on Sundays, but Able was open and Valerie was quick to call me back and set up a same day appointment. We were incredibly grateful, and Dinello even showed up BEFORE the estimated window and was finished quickly and having done as little dry wall damage as possible. I also think the pricing for the service was fair for the responsiveness of the service provided. It was a relief to call a plumbing professional and have our problem resolved quickly.

I had Able Plumbing come out on two occasions for work and both were great experiences. The first weekend Nelson came out to replace the valve assembly behind our shower control. He finished the job quickly and did some extra work to make the shower fixture installation easier for me. The second weekend Rob came out to replace the shutoff valve on the main water line to our house. The water valve at the street level would not shut off completely, but Rob still managed to replace our main valve cleanly and efficiently.

Val was great. George and Nelson came out and they were very professional and courteous. They arrived on time and were able to fix the pipes in a short amount of time. Price was fair considering there were two of them and there were two pipes to fix! They were also very good about letting me know some actions to take to help prevent future issues. I was pleased overall and would definitely call them again since they were so responsive!

This company is fantastic in terms of reliability, responsiveness and professionalism. Valerie, who took my call, was very kind, professional, and provided great customer service. She called at 9 am on Sunday after I had left a voicemail Saturday night at 11:30 pm and then called again at 12:45 to let me know that Danilo was on his way. Our window of service was between 12 and 4 so I appreciated the promptness and the heads up. Danilo is a consummate professional. Very knowledgable, courteous, and wanted to get the job done right. This is the first time I've used Able Plumbing and I will definitely be using them again for all my plumbing needs.

The plumbers were tidy and efficient. The cost was reasonable, and they did not charge us extra for same day service. I have used them before, and had the same great service.

2 fellows Brian C. and Henri arrived promptly at 9 am and set to work installing a gas line for our new stove. It took 5 hours and during the entire time they were very professional, courteous and friendly. Because its an older home they ran into several challenges installing it and we imagine it took longer than anticipated but their original estimate did not change. They were very neat and cleaned up after their job putting everything back its place. We will definitely recommend them for installation of any gas line and plan to use them again for our plumbing needs.

The work was great. The workers who came out were great also. They were very prompt. What stood out the most is that they identified the problem, and came out to fix it two weeks later. I had to wait for the parts.

Perfect. Replaced hose in 10 minutes. Wrote bill and rechecked hose while I wrote a check. Friendly and professional.

On the first visit I was given a time range, the office called when the tech was on his way. He was very friendly & knowledgable, found the problem right away. Had a part on the truck to fix the garbage disposal leak.

I called Able Plumbing on Sunday and the dispatcher was able to get us an appointment for the next day. She even offered either a morning or afternoon timeslot! Danielo looked things over, explained the condition of the old water heater and explained what needed to be done. He completed the work in the amount of time expected and showed us all that had been installed. He explained the warranty. Again, another great job from beginning to end by Able Plumbing!

Great! They arrived on time and removed a 4 foot root from our drain. Everything works better now.

Bryan and Henry arrived quickly and got right to work. Bryan checked out the sink, noted how slow it was draining, heard me say that I had already disassembled the pipes under the sink (no clog there, sadly), so he said the best and least messy solution would be to snake the vent pipe from the roof. The motorized snake made a bunch of noise, like he warned me it would, but within a few minutes, the sink water drained away and they had pulled out the clogging culprits. In summary, they were fast, accurate, and very helpful with suggestions on how to prevent future occurrences. I plan on calling them again for more work in the next week.

I had been given a 4 hour window for my scheduled service. Bryan called me a 1/2 hour prior to his arrival so I would know he was on his way. Bryant arrived and was very courteous and professional. He quickly analyzed the area in which he was to work and quickly removed the old toilet and then even cleaned up the floor from the old "gunk" on the tile. He then installed the new toilet and made sure it worked through a couple of cycles. He made sure to seal the outside of the bowl base. He was knowledgable and friendly and cleaned up after himself. It hasn't yet been a complete week after the service, but so far so good. I would use this company again. From the lovely lady who assisted me to book the appointment until the completion of the task, I was treated with courtesy and respect. Thank you, Able Plumbing.
