Work was scheduled a few days ahead of time, and they quoted me an approximate price on-line (which ended up being slihhtly higher than what I actually paid). Their office called 30 minutes in advance of arrival. Was given time frame of 8AM until noon and they arrived at about 9:45. Very courteous and professional. Understood the work needed in advance. I had already purchased both parts, and Danilo (plumber) worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job. Work was done cleanly and everything is working fine. He took the time to explain his work, which was appreciated. The price was in line with other plumbers in the area, but their punctuality and professionalism rates them a cut above to me. I has a couple other quotes, and I would suggest that you get what you pay for when you have work like this done. I saw a couple of the reviews that were not as kind as mine, but my experience was nothing like those. I would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

They did a competent job on the kitchen job, so no complaints there. But I was floored by a proposed "flat fee" of $349 to snake a drain. Would probably take 10 minutes. Ridiculous. I declined.

I contacted Able Plumbing through Angie's List messages about getting a water softener installed in my house. They messaged me back telling me to call them back to discuss over the phone. When I called back, I explained to the lady the message exchange on Angie's list which is why I was calling. She rudely said, "Well, I don't even know who you are". So I gave her my name and then had to ask for hers and then she began to ask me about my address, etc. in a condescending/rude tone. From there, I politely told her that I'll take my business elsewhere and that I didn't appreciate her tone of voice and customer service. She didn't apologize and simply said, "Have a nice day".

We used Angie's List to find a highly rated plumber, and Able Plumbing was our choice given its all "A"s rating. The setup of the appointment was a breeze using the Message function in the Angie's List web site. The staff members (Mary and Valerie) who handled the scheduling of our work were as pleasant and professional as could be. They could not have been any nicer. We were seen the morning of our first choice date, we were kept totally informed as to when the technician would arrive, and he was right on time. Danilo, the service tech, was totally charming, was most careful to go over all of our options, and when I chose one he took the time to repeat what I had asked for. With this young man's attention to detail, there will be no mistakes as to what the customer needed. Lastly he did his repair work perfectly and at the speed of light and he left the work area spotless. We couldn't ask for better than this ! In short, it's no surprise Able Plumbing Inc consistently rates as "All A's" on Angie's List. We will go back to them for any future needs, and recommend you give them serious consideration for your plumbing needs as well. Slainte !

From the initial call to the ABLE Plumbing office where I spoke with Valerie, I was treated as a valued customer. After explaining my needs to her, I was assured someone would be out to my home that very afternoon. Valerie told me the name of the plumber (Brian) who would be coming and that he would be with Alan, the apprentice. She explained how they value training others to be great plumbers to support customer needs. I appreciated having the names for safety purposes. Valerie told me she would call me when they were on their way and she did call within the hour. Both plumbers arrived within thirty minutes and began to address my problem working together in unison. I found both Brian and Alan very professional and respectful of my needs, patiently listening as I shared all my information before beginning to use their skills to solve my problem. Brian explained to me afterwards all that he had found and offered suggestions for the future care of my property. He provided me with follow-up contact information should it be needed. Brian is a skilled and knowledgeable plumber and I would definitely use ABLE Plumbing again.

We had a leak in our main water pipe from the street into the house. Luckily it was just inside the foundation wall (we have a crawl space) and leaking into the French drain for some time. I found Able Plumbing, a local, family-owned company on Angie's List and had them come out and give an estimate. They were the only ones using copper pipe, and the estimate was more than $2000 less. With their Angie's reputation, we agreed to the estimate. With busy travel times, it took a couple of weeks to get this scheduled. But, they came on time, finished the line replacement in one day and the county inspector came the next and approved the work. Essentially, they laid a one inch pipe and dug up our yard in only three places. They attached the pipe to the flooring (which is the ceiling of the crawl space) and insulated it. There were four holes dug about four feet deep and they traversed a large, ornamental fir tree on that side of the house. The filled in the holes, tamped the dirt down, planted grass seed and covered it with straw. The grass is coming in quite nicely now after a month. They were very courteous, punctual and did high quality work. I highly recommend them. They get all my plumbing work in the future. They also gave us an old-age discount.

I called Able Plumbing and spoke with Valerie, explaining to her that I had two toilets that were not working properly and both were so old that I was reluctant to try to take them apart to fix them. She sent a plumber, Nelson, out to take a look. After discussing the situation with Nelson, I decided to replace the toilets. I was impressed with the responsiveness of Able Plumbing (they were willing to make the job a priority and install the toilets on a Sunday) and equally impressed with the professionalism and personable nature of Nelson, so I decided to go with them for the job. Nelson showed up at the appointed time. I asked him to wait briefly while I looked up the toilet model numbers to make sure the units were quality toilets and he was very understanding and told me that if I did not think the quality was satisfactory he would simply take them back. He could not have been easier to work with. I confirmed that the Toto units Nelson brought were the right quality and he proceeded to install them and take away the old ones. The entire job did not take more than a couple of hours and that was with Nelson working alone. Once he had the units installed he asked me to take a look, flush them and let him know if anything was not to my satisfaction. He also gave me some advice on how to properly maintain the units. The toilets functioned perfectly and both bathrooms were at least as clean and tidy as they were before he began. Throughout the entire process, during which I had a lot of questions, Valerie and Nelson were professional, responsive and very friendly. When I phoned to complement Nelson and Valerie, I was patched through to the owner and he was just as friendly (great sense of humor, by the way) as the other two and thanked me for taking the time to call. I could not be more satisfied with my experience with Able and will definitely call upon them again the next time I need plumbing services.

We placed a call after hours when we first noticed a leak in our utility room, and received a call back before 8:00 am the next morning. They arrived around 9:00, replaced the broken part, cleaned up after themselves and were out in an hour. Professional, reasonably priced and gave me a first timer's discount. I would highly recommend Able Plumbing.

they came out the same day i called and the contractor was very pleasant and seemed professional. the only thing i didn't like was the cost was very high. the labor was ~$190/hr. that's almost $350k/yr and depending on how you add up the year and what your overhead costs are, that is still likely to be more than $150,000/year for the gentleman that came to my house. that seems very high to me. on top of that i was charged ~$50 for what would have cost me less than $20 at home depot. keep in mind home depot doesn't give their stuff away at cost and i wouldn't expect the plumber to either, i just wasn't expecting them to charge 2 or 3 times the actual value for the parts on top of the already crazy high hourly rate. the work seems to have been done fine but i think they took too long and charged way too much. next time i need a plumber i will look around and try someone else.

Made an appointment for Saturday morning. Around 8:30 got a call from the company saying that the technician was on his way. About 30 minutes later Danilo arrived. I showed him the basement and wet carpet in the utility room then showed him the faucet in the bath that only gave hot water. He went back down to examine the water heater and returned about 5 or 10 minutes later with the news (expected) that the water heater needed to be replaced. He said he had a number of other calls that day so didn't have time to replace it and asked if he could come back Sunday morning to do the work. I told him that would be fine. He showed up the next morning as promised and spent a couple of hours I would guess putting in the new water heater. He then replaced the part in the bath that was causing the hot water(only). He gave me a rundown of the new water heater and I checked to see the results. It all works beautifully. I didn't do much in the way of shopping around so I can not say how the price would compare to other options but the technician was pleasant, professional and seemed very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call Able Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

it went great. The stove we bought was different configuration from an old model and the install adapted perfectly. The service was done quickly and professionally. The price was very fair. We will not hesitate to return to Able Plumbing.

Plumber was on time, quickly assessed the problem and made the repair within 20 min.

Danilo came to fix or replace a faucet in one of our bathrooms. It turned out that the problem was caused by a problem with disintegration inside the water heater. Danilo did a great job explaining the problem and showing we had the same issue with all the faucets in our home. When he went to pick up the new water heater he brought another plumber, Henry. They covered the floors to keep them clean. They had to carry a 75 gallon water heater down a very narrow stairway with a curved landing and did not make one mark on my recently painted walls. Both men were extremely professional, worked as a team, answered our many questions and it was clear that they knew what they were doing. The soldering was clean and perfect. If we ever have another plumbing need we will not hesitate calling Able Plumbing again.

We had a slow leak underneath the tub in our basement bathroom. My husband, who is an expert plumber, worked on it for days and kept testing all the valves and drains to no avail. Reluctantly, he allowed me to call the plumber. Danilo came and within a few minutes, lying upside down and on his back, located two small leaks. He fixed them promptly. More importantly, he gained the trust of my husband and they had a wonderful time talking about plumbing issues. My husband commented he could have never found the leaks with his two artificial knees and being unable to get up again if he did get down on the floor in the first place! We thought the price was really reasonable and they came the next day and on time after we called. Recommended!

We needed someone to drain the outdoor sink we have on our patio. They came out and spent less then two hours at our house and and couldn't fix our drain because it was a bad design to begin with. While they had the sink out, we asked the guy to put in the new faucet we bought, which requires just placing it in. He charged close to $300 for material which we don't understand. We had the material! Also, he charged for labor. We feel like we just got ripped off. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Bottom line, as of 27 June --- Able Plumbing has provided no valve cap. The plumber said he'd be back in touch with us on 14 May. Approximately 4 weeks later --- on 16 June --- I called Able Plumbing and talked to Mary. I told her it had been a month since the initial visit and I hadn't heard anything. She told me she'd get in touch with the plumber, and have him call me with a status. I waited another 10 days with no contact. I again called Able Plumbing yesterday, on 26 June, and again asked for a status. I was told that I would receive a phone call today with the status (we're talking about a valve cap for pete's sake). Well, it's now a day later --- it's after business hours, and I still haven't gotten valve cap, not even a status for 6 weeks now. I don't even need them to come and screw it on; I just need the part. Can't use a hose in the backyard until I get it. So until I do, I'm putting water in a bucket and carrying it to the back yard. For these reasons I give them an F for Responsiveness and Punctuality and barely a D for professionalism. As it turns out I have an outside drain that I need looked at as well; I'll be looking elsewhere for a plumber to do this work. Disappointing because they have a good reputation, but their actions in my case have blown their reputation with me.

This is the second time we have used Able Plumbing and I will not hesitate to call them again. Nelson was the plumber who came and I cannot praise him enough. He is one of the most polite and respectful tradesman I have ever met. He worked hard for a solid hour with two different snakes attempting to unclog the drain. Unfortunately he was not able to clear the drain - it might have collapsed or there might be something hard stuck down there. This is a 60 year old floor drain so I wouldn't be surprised if it was something serious. Because he was not able to clear the drain he only charged us a small part of Able Plumbing's normal fee. That to me spoke volumes about this company. I have decided to call in another plumbing company to see if they might be able to clear the drain (kind of like getting a second opinion from another doctor), but if they can't then I sure am calling Able Plumbing back to tear up the concrete, dig down and replace the P Trap. Thank you Nelson for your professionalism!

Wide noticed water on floor of utility room. I checked it out and noticed a pin hole leak in copper pipe in overhead. I called Able as they did great work previously in our kitchen. We were able to get on their schedule that afternoon. Workers arrive within the agreed time frame and confirmed my diagnosis. They removed and replaced the leaking section of copper pipe. It took a while as it was in an inconvenience location. They cleaned up the are and asked if I had any questions.

The contractor used special power tools to cut out the old commode mounting flange and prepare the requisite mounting features for resetting the commode. They turned what could have been a very time-consuming effort into a "brief" ~ 2 hour turn-around effort start to finish, including setup time, assessment of the problem, determination of how to fix it, and finally, site cleanup. The team that showed up at our door (on time!) was very like-able, and demonstrated that they know their craft quite well.

Shower was leaking from the shower head. I was pretty sure the problem was a worn out/bad cartridge, but the existing cartridge was stuck and I could not remove it to do the job myself. Called Able and they were able to schedule me that same day for the afternoon. As promised I was called before the plumbers arrived and they arrived within the promised window of 12-4. I had purchased a replacement cartridge and Able used that to make the repair so there was no charge for materials. The plumber had a cartridge removal tool and had the old cartridge out by the time I got back from shutting off the water main. The entire job took them about 15 minutes and some of that time was spent answering a few questions I had. I found the two plumbers to be professional, friendly, and efficient and I was highly satisfied with the work performed and the amount of the bill. They took $20 off as a promotion for new Angie's List customers without my prompting.

Valerie was excellent in setting up an appointment to have the work done. The two contractors did an excellent job in identifying the issue and fixing it with two of my upstairs bathroom showers. I would recommend them highly.

Very happy with the service and also with their customer service. Everything very smoothly. Arrived on time.

Called on Thursday morning to see if they would come out on Friday after my usual plumber said yes, then changed his mind and said no. I thought I was having problems with the shutoff valve on my toilet and thus needed a plumber because i wasn't sure my whole house shutoff valve would work since I had been told the last time it should be replaced. So I was really looking for a plumber to replace the whole house valve. The plumber came during the half day window and looked at the toilet first. He said it was not the shutoff valve but the filler part inside the toilet. I wasn't sure this was right so I said what if its not that? He said I'd get the part for free. He replaced the part and it worked, however the toilet still didn't flush with much power. He then said I'd need a new toilet! Since I'm planning on upgrading both bathrooms - I declined. I asked if using a product to remove lime, etc. might help - he said perhaps. I used CLR on the toilet and it runs great now. So OK - he replaced the part and made the toilet run - but I fixed it so it flowed much better - but I'm not the plumber who is supposed to know far more than the homeowner! Thus the C marks. Also, the plumber was unable to shutoff the water to the house at the street and so the whole house valve was not replaced.
