Called their office and spoke with a person instead of an answering machine - very friendly! She put me on hold for a few minutes while searching for a technician in my area and luckily one was nearby. She took my number and said he would call as soon as he was on his way. Got a call about 10 minutes later and 10 minutes after that he was here! Very honest and professional. Worked quickly to fix the leaky copper pipe in my basement. Kept area clean the whole time. Charged me a very reasonable price and said the work is guaranteed for a year. What more could I ask for? Will definitely call them next time!

Amazing!!! I called them because we had a clogged toilet. They came the same day, on a Saturday, without any upcharges. They are a small, family-owned business and it showed. Everyone I spoke with was wonderful and extremely helpful. They even guaranteed their work for 30 days. I will definitely use them for ALL my future plumbing needs! The Northern Virginia community should definitely support this business. Courteous, helpful, honest, fair, responsive, customer service oriented. Ask yourself: When was the last time I could honestly say these things about a plumber??

Water heater went out on Saturday evening. After reviewing Angie's List for potential contractors, Able Plumbing stood out among them all (for my area) as reasonable,honest, trustworthy & competitive . I called an left a message assuming I would not hear back until Monday morning but surprisingly enough not only did they call back Sunday morning, they sent a technician the same day!. Able Plumbing's prices are reasonable and additionally they offer discounts for military and senior citizens. The office receptionist described in detail what would be included in their price and all work the technician would complete. So, the technician, Henrri, showed up with the new water heater and began the process of removing the old unit. During the removal process he noted that my water heater was a LP gas model but a natural gas model had been sent as a replacement. Henrri apologized about the mix up and worked diligently to contact the company owner and supplier to obtain the correct type to be installed. As it was Sunday, their suppliers (or warehouse) was not open so the install would not be possible until Monday morning (first thing). Monday morning came and sure enough the supplier delivered the new unit first thing in the morning and Henrri arrived promptly to begin installation. Unfortunately Henrri soon discovered the unit delivered was another natural gas model. He took it upon himself to travel directly to the warehouse and obtain the correct type of water heater(LP gas) after visually inspecting the unit! Once Henrri returned the installation went without a hitch. There are problems and snafu's in every project, but with this one, every step of the way, both the technician and Able Plumbing's administrative department kept us updated and informed. They also provided an additional (unrequested) discount for our troubles! I could not be happier with Able Plumbing and give them my highest rating. Able Plumbing's customer service is outstanding, providing personalized information and details during both the initial contact and negotiations as well as during the problem resolution. Able Plumbing's technical expertise, attention to detail and professionalism is SECOND TO NONE. Henrri's knowledge and work ethic prevented him from providing something less than perfection over the entire project. I am GREATLY appreciative of the extra effort and dedication provided by Able Plumbing overall. This company has EARNED my respect and loyalty, ALL my plumbing work will now be directed to them.

Overall it went very well. Valarie scheduled my appointment for the same day which was a Saturday. Henry was on-time and towards the earlier part of the 4-6PM estimate. Initially it seemed as if Henry wanted to steer me towards replacing my water heater without much troubleshooting but as soon as I told him my bell was leaking he started working on replacing it. I was told the cost upfront and it was exactly what I ended up paying. It seemed just a tad bit pricey but then again I didn?t get other estimates to compare to. Henry and Valarie were both very professional and even if I did pay a few $ more it was worth it for a hassle and drama free experience. I will likely use them in the future and I would recommend them.

Danilo arrived on time as promised, on the same day that I called for service. He performed the toilet repair in less than 30 minutes. He did an outstanding job; new parts, great service, very polite. Excellent plumbers.

I was in the process of doing a kitchen remodel and needed a gas line removed and disconnected. I also needed a shower cartridge replaced due to leaks. Again, I was very impressed with Able Plumbing plumbers and their service desk representative. They were prompt, courteous, and their knowledge and professionalism was outstanding! I was kept informed during these repairs and they cleaned up after the jobs were completed. They answered all my questions. I was very pleased with the work done and plan to use Able Plumbing for any future plumbing needs. Thank you very much Rob!

All the administrative details were handled quickly and correctly. Two hours after I called the tech arrived and called ahead. He delivered the new tank and all needed installation materials. He was very polite and helpful. Where I have an issue is the cost. The AO Smith tank is a very low end "builders grade tank". Retail price could not be over $400, but yet the total cost was $1462. This tank has a 6 year warranty which is really worthless. For the same price you can go to Home Depot and get a Rheem with a 12 year warranty and wireless capability. This is the total cost installed and delivered. I believe Able is a very good company, however this pricing could be a bit more realistic. Keep in mind that the installation took place on Sunday quickly and without any problems.

Professional knowledgeable plumber with 10 yrs experience. I called on Saturday morning for emergency type repair. Valerie took my call and couldn't have been more helpful or understanding of my situation -- main sewer line backed up into my house. Scheduled spot for 9-10 Sunday morning. Plumber called ahead, arrived on time, explained the problem, solution and work he would do along with price. Excellent all around. He also gave me estimate to install toilet that was 50% less than another company! I highly recommend them and they are one of few plumbers who both schedules short notice on weekend and works weekends. A++

disposal went fine toilet was slow and the cyphon jet was clogged with calcium deposit--said they couldnt clear or fix so I needed a new toilet for 600 dollars. I tool a hangar and cleared it myself--works fine. UNSAT that a plumber cant fix a toilet or at least try to but can only replace. This makes me doubt this companies honesty and I do not recommend you use them.

Our call to Able Plumbing was promptly answered by Valerie. She was ABLE to provide a rough estimate of the cost of the job. (Other companies refused to offer an estimate until technicians arrived.) We were pleased with not just same-day service but arrival at our home just hours after our initial call. Mary in Able's office called as the workers were en route to our home. Technicians Brian and Henry were efficient and meticulous as they flushed our aging hot water heater while checking all of the valves and connections. They also determined that the hoses to the washer were corroding. Replacement hoses were stocked on their truck so they could immediately install the new equipment. We also appreciated the overall water system advice that Brian and Henry offered as they did the job in our home.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the plumbers and the quality their quality of work. The arrived within 30 minutes, quickly diagnosed the issue, and provided me an estimate on the spot. Bryan and Henry explained all the steps they were taking during the process, and they completed the work within a few hours. The cost was very fair considering the difficulty of the job, and I will definitely use them again.

The installation went very smoothly. We provided the garbage disposal. Able plumbing would have, but we chose to buy our own. They were scheduled to come in the morning, however I received a phone call that there was an emergency job that had to come first. That was fine. I requested a call prior to their arrival and they did just that. We're very pleased with the courtesy and professionalism. Valerie was a pleasure to deal with when we scheduled, and Henry did a great job.

Quality work, fast, pricing up front with no suspires. Henrii did an outstanding job. Will recommend to anyone and everyone who needs plumbing or sump pump work. A++ Thank you.

Valerie at Able Plumbing's office handled our mid-morning Christmas week emergency phone call quickly, and it was a pleasure to deal with her. She gave us a quote on the phone for the pump replacement, parts and labor ($1,275 before 5% military or senior discount), and had two of their plumbers out to our house two and a half hours later. Brian and Rob from Able Plumbing responded, and were very knowledgeable, professional, and personable, patiently explaining what they had to do. At my request, they also changed the old wall-mounted cheap washing machine faucets (one of which would not cut off). The extra fee for the parts and labor in changing the faucets and reconfiguring and replacing the pipes to match the new ejector pump were reasonable. They did an excellent job which took several hours, and cleaned up beautifully after they finished. I believe that when it comes to complex home services like plumbing, you get what you pay for if you are fortunate enough to find an excellent service provider. I could not be more pleased and I plan on using Able Plumbing for my future plumbing needs.

If you're looking for honesty, integrity, promptness and politeness, full explanations of the work needed, and the highest quality of workmanship, this is your company. Okay, they're not cheap. But we've paid more per hour to plumbers in the past who obviously didn't know what they were doing and tried to talk us into having work done that we didn't need, with bad results. The only way to get cheap, high quality plumbing work done is if you have an uncle who'll do it for you!

The issue was discovered when the toilet started leaking at the tank, causing it to empty and refill over and over. Since it was late on Sunday night, I decided to turn off the water to the toilet. When I turned the valve, it shut off, but began dripping at the valve. I put a pan under the valve to catch the water and contacted Able the next morning. They were able to send someone out that afternoon and stopped the dripping, though they recommended replacing the old valve/cutoff. They also fixed the leak in the toilet, which was minor and easy to fix in the short term. Two days later I was able to arrange for the condo to have the water turned off and they returned and quickly replaced the valve and the old supply line, giving me great peace of mind. I had asked them to fix the toilet as well, and they were able to quickly replace the leaky system so that I wouldn't have to keep adjusting it so it didn't leak and refill constantly. The entire fix took less than an hour, including cutting off the water, bleeding the lines and replacing the valve. I really appreciate the ease of setting up the appointment and their punctuality. The cost above represents BOTH the quick fix the first day and the final fix today. This is the second time I have used Able (the first was for a gas line) and both times the professionals they sent out were helpful, explaining what they were doing and why. Thank you so much Bryan and Alan!

Very helpful with scheduling (appointments were available within 24-48 hours) and showed up right on time. Diagnosed and fixed leaky shower, which required opening a wall, running tests, and ultimately caulking the tub/shower area. It had been improperly caulked/sealed by a contractor when the bathroom was renovated. I appreciated Rob's approach of opening the wall near the shower instead of the ceiling of the living room below where water had leaked. Able also fixed a running toilet by replacing flapper, fill valve, and supply line. They diagnosed that in addition to running due to a worn flapper, the tank was filling up too slowly. Both the shower and toilet repairs were done within 1.5 hours. Rob explained everything he was doing and gave me good advice In areas where I had questions. He explained all the charges with a detailed invoice. This is my second time using Able (they replaced a lavatory faucet a couple of years ago). Both experiences were positive; plumbers are pleasant to deal with and very professional. I will use them again and recommend them to neighbors.

Henry and Brian did a great job. This was a tedious process that they tackled with no problems. They were more than qualified and did a great job.

We discovered a pipe leaking in the basement, placed a call to Able, and within 90 minutes they were here. Can't ask for more.

Turns out, there wasn't a problem (I think) but I needed to let others know how amazing Able Plumbing was - Mary especially. She responded quickly - we contacted them yesterday and were able to get someone out today. She was polite and friendly, even offering some advice on how to fix the issue ourselves. She's wonderful! Because of her advice, she gave me a warm fuzzy that this company was not trying to rip us off with stupid, unnecessary solutions. She was kind and up front and just very nice - extremely professional in an industry in which I don't always find that to be the case.

Perfect. Able Plumbing did not charge to come out to the house to look and to give estimate. They were flexible with an installation date and with my being offf work. They said a 1-day job and they were here punctual at 9AM and finished at 2:30PM. They tested all 5 toilets and took me around to inspect each one. They explained, in plain English how the NEW toilet differs from the OLD toilet; I looked inside the water holding tank and got a clear understanding of the updated parts that make this NEW toilet work. No debris left in the House. Very clean and removed all old toilet parts. Perfect caulking around the base of the toilet......That's important to the "eye". No leaks. Lots of folks in neighboring area have used this Provider. They were open and shared information on the Brand name of the new toilet with me so I could Google it. Excellent quality. Replaced ALL 5 water shut off valves that have leaked over the past 20 yrs. That's important to replace with a new toilet.

Despite two visits to our house (with two plumbers) the leak was not diagnosed. We called another plumber who diagnosed it quickly and said it was not difficult to find or fix. Able Plumbing missed/ignored evidence that water was leaking from above into the wall. Instead, they tore our carpet to look under the floor. They should have lifted carpet from from corner of the room but instead tore it down the middle so that it could not be repaired. Also recommended expensive removal of cabinets to cut giant whole in the wall. Luckily, after the carpet fiasco, we got a second opinion.

I am very impressed with Able Plumbing. They called about 15 minutes before they arrived. They were very professional and answered each and everyone of my questions. I tend to ask lots of questions as I like to learn what they are doing and why. Everything was cleaned up and looked like they were not even there doing work. They even gave me an estimate on some other work. I plan on calling them the next time I have a plumbing issue.

As in our previous experience with Able Plumbing Inc., things went perfectly. All of the staff were extremely pleasant, easy to deal with, and they went to lengths to keep us advised of the progress on this job. The repair tech, Brian, even took one of the toilet lids with him when he went to purchase the new toilets in order to get the color match of the replacements just right. And it worked ! The installation was completed right on schedule and at the estimated cost. Both work sites were left spotless...probably cleaner than when they started. : )) I recommended Able Plumbing based on the first work then did for us, and now after this experience I'm more than ready to recommend this fine professional team to anyone needing plumbing service.
