Description of Work: They installed 4 recessed lights in our basement ceiling. We paid $385 for their special offer for the lights plus the installation. The coupon included 4 very basic style lights that would have been difficult to change out in the future and were a type where bulb changing would also prove difficult. We had to pay an extra $115 for an upgraded style, but overall we were very happy with their service.

Description of Work: Brad installed 6 recessed lights and dropped two wires to dimmer switches. One light was over a staircase which was crazy scary. He was a great problem solver and a worked very hard to make everything the way we wanted it. Will definitely go to these guys again.

Description of Work: I upgraded the "cans" in which the lights go for a total of $116. They designed the way that the lights would be installed and it was an excellent design. The clean-up they performed included vacuuming. Very polite, pleasant, and I am delighted with the results. I would use them again. Rated by Joan Feld

Description of Work: The work they did from a craftsmanship standpoint fine, but the overall job was less than stellar. The crew was inadequately prepared for the job - e.g. not enough tarps to cover floor/furniture, no shop vac, no broom/dust pan, etc... as a result, they left the space a mess that we had to clean up ourselves. The quality of the work does seem to be solid, but judging the job as a whole, I was disappointed in the experience and would not use this company again.

Description of Work: We needed a new attic fan so used an Angie's coupon for an installation. They first went through the house to do a general electrical inspection and made a few suggestions for grounding. Then, they went to install the attic fan. A few hours later they came down and explained that they had problems removing the old fan and tore shingles off the roof. He attempted to re-install the shingles and tar around them but explained he wasn't convinced it was a good job. He then called another peer to come out and remove the old shingles and flashing and correctly install new. That added 50% more to the original cost so the savings of the coupon was erased. In the end, we have a new attic fan that works and have no leaks but the install didn't go as smoothly as expected.

Description of Work: They were a great! Had two contractors at my home and they replaced all ceiling light fixtures and wired/installed two ceiling fans. I don't remember exact amount as it was an Angie's Deal.

Description of Work: I first used PHX when I had to have my kitchen ceiling light replaced and they made such a good impression on me that when the attic fan deal came up, I jumped on it. Charles was prompt and explained everything to me. When he installed the attic fan, he also took a look at my roof (not that doing so was his job) and let me know that it all seemed to be fine. He was extremely professional. It was also great working with the office to set up my appointment. I ultimately went with a fan that has a lifetime warranty, which was more expensive but I think it will be worthwhile. It has not yet been very long since the installation and nor has it been extremely hot so I don't know the impact the installation will have. I will definitely use PHX again in the future.

Description of Work: The water testing was completed quickly and they took time to explain what the results meant. Re: the additional work I had them do, they were unable to completely solve the leakage problem on one of the two toilets, even when I had them come back.

Description of Work: they repaired a 3 way switch so that outside light worked.i addition ,they replaced defective wire segment & repaired outlet box so that it has a true ground for neutrality. very reasonable& provided clear explanation of job elements. jvd
