+ 4 moreIt was a fantastic experience! We got weekly reports with photographs of the work being done. At least once a week we talked with Owner, Tim Welsh or John Thomas, his Project Manager. We drove up only once in the middle of the four-month repair to have an on-ground meeting. Other than that, we relied totally on Tim Welsh or John Thomas to make recommendations and repairs. When you can trust, really trust, the providers of service it is an assurance that is worth everything. The Welsh Construction Company deserves to be recognized and appreciated for the extraordinary lengths that people went to in order to provide us with a beautiful, safe, and one-of-a-kind home.
Description of Work: We bought a 3,000 sq. ft.home in Virginia that virtually had been vacant for more than four years. The house had "good bones" but all the electrical, plumbing, and operational systems had to be checked out and repaired. The interior and exterior of the house had to be painted. The roof and soffits needed repair. A large raised bed garden area required renovation, parts of the stove had to be replaced. At the time we were living in North Carolina and we didn't want to move until the house was livable. The previous owners had painted every room a different primary color. Not only were the colors jarring, but the paint job was sloppy and there were runs of extra paint that had dripped down the walls. It took four months from start to finish. We gave Tim Welsh the key to the house and negotiated a list of things to be done.

+ 0 moreI have a remodel project for a bathroom we would like done. The Lady who I talked to sounded very professional and helpful. They said my project was to small for them and they were booked with work into the middle of winter. I asked if they could just come out and give me an estimate. She said their estimator was booked as well but gave me some numbers of carpenters in the area as to which none have called back. Love their website and look like they will do beautiful work, but if your remodel is not large I guess they're not interested.

+ 1 moreThe workmen were excellent. Welsh contracts out various services and, of course, tacks on their finders fee. I am able to find my own workmen and find their charges to be more than I can afford.
Description of Work: Finished garage, replaced tub in bathroom with claw foot tub, built 2 closets in bedroom and various other assorted tasks.

+ 0 moreThey provided excellent service. They were extremely flexible with their pricing in order to make it within our price range. They really did a great job. They provided us with a weekly progress meeting so you knew where things were going with the project. When concerns arose the owner would personally show up and handle the situation or answer any questions that we may have had. They were considerate to our neighbors as to contact them and let them know we were having major work done. We have had them pencil us in for future work to be done.
Description of Work: We had our bathroom renovated.
