They thought I needed to replace it, that kind of stuff. They were just giving me opinion. Our kitchen table has cabinets in the counter top and attached to that is a higher level and then there's two other small pieces. That's four or five. They did a really god job. They made the appointment and came when they said they were going to com. He did what he needed to do. We talked about it and it was fine. They delivered the service that they sold. They accommodated me with what I wanted timeline. I will use them again if I had a need.

The people on the phone for booking the appointment, they are very accommodating. The fellow that showed up and I think his name is Marco, he put the booties on in his feet so you know that he didn't get any dirt on the floors. He did a great job and explained everything to me. He did the kitchen and the bathroom for one price. He did everything he was supposed to.

Mauricio came this evening (Friday evening!) with the equipment required to do the marble buffet top and it all looks great. We're really happy with the service and would recommend them.
Description of Work: Trey cleaned, sealed and buffed our tile mudroom, laundry room and three bathroom floors as well as the shower stalls and the tile bathtub surround. Mauricio resurfaced, sealed and buffed the marble top of an old buffet that's been in my family and really needed some TLC.

Due to a GPS glitch, they were running a little late, which they promptly called me about - to make sure I knew they'd not arrive exactly at the appointment time - almost unheard of quality in the service industry! Both men were very pleasant & very professional, first walking me through the process they'd be using, then proceeding accordingly. Their work was excellent - very happy with the results! My bathroom floors look brand new again! I highly recommend this company for your tile needs!

 + 1 moreMauricio was punctual, pleasant and worked quietly and efficiently the entire day. Even though he worked throughout the entire home, he kept his work area extremely clean and organized. The surfaces look fantastic - almost better than when it was first installed.
Description of Work: Mauricio came to our home and walked through the house to determine what work was required. He was prompt and reasonable with the estimate. He returned to clean, seal and caulk or very large marble shower. He also repaired all of the natural holes that existed in our travertine throughout the entire home.

 + 4 moreWe were satisfied with Trey Brocke's work on the granite countertop cleaning and sealing in our kitchen. The work did not take that long. Trey was very cooperative. Mauricio Marmol came later for an estimate to clean, recolor, and seal the grout in our utility room and two bathrooms, caulk where needed, and to do the Wood Armor Sandless Wood Floor Renewal in our foyer and kitchen areas. Trey did an excellent job on the master and middle baths and utility room. He worked hard and was helpful when we had questions. The shower floor grout didn't clean as we hoped, but Mauricio explained that the only way to get it to its original condition would be to remove the old grout and apply new grout. Mauricio is outstanding and really wants to please the customer. The cleaning phase of the wood floors could have been a little more thorough along the floor area next to our bar counter. There is about an inch wide area with a light black line along the length of the bar. Overall we really noticed the difference on our wood floors after the application of the glossy finish. Our experience with Mauricio and Trey was a good one. Cons: Mauricio said that he would give us $50 for referring and getting a job with our next-door neighbor. I forgot to remind him, and he apparently didn't remember when he totaled the amount due. Also I had to order a new Hepa filter for our vacuum as Mauricio asked to use our vacuum sweeper rather than his to clean the wood floor and the sizable dark residue under the mat to the kitchen area rug.

The counters had not been professionally sealed since installation approximately twelve years ago. He told us our counters were in excellent condition and I watched him work. The work was neat, precise, and thorough. Our counters look brand new and we would use this company again for granite cleaning and sealing.

 + 2 moreEmployee arrived on time, and carefully scraped and sealed counter tops. I was a bit disappointed because I thought he/they might sand the surface a bit. But they just scraped surface with a kitchen scraper, wiped it down, and wiped on a sealant. It was something I could have done on my own. It took less than an hour. After the guy left I found at least one patch of food residue that had been left after he sealed. He did an OK job, but it was just less than I expected.

 + 0 moreTo say that my kitchen floor now looks "like new" would be an understatement. I have never seen it look as good as it does now. That's partly because it wasn't sealed properly when "new," but I can't imagine it ever looking this nice -- even if it had been installed and properly sealed yesterday. It looks and feels clean for the first time in its life, and can't believe how easy it is to keep it that way. Without adding the slightest be of new grout to what was there, its color, texture, and evenness in relation to the tile are hard to believe. Sir Grout delivered a first class service that I was lucky to discover. I would bring them back in a nano-second -- certainly for any stone floor in my home, but probably for hardwood floors as well. I was a pleasure working with Mauricio, and the results are worth every dime I paid for it.
Description of Work: My travertine kitchen floor was installed unprofessionally with the contractor failing -- at minimum -- to seal its surface. After less than a year it looked faded and dirty whether it had been cleaned a week or an hour ago. Beyond everyday appearance issues, anything I set down on it for more than an hour or so, like a bucket of water or a damp towel, left what I'd loosely call a "stain" that may as well have been part of the swirl pattern of stone's surface -- because no amount of mopping, scrubbing, or even steaming could remove it. The grout was discolored and seemed to have "sunk" below the tile surface, allowing food and dust to settle between the tiles faster than I could vacuum and mop to remove them. As dissatisfied as I was, I had no experience with stone floors and did not understand the problem except that it seemed to need re-grouting at minimum. When I came across "Sir Grout" in a neighborhood advertising pamphlet I gave them a call. They sent a representative named Mauricio Marmol who patiently educated me as to what I was up against, described the surface-repair and sealing service that he could provide, and assured me that it would make all of the above problems disappear for the indefinite future. I was not just convinced but impressed by his understanding of both the problem and the solution. I gave him a deposit of about 20% of his estimate and scheduled the work. Mauricio gave me a heads-up call a day or so before the agreed date, showed right on time with his assistant (Trey Brocke), set up his equipment, and got to work. The only familiar device in his equipment repertoire was what looks like a "buffing machine" but much heavier-duty with a very powerful motor. It distributed fluids onto the floor followed by a "diamond" grit buffing pad, which I assume are proprietary. He worked it across carefully measured floor segments -- maybe 2' x 6' sections -- covering each in a closely-timed sequence followed by a wet-vac that left a flat "matted" texture on the surface. It took several hours to cover the entire floor (about 240 sq ft), including moving the refrigerator, "hand buffing" the corners and cabinet recesses, and hand & knees work for as long as it took on each of my "stains." These guys were diligent, conscientious, focused, and attentive from start to finish, and at least as concerned as I was about any potential "missed spot" visible from one angle but not another. The final steps of their process removed all dried fluids from the floor surface, which was buffed to a fine natural semi-gloss look

He was very efficient and the service took way less time than I had anticipated.We also have a granite counter top on the wet bar in the family room which is attached to the kitchen. He even did that counter top at no charge which I was not expecting at all since it was additional work over and above my voucher. We chatted a bit while waiting for the first coat to sit for 10 minutes and a little bit during the whole process. - what a nice man - just a lovely person. The counter tops look great and this was overall an exceptionally great experience. I would highly recommend using this company. I will definitely use them again!!!

HE GAVE US AN ESTIMATE, AT OUR REQUEST, FOR THE CLEANING AND COLOR SEALING OR THE TILE IN TWO BATHROOMS. BASED ON THE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND THE ESTIMATE, THE WORK WAS SCHEDULED. IT WAS ESTIMATED TO TAKE A FULL 8 HOURS OF WORK. UNFORTUNATELY, WE GOT A CALL AN HOUR AFTER THE EMPLOYEE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE SAYING HE HAD SOMETHING HE WOULD HAVE TO DO BEFORE HE GOT HERE AND WOULD BE LATE. HE CALLED AGAIN AND SAID HE WOULD STILL BE LATER. FINALLY, AT 11 AM, AND NOT WANTING WORKERS IN OUR HOME UNTIL 9-10 PM AT NIGHT WE CALLED THE COMPANY AND CANCELLED THE JOB. THE GM WAS POLITE AND APOLOGETIC. WE WERE REFUNDED OUR DEPOSIT WITH A CHECK BY MAIL WITHIN A WEEK. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT A COMPANY WHO DID ONE JOB SO WONDERFULLY WOULD PERFORM SO POORLY ON A SECOND SCHEDULED JOB. WE HAD THE WORK EVENTUALLY DONE BY ANOTHER ANGIE'S LIST COMPANY. BECAUSE THEY WERE SO UNRELIABLE FOR THE SECOND JOB, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
