Description of Work: They inspected our chimney. We had concerns that it was causing a water leak in our house.

Description of Work: They cleaned and serviced my antique wood stove, stovepipe, and chimney. Their work was clean, and they were the first to actually lubricate the stove door to make it easy to open and close. They explained about criteria for determining how often to have the stove cleaned. Great advice and great service.

Description of Work: They saved me literally thousands of dollars by giving me an honest estimate of what needed to be done, and more importantly, what did not need to be done. The previous company bid close to $3K to solve the same problem. Obviously, the previous company bid more work than what needed. This is the second time I have used Prouty's, and I was just as happy with the work they originally completed.

Description of Work: They replaced the liner of the furnace flue. Initially they inspected the flue as there seemed to be a drafting problem. It turned out that the flue had degraded and collapsed in portions that caused it to not draft properly. Prouty's was very quick to evaluate the problem and get the repairs done. I am very happy with their service and professionalism.

Description of Work: Prouty's performed a chimney inspection and cleaned out one of two fireplaces. I was working at home and in the middle of a teleconference when they arrived. They were very professional and understanding, and didn't disturb my work. Their cleanup went smooth and left no trace. We now can safely enjoy a warm fire just in time for the snow.

Description of Work: Video scan the chimney liner for defects, but could not deliver the video to customer in a form that would open. Excellent work and service. I will use Prouty again without hesitation.

Description of Work: Arrived on time on the day stated and were very professional. After they left you wouldn't know they had cleaned the chimney - no mess! Went the extra to take a photo of the top of the chimney for me where the furnace flue pipe had been damaged. Would use Prouty again and would recommend them to friends.

Description of Work: Greg came out to check out my chimney chase cover and cap. My chimney (stucco) started to leak and I needed to get it checked out. Greg climbed up and checked the chase cap and said that it looked fine. He then checked the flashing and told me that he believed he knew how the water was coming in. He took pictures and sent them to me as well. He recommended that I contact a "stucco" specialist to take a look at the chimney as the flashing method is different for this than regular brick or siding. I appreciated Greg's honesty he told me that he would love to replace the caps but there is nothing wrong with them. I have since called a stucco specialist and hope that he too will be as honest as Greg. I wouldn't hesitate to call Greg in the future when my caps do need to be replaced or repaired.
