LC Builders offers excavating services, directional boring (trenchless technology) services, and water and sewer services.
Services we don't offer
LC Builders does not offer small inside plumbing jobs. We are also not a "building" company (as in home repairs or remodeling).
LC Builders is the epitome of professionalism and integrity. When my house started to display the symptoms of a clogged sewer line, I scratched my head and began to search for a reputable plumbing service. I called two different companies for estimates, and was shocked to discover that it was going to cost me more than $12,000 to get everything fixed. I had almost resigned myself to writing a really large check, but did a bit of deeper "googling" and came across LC Builders. I decided to roll the dice, and to try this one last company. I called the next morning to describe my problem (and request an estimate), and Ronny arrived that same day in order to take a look at my house to determine the extent of my nearly catastrophic sewer line. He was friendly, courteous, and exceedingly patient with me. I never once felt rushed or pushed into making a hasty decision. In fact, he spent a good hour discussing various options with me as he ran a camera down through my main sewer line and discovered a tangle of roots. When the time for an estimate arrived, I cringed inwardly -- I was expecting, even hoping, for a number right around the $10,000 mark. But Ronny surprised me by telling me that he thought my line looked pretty good, apart from that single root-infested section, and that he should be able to replace just a portion of the line. He gave me an estimate of $4000, and let me know that (in a worst-case scenario, if the entire sewer line were rusted beyond repair) he'd be able to replace the whole line for $8000. I shook his hand, and the nightmare was over. From start to completion, the job was finished by the end of the following day (on a Saturday, no less). My final invoice? Less than $4000. Throughout the entirety of this endeavor, LC Builders was unequivocally professional, prompt, and friendly. But that's not why I'm writing this review. In this day and age, I guess it's easy enough to expect professional service, but the same cannot be said for integrity and honesty. Rather than trying to "cash in" on a potential customer, I felt like Ronny approached the situation with me -- the customer -- in mind rather than focusing on yet another paycheck. And in my book, that's what matters. If you're lucky enough to live around Northern Virginia or Maryland (and unlucky enough to have a sewer line problem), LC Builders is the only company I'd recommend calling.
Description of Work: I had a clogged sewer line that was causing both havoc and water (in equal amounts) to gurgle up from unexpected places. I'd flush the toilet and listen to the shower drain as it gurgled up water.

I contacted other companies and landed on LC Builders for their prompt availability and pricing. They came out the same day I called to give me a free estimate. They concluded I needed a water line replacement. It was explained to me that this job would typically be around $4,500.00, but LC Builders would only charge me $2,250.00. All of the other companies I called previously were substantially more expensive! LC Builders replaced my broken water line with 1" K-Copper pipe. The crew was very professional, organized, knowledgeable and clean. They were able to complete my job in one day with the inspection the following day (which was fantastic since I have an infant at home). The office staff was friendly and prompt with all questions and concerns and paperwork. I could not recommend a better company!
Description of Work: The main water line to house was leaking.

I called two different companies for estimates, and was shocked to discover that it was going to cost me more than $12,000 to replace my old cast iron sewer line. I have tenants in the property and home warranty in place to cover any plumbing related issues. The home warranty company sent two vendors and although the issue was plumbing related, they denied the claim based on the assessment of the situation by the vendors. According to the assessment, the job can cost around $10-12k. I asked those vendors to directly provide me with the estimates and followed up with them several times also but never received the estimates. Meanwhile the leak was causing a bad smell in the house and I was concerned that may cause some health issues and wanted to get the needed repairs done as soon as possible. I contacted a few other vendors who were recommended to me by friends and experienced the same scenario...they come to look at the issue and then tell me they will send a written assessment report and estimate of repairs which never happens. I was very hopeful of one other vendors with whom I had worked with previously and who had done a good job of resolving some other plumbing issues at the same property, but even they didn't get back with me after their initial visit. One of the vendors told me it is a very big job and will require lot of digging in the yard and the whole job will cost around $12k. However, the view of my tenant and I was different. We didn't think the yard needed to be dug up etc. and feared that the vendors were trying to take advantage of the situation. Four weeks went past and no luck in finding a vendor who will be honest and actually do the job too. I then changed my search criteria and instead of searching for plumbing vendors, I searched for the sewer services vendors. LC Builders was one of the two vendors that showed up in that search. I contacted both and decided to go with LC Builders as I impressed by the speed of their response and courtesy of their staff. I had left a voice mail at night and got a call from them first thing in the morning. They were able to schedule the initial visit the same day and without mention of any upfront charges or asking me for credit card etc. They never stopped impressing me, I found them to be the most honest vendors and very considerate of my tenants needs. The estimate was the most reasonable compared with what we had been told by many other vendors. They even scheduled the actual work on Sunday as I wanted my tenant to be present when the work was performed. They not only accepted the credit card as the payment method but also gave option to pay only half on the day they did the work and then take two weeks to pay the rest. They completed the work in one day. The owner Leah and the manager Ronny even worked with my home warranty company and by some miracle convinced them to reimburse me up to $1k of the cost which I still have to submit for and see how that goes... I can?t say enough good things about this company. I will most certainly will work with them in the future and recommend them without any reservations at all.
