I was referred to them by a neighbor. They do a great job and I will continue to use them in the future.

Horrible experience with Lawnboy Lawn Services. STAY AWAY. First and foremost, the customer services experience was one of the most disappointing I have experienced to date. Not only was my contact standoffish and rude, they do not return phone calls and worse...they do not stand behind their work or how their reputation proceeds them. He made it quite clear that once his work was done, it was no longer up to them to make the customer happy. They were hired to install sod in the backyard which was poorly done with zero attention to detail with corners cut to do the basic work necessary. Beyond that they didn't even water after so the grass died within 24 hours due to the heat. If you want a trust worthy company with good customer service and attention to detail - DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Waste of money and work needs to be redone which didn't bother them at all when this was brought up to them. STAY AWAY.

It is on going - going well, if I have a problem, they are responsive and solve it.

Lawnboy did mow our lawn weekly, but that was the extent of the weekly or biweekly service we contracted with them. I phoned Lawnboy, spoke with his rep & expressed my dissatisfaction & asked that he return my call; he never did.

They are located in Virginia. As of lately, I haven't been too impressed. I tried to get them to do some aerating of the yard, my wife tried to get them out, so she went back and forth with them. They wouldn't commit, and they finally said that they wouldn't be out. This will be the last year that we will use their services.

David Nichols and his team at Lawnboy are professional, timely and have a sense of urgency in accomplishing required repairs and improvements. David gave us a solid list of options for our required repairs, and didn't force us or even pressure us to accept one option over others. While typical contractors or service companies might push for the more Expensive fix - David talked to us about the pros and cons with each repair, and in a few cases, suggested the less expensive options. His team worked around the fact that we have a dog - and 2 very young children. While service companies often take their time to make repairs to ensure a quality install of work, his team both made outstanding quality repairs to our drainage issues, and did so in a timely fashion to allow our dog and kids access to our back yard. For our fence moving - David worked with local suppliers to find the right and exact matching pieces to extend and recapture property that was not originally fenced in. A simple Home Depot run and quick install would have showed that this home owner buying and installing the wrong size and incompatible fence. Best of all - When they left - they did so as if the property magically improved - leaving No debris - No ugly signs of land disruption - and reseeded areas that were disrupted. I cannot say enough about this local small business, the owner and his team. The outstanding work they completed is equal to the level of professionalism and tact. Will I use again? Forever Lawnboy will be my lawn and land improvements team!

For the most part, reliable and a job well done. There were a few times their equipment had issues which resulted in not being able to provide weekly service. They don't have much of a "bench" so if a truck or mower breaks, your service may be interrupted. All in all they provided service 95% of the time reliably

They were quick to respond, easy to deal with and took credit card payments online.

Lawn Boy has done a very good job for us. I was not able to do this work last year, cause of an operation. I have an ongoing contract with to this day. Weldon

they fit me into their already busy schedule to do some snow removal for my home

I had to keep calling the owner because his crew never left material that they were here on site to do the work (weed control/seeding). The only silver lining was the work I had done to my retaining wall; he had a crew come in and level it out so it lines up nicely now. I wasn't too happy with TruGreen so i called this company. probably not going to renew my contract, i'll find another service.

The service was great. They left the area great before they left. They could not have done anything differently. I would recommend them to a friend. They did my ongoing lawn service. I have a ongoing contract with them.

I reached out to Dave at Lawnboy earlier this week in desperate need of leaf removal and he had a crew here in 2 days to get my entire yard cleared of leaves. They were prompt and got the job done quickly. My yard looks great!! I would definitely recommend these guys for leaf removal and any yard work needs you have!

It went very well. We’ve worked with them quite a lot now and they’re great. We keep using them because they are local and they are a few doors away from us, and so it’s incredibly convenient. They are excellent. They’re very personable, very friendly and polite. We will definitely use them again in the future.

This is our first year using Lawnboy and the service has been great so far. Invoicing is monthly and the service provided has been exactly what I needed. The price is comparable to other services we have used in the past.

He did what he said what he going to do but he was more expensive then the competition. I used him last year and then I dropped them. They did what they said what they were going to do which is they mowed my land and trim the edges. I think he need to improve on the price because he is more expensive then the competition. He was $100 more then the competition. The quality was good.

This is an update to my previous "A" rating. After using them several times I have learned they are extremely slow to reply (takes about a week to get responses) and they have had to come back a few times to correct minor oversights in the work. So as a result, I'm currently looking for a new company to use. Just thought I should write an update.

David was extremely competent, polite, and arrived on time - we are definately planning on having LawnBoy provide additional landscaping services in the future!

Lawnboy has been good. We just started using them. I don't have a lot to say about it yet. It's just convenient and nice. I had some critiques but he was very good to fix that and be attentive to it.

They did a very nice job. Hope to work with Dave this season.

Team did a great job. Very responsive when we called for estimate and once we selected them to do work for us. Work quickly done and everything cleaned up afterwards. Very happy with work done and will use them again.

When my mower broke last summer I decided to get a lawn service rather than buy a new one. Dave Nichols came out and provided an estimate for the service and we agreed on weekly grass mowing thru early November. They did a good job but many times due to summer heat (not his fault of course) there was barely anything to cut. His crew was polite and did their job as expected, nothing over the top but satisfactory. They did break a piece of my wooden fence once but promptly came out and replaced the broken board. Having someone cut my lawn is just not for me but they should be considered if you require their services.

They did a great job. They were a great group of young professionals who seemed to care very much about the quality of the work they provided.

We live in an end-unit town home, and I was looking for annual spring clean up, mulching, removal of a dead shrub and trimming. I sent an email request, and Dave was at my home 2 days later to provide an estimate. He was very thorough and made several great suggestions. His crew appeared about 2 weeks later [we had some bad weather that delayed things a bit] to do the work. Due to a miscommunication, not all of the work was completed that day, but he sent the crew back the next good weather day to complete the work. This was a very small job, but Dave and his crew did a spectacular job. My mulch beds have never looked so lovely. I think I drove Dave crazy with several emails and requests for small changes......he never lost his patience....was the ultimate professional and southern gentleman. His prices are slightly high, but you definitely get what you pay for. He is definitely a landscaper to the stars, but makes us "little people" feel equally important and delivers to the same high-quality standard. Thank you, Dave, for the beautiful work you did and for your patience with me!!

I loved them. They were great. They did more than they said they would do. I saw the coupon on your site and I called and asked because they said they did tree trimming. I was actually home for another service call and he immediately emailed me and said "I'm actually on your street, why don't I just come by now"? He was there like in five minutes. He came over and gave me an estimate of what it would take because I have a lot of stuff in my yard. He told me get this done in the next two weeks because the weather was going to change and I said "Ok". He was there in two days and did all the work. He was wonderful. It was in the last week in September. It cost about four hundred dollars. He trimmed every tree I had. He removed every dead item I had, and all the shrubbery- he trimmed that. I had this area that had a lot of ivy that I was trying to get rid of, and he pulled all of it up and killed off the rest of it. He does leaf removal and mulching. I just emailed him on Thursday and said I want to set up a regular service with you. I found him on Angie's List.
