BLUE SKY LANDSCAPING

Blue Sky was terrific and I would highly recomend them. They have already done multiple jobs for us - pulling out old overgrown shrubs and cleaning out flowerbeds and overgrown areas. After buying a house that had not had the half acre yard maintained at all, the yard was completely overgrown and Blue Sky came in and agreed to do the work in phases. Jim was very helpful estimating the work and helping make decisions about what to do and when. The crew lead by Eric was terrific! Hard working, professional, polite, organized and the work was better than I could have hoped for. We have now signed up for lawn service and are already planning the next work we will have them do!

For the price we paid (over average), the service was below average. We wanted weeds to be pulled, pre-emergent put down and mulch applied. The yard looked good for less than a week, when the weeds started growing again. Obviously, the weeds weren't pulled out by the roots. Would not use them again.

They've been well. I had no complaints. They've been great. We only have them since the season started; they come on regular time on Wednesday and kept their schedule. They've been nice.

They were good. They were friendly and they responded to my calls. I would recommend them. Everybody was about the same price. I am not there when they come. I will always use them if I'm not going to do it myself.

I have a very good experience with them. It costs $27 each time they mow the lawn.

We've been using Blue Sky for a few years now and have always been pleased with their service. They are reasonably priced and make every effort to accommodate us even during peak seasons. I would recommend their services if you are looking for some help with your yard.

Jim set an appointment for the estimate and showed up almost to the minutes of our scheduled time. He spent a lot of time listening to what I liked, disliked, and the scope of the work I wanted performed. He pointed out things to me that no other company had pointed out, and I really appreciated his attention to detail. I felt comfortable that I made the right decision after receiving the estimate and I was not disappointed. The crew showed up when they were supposed to and worked quietly, efficiently, and with great results. They cleaned up nicely and did not leave much if any trash behind. If I had to knock them on anything it is that they have too much business (for good reason), and I had to wait a bit to get the work done. That said, they warned me in advance that they were backed up, so I can't really fault them too much. I highly recommend Blue Sky and will continue to do business with them.

The mulch job was just excellent and the lawn service is great as well. I highly recommend them and they will be my provider for a long time.

They were very polite, but I don't know why you advertise when you are not taking new business.

They are excellent. I was totally impressed with them just the way they came out, they were very nice. I just told them I have a budget to work with and they were great.

I have a huge sloped flower bed spanning the entire length of my fenced in back yard and sculpted beds in the front and side yards. These beds have been a work of love over the past 17 years. This winter's blizzards culminated in a rapid thaw over the past month and my beds had jumped to life. Christopher's crew had their work cut out for them in cutting back the perennials that I had not been able to get to thanks to all the snows this winter. Christopher's crew stepped very carefully around and in between all the spring flowering bulbs and new growth of perennials on this sloped hill. I was amazed at how thoroughly and delicately they performed their task! They obviously knew which plants were weeds and which were supposed to stay. Previous landscapers I had hired would just mulch around the weeds. Christopher and his guys pulled those weeds! They were also supposed to clear wild growth back 2 feet away from the back of my fence. They didn't just cut the growth back, they removed the debris from this wild area. The homeowners living behind me had never cleaned out this area of their property and the landscapers I hired last year did not remove the branches they trimmed out. Blue Sky's guys pulled out old dead branches to create a 2 foot path behind my fence. I will definitely ask Blue Sky Landscaping to come back! Their professionalism is what sets them apart from all the rest! I will tell everyone I know about them!

Timely arrival of a totally pleasant, hard-working crew. Fully responsive to our requests for the way we wanted things done. Absolutely beautiful results when they were finished. Foreman Luis is especially good to work with and pleasant to converse with. This is the second year in a row we have used Blue Sky Landscaping (and Luis), both times with similarly excellent results. Neighbors asked "Who did your yard and how do we get a yard just like that?" and we were happy to tell them!

Excellent as always!!! Great job, quick, and this was a huge 40' deck. by the time I got home there was not a trace of it.

They laid out the work areas, one measuring 10' X 11' and one measuring 10' X 12'. They then removed the sod and dirt to a depth of approx. 4 inches and leveled the work surface. Anti-grass and weed fabric was laid over the entire patio area. That area was covered with foundation soil and stone. That was covered with sand and was leveled. They then started laying the paving stone. The pattern they chose met my approval. After the stone was laid the border was installed to keep the stone tight. Then all of the seams were filled with sand and was power tamped. More sand was added and re-tamped. The area around the patios was covered with soil, seeded and covered with planting soil. Since my yard was wet several ruts were made by their wheel barrels. They filled all of the ruts in with planting soil and seeded the entire area. The total project took just over 2 days. The crew was very professional and maintained a clean work area. I have used Blue Sky a couple times before for other projects and I will use them again. I highly recommend them to anyone needed yard service, landscaping, patios or tree removal. Very dependable and waste no time getting back to you to answer any questions you might have.

They are very prompt, on time, provide good service, and clean up; all the things I would expect. All together throughout the whole year I pay about $2500. They are very professional, courteous, and do the work they promise to do. I just re-subscribed for their service.

They did a great job on everything. Highly recommended. I have already contracted for lawn maintenance for 2014 season at same costs as 2013.

They are always helpful and prompt, I plan to continue to use them for weekly grass cutting as well as general landscaping.

We have used Blue Sky for ALL of our exterior gar end maintenance, replacement and landscaping services for the last 10 years. They are truly outstanding and would recommend them to all!

Blue Sky is really a fantastic company to deal with. Responsive, affordable, competent. In this day and age, it's really hard to find reliable and consistent service providers. I'm reluctant to give them such high marks as they might get too busy and I won't be able to get to them on short notice.

We are a property management firm in northern VA. Whenever we have a client with a need for landscaping or leaf removal, we ALWAYS turn to Blue Sky. They are professional, punctual, and well priced. Best of all, they do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it. In our business, there isn't any higher praise for one of our vendors than that.

I liked how the contract was a menu of options with specific prices and I could just choose the services I wanted. Payment is made over ten months in equal portions, so there are no surprises. It is a relief to have the crews show up regularly for all that I had contracted with them to do without a phone call or any follow up from me. If I had to call the office with a question. I could always reach someone by phone or e-mail. Their prices are not the lowest, but they are competitive given their know-how and reliability. I have been very impressed with this first season trial and next year I'm going to have them do it all. I expect my selections for next year's "menu" will run about $3,500.

Got the contract in few days right after I called them for quote. It was reasonable. I generally don't see the crew that much but I do see the flags with services performed. And the lawn is looking good.

We chose them because the person who came to do the estimate was amazing. He knew the name of every horrible plant in our yard and even the name of the mulch type. Incredibly professional and we liked the plants he recommended. We weren't satisfied with the original estimate which left out a few details and he came back in person to adjust. We were happy with the work, however, the bill came with items that weren't on the estimate including a disposal fee and a few plants the estimate person offered to throw in for free. We pointed this out to but no adjustments were made. We would likely use them again but insist on a much more detailed and firm estimate. The office personnel were difficult to reach on the phone but were typically responsive within 1-3 days of emails.

The team arrived mid-morning, and the leader went over what was to be done and how and where I wanted edges and the depth of clearing to be done. In the process of clearing, they uncovered one dead tree approximately 5" in dia. and asked if I wanted it removed. I said I was going to remove it, but the team leader informed me that if it was coming out, they would be happy to do it. In addition There was second dead tree about 7" in dia. that I as going to remove that he asked about, and I received the same response. With the team's help, "WE" removed both trees, and they removed them with the other debris. This job was big, the team leader and members kept me informed as to what they were doing, and asked for my input if they had a question before they proceeded to act. An outstanding effort. A beautiful day's work. A great job professionally well done.
