BLUE SKY LANDSCAPING

Lawn mowing was fine until the drought, then they skipped portions of the lawn where there was no growth. Leaf and other litter was not collected by the bagging mower.

Blue Sky has mowed our lawn for 2 yrs now. They do a great job every week. I have had 6 other landscapers over the years, but Blue Sky has been the only one who take extra care in their work. They are not in a big hurry to rush through it and get to the next yard. I have many soft wet spots in the front and back yards that vary in condition throughout the year, depending on weather. They are careful to not tear-up the grass with the mower when the ground is wet and will even clip some areas with the trimmer instead of the mower if needed. The foreman is always the same and he is great. I just used them for mulching and trimming bushes. The crew did an excellent job and the pricing was very reasonable. Even the office staff is nice and efficient.

All, Just a follow up review for all their work. I've been with the for years at the point. Office staff A++, professional, courteous, and if it is not done right, they will fix it! Would recommend them to anyone anytime.

I called for an estimate for tree removal. Their business model does not accomodate a scheduled estimate time, it is drop in at rhe convenience of their estimator and they do not accept requests to have the estimator call in advance of arrival.

They were very prompt to send a proposal/contract. And I didn't have to wait long for them to begin work after I sent the contract back. The two workers were very efficient and did just what I wanted to have done.I plan on using them each year to do the same type of work, I was very pleased all around at my interactions with everyone at the company.

Blue Sky's website clearly states that Springfield is in their service area so I sent them email requesting an estimate for mowing service. I was told that they don't provide lawn service in Springfield. So why is it included in the service area? False advertising.

They are expert at what my lawn needs and when it needs it. Work is done professionally and neatly.

Unbelievably well! We use Blue Sky for all our landscape, fertilizer, trimming, weeding, planting needs for about 15 years. They also replace sense railings and painted our screened in porch. Very fair price for the quality of the work performed. Their price for our walkway came in several thousand dollars under other competitive proposals. Would highly recommend to all.

The men arrived right on time at 9am and got straight to work. The actual work that was done I described above. They were polite and very competent. It was a lot of work and the 7 of them had the job done in about 6 hours. They answered all my questions and did a couple of small extras that I had not thought about. They also hauled away a couple of small piles of debris that had been left behind when my garage was built many years ago.

Susan, the designer, came out to do the initial estimate for the work. She was professional and very knowledgable about the plants and shrubbery we had around our home. My goal was to reduce the size of the beds and simplify the maintenance of our landscaping. Based on my request, she re-worked a lot of our beds and transplanted a lot of the plants to new locations that made more sense. On the day work commenced, a crew of 4 was at our home along with Susan who stayed the entire first day. I was happy to see that the person who did the redesign actually stayed to see that the plants were going to be put where she wanted them. There were one or two issues that came up due to miscommunication. However, they were resolved to an acceptable end. Overall, it was a good experience and we would use Blue Sky Landscaping again.

We have a lot of plant beds and garden space that had been taken over by weeks. We didn't get the work done in the spring and by August our yard looked awful. A crew showed up early and did the work in a day. Our previous company took much longer and never did a good job in the clean up. Our yard looked beautiful front and back. I don't know how they got all the weeds out, but the beds are very clean. They mulched and edged the beds beautifully. I was happy to see that the crew didn't rely on herbicides like our previous company did. Our previous company sprayed so much herbicide that it killed most of my flowers and some of our bushes. Overall they did an excellent job for a good price.

Our experiences with Blue Sky have been extremely uneven. We have used them in the past for tree planting, leaf removal, and some other small landscaping projects. This year we contracted with them to mow our roughly 0.6 acre property once a week. While the service began well, and the crews were always punctual, we quickly ran into problems with the quality of the mowing. We asked at the beginning that the grass not be mowed below 3 inches in order to preserve the health of the turf. This was acknowledged but not acted upon. Week after week we would return home to see the grass mowed down in many places all the way to the bare soil, particularly in graded parts of the lawn. Each time I contacted Blue Sky to request that the crews take greater care the request was acknowledged but not met. The final straw was Blue Sky's complete failure to act on our request to suspend mowing on 19 August due to an extended dry period in Northern Virginia. The request was acknowledged, but the message was never passed on to the scheduler. Consequently, we now have large areas of the lawn that have likely been permanently damaged. While I give Blue Sky credit for quickly responding to requests, the timeliness ultimately means nothing if the messages aren't passed along. I was enormously patient with Blue Sky, but my patience has run out. While I wouldn't necessarily recommend against using Blue Sky for more complex landscaping projects, I would warn consumers from using their mowing and lawn care services.

Blue Sky has been efficient in everyway. I'm very pleased with their dependability. We have already moved out of state & now are selling our house in Virginia. We needed dependable weekly service since we would not be there when the lawn was mowed. Real estate agents showed the house numerous times and the yard was nice & neat every time.

Service was alright. Large crew (5 men) would show up and get to work right away. They were typically in and out in 20 minutes. Fertilizer treatments worked fairly well, although I wasn't sure they cover 100% of the lawn in one case. Price was decent, but not great, considering the amount of time they spent. This company will not send timely bills. They wait for your bills to pile up then they send you a huge bill for several hundred dollars. This really doesn't help when you are trying to budget. This was the biggest issue we had with them and why we will not use them again in the future.

The work went great. They cleaned up after themselves. It took about five days to complete. There was about six workers that came out do different projects. I would tell a friend to go with them. They take pride in their work and do a great job.

The workers were good. They are very prompt, they stay till the job was done. They left the area clean. They were right on time, and if there were any issues they will do everything they can to fix it.

I’ve been using them for two years since I’ve been here. Their prices are reasonable. They do excellent service. They do exactly what I want and it’s very fair priced.

Things went great. We've been using them for over a year. We like them and they are very reasonable. The workers are very polite and efficient. I recommended them to my parents.

Provider showed up and verified what was to be done (remove al leaves rather than blow/rake them into the surrounding woods). They got to work immediately and continued even though the weather turned a bit nasty (cold and rainy). The result was beyond expectations with very clean looking lawn areas. Would most definitely recommend them and plan on using them again to remove leaves from wooded areas.

Needed to get some general cleanup and mulching done prior to putting our house on the market. The work was scheduled quickly and done very well. We were very happy with the work and will use again.

They did a good job. They were punctual and professional each time.

I contacted them to do fall maintenance of my lawn (aeration, overseeding, fertilizer) and they came out provided an estimate and recommended topdressing (5 cubic yards). The work was performed on my schedule (very easy to work with), they need a great job, taking care to get all of the spaces where grass never grew before. The true test will be how it looks in the spring but so far the lawn looks better then ever. I highly recommend them.

They were very professional and did direct billing and emailed response. The price was reasonable.
