AHMAZING! These guys were great!

We had an original deck so Atlantic utilized the existing foot print. They demo'd the original deck but kept the footers and joists. They had to add some additional joists to solidify the structure for the extra weight of the enclosure. The project went very smoothly and was completed on schedule. We had a few mods during the install that were vetted and implemented quickly at a fair price. Two stand-outs on this job: (1) Communication and customer service: Throughout the job the Project Manager was continually letting us know what the status of the job was and when they expected to finish. We also had a hose bib that needed to be moved. Atlantic could have easily told us this was outside the scope of the project and asked for some additional money. However, over a two-day period they were able to access the pipe from the source, make the move, and patch the ceiling in the basement. (2) Cleanup: Everyday as the crew was getting ready to leave, they would spend 15-30 minutes cleaning up the site. I'm looking at my neighbor's house right now who are doing an extension and there have been boards and trash around their home for the past month. We never had had this issue. I was thoroughly impressed with their willingness to keep the site clean and leave each day as if the job were complete.

They did excellent work and I would definitely recommend their service. We had looked at a lot of different contractors, so we were looking for someone who would understood the issues we were undergoing at the time. I was initially afraid they were going to build a concrete coffin and they built a beautiful enclosed patio. They were very professional and always available and did everything we asked.

The start of the project was a bit rough since the lead technician did not have a copy of our blue prints that we had designed with the project manager. Since the actual persons building the deck did not have the details of the design of the deck they forgot to build the different color treks border and cross strips around the whole deck and had to re-do the work that they did wrong which added time to the delivery date. The staff level varied allot during the project pushing the completion date out further then we agreed to. The quality of work completed was very good but it seemed that to get everything done the way we agreed in our design we had to constantly stay on the project manager and lead technician to make the changes to our liking and that was a bit stressful at times. The builders seem to not know the full Prince William County building code and the deck failed inspection for several reasons and they had to really work with the inspector to get the final approval by the county. When the deck was completed it was rock solid and we are very happy with it; it was just the difficult process that made it painful on us.

They were punctual, they came whenever they said they were gonna come.

They gave me an estimate for a deck and the estimate was very timely along with the measurement appointment. The design came back with their own flair which I favored another company's design better.

They built our deck. They did a good job. They are on time and they provided what I needed. I think the price is good.

They were extremely professional and courteous. We just wanted an estimate for a deck. Their price was reasonable. We shelved the project but will re-contact this company when we are ready.

We had a great experience with Atlantic Deck. They were very responsive all the way through the process. Since the build was done this winter, it was delayed several times due to snow, but throughout the process, Arran and the crew were very upfront about the delays and kept us in the loop every step of the way. A week or two after the job was done, we discovered a small issue with the porch door. They were very responsive and came out right away to fix it.

Zeth, the Sales/Operations Manager, listened attentively to our needs and ideas, and then walked us through several professional designs for our project. After the final design was chosen, Bryant was assigned as our Project Manager. Bryant did a fantastic job coordinating and managing the overall schedule of the project! Atlantic utilizes an online portal to store all contracts, project documents, and pictures. Bryant was extremely conscientious in keeping us up to date on the project status, by posting daily logs and photographs to the web site. When questions arose, both Zeth and Bryant quickly responded to our emails and phone calls, and all concerns were thoroughly addressed. Marco was assigned as the Lead Carpenter for our project. He and his team began work on April 14th. From the beginning, Marco and his team were dedicated and hard-working. They arrived early each day and often worked late into the evening. They were courteous, professional and diligent about keeping the work site as clean as possible. The end product shows the level of detail and expertise that Marco and his team put into our project. We love our new porch and deck! We would definitely hire Atlantic again, and we highly recommend Atlantic to anyone who would like to have a beautiful screened-in porch and/or deck.

They were very good. They were very responsive to anything I wanted done. I highly recommend them.

Contractor performed work as promised/contracted. Had to call back a number of times due to leaks along Drysnap seams. Last attempt to seal the seams they applied silicone caulk which is ugly and looks very unprofessional. To date (approx. 15 months later), there are multiple leaks and the gutter along the house is pulling away from the structure. Very shoddy work.

They seemed like a good company. They did not charge me for the estimate. They were professional and they explained everything. I had 2-3 companies come out and I think their price was pretty average. They came out when they said they would.

I contacted this provider to enquire about a deck repair or possible total rebuild. I left a message on their answering machine explaining what I was interested in using those words. They were very responsive, calling me back within 2 hours. The representative I spoke to explained that repair services were limited to November-March and they would not be able to do a repair at this time. Understanding that, I suggested they come out and give me an estimate on the repair and the full rebuild. If I was interested in the full rebuild, we could go forward at this time, but if the repair made sense, I would be willing to wait until November. The representative said they would not be willing to give me an estimate on a repair, that it would be on a time and materials basis, and that they would charge for that estimate. If they knew I was already committed to a full repair they would come out and give me an estimate. I was taken aback by this attitude. I wonder what they would have said if I was not quite so truthful in my voicemail message. It is quite probable that I will want a full rebuild, but this vendor was unwilling to even discuss a repair as an option. Consequently, should I ultimately decide to rebuild, I will not solicit an estimate from Atlantic Deck and Home Renovation.

It was amazing, from start to finish. I wish more companies worked like they do. I was dreading getting bids on decks because I felt I would be pressured. I called out 4 deck people. Two did not return because I would not sign up that day. Kris at Atlantic deck did not use any high pressure sales. His main concern was that we got the deck we wanted within our budget. We got two bids and then my mother in law got sick so we could not move forward with the deck right away. Kris understood and said to call him when we were ready, the other deck company really wanted us to start the work. Needless to say we chose Atlantic Deck Company and thank goodness we did. Arran was our project manager and he went out of his way to make sure as the deck was being built it was meeting our vision. He emailed us each day to let us know what work had been done, he gave us heads up as to weather delays and because the weather was so bad, he asked if it was OK if they worked on the weekend. Armando was the most detail oriented carpenter. He did amazing work and he made sure everything was clean and orderly at the end of each work day. I highly recommend this company. It was a pleasure working with them.

We moved into a new house with a double decker deck that was a 20 year old builder grade, not to code sinking and uneven. So our first major project was replacing this deck. Since it was double decker deck it gave us an opportunity to improve not just structure and finish quality but to also add function. So we screened in the first floor and added a roof under the top deck. Atlantic was fantastic from beginning to end. We spoke to four different contractors. One was a highly recommend local contractor that did decks on the side, a potentially a low cost provider. The other two contractors were similar to Atlantics size and professionalism. The low cost provider did not want to replace the framing. Atlantic insisted on the replacement of all framing and support post as the correct solution to the uneven deck. Even with this commitment to doing the project correctly Atlantic?s pricing was competitive with the low cost provider Compared to the other professional deck contractors Atlantic price was better and their willingness to handle the association approval and county coding requirements was outstanding. Actually their suggestions on how to handle challenging problems is truly what won our business. Zeth?s planning, design and follow through were the best. And he gained our trust as we proceeded. Construction project management was handed off to Aaron and there was a positive on site hand off from Zeth to Aaron. Aaron kept us apprised of all activity through daily emails. I was very concern with having the correct footers on the deck. Arron and the construction lead Robert ensured footers were dug until solid ground. Each hole was dug to 5 feet. The original footers were 2 feet. Last minute request to add lattice to the bottom of the deck were handled with no problem. When I spoke up about a misunderstanding it was immediately addressed the next day.

Very positive experience. From the initial estimate query on Angie's List to the actual work being completed took 6 days. After the technician fixed the gate, he asked if we needed any other work done since we were paying for an hour of work and he finished early. While we didn't have any more, he spent the remainder of his time answering questions about our deck and giving us recommendations. We plan on moving forward with his recommendations and of course, using Atlantic.

I didn't use them for the work. The price was higher than my expectations. I basically postponed the project for now because I can't afford to get it done right now. I would prefer someone more reasonable in pricing. They were professional and punctual. They knew what they were doing.

The deck was built while we were on vacation which was probably why the errors got as far as they did. When we returned to give it the final inspection, there were 2 fairly significant problems. The chevron pattern on the flooring of the Trex matched where they had started the pattern, but the person doing the cutting hadn't used the same angle on the mitre box so at the other end the chevron pattern didn't come even close to meeting. And on the "awning" there were boards that should have been equally spaced and evidently when they were measured it was done inaccurately as the last 3 were several inches closer together than the others and it looked pretty bad. Once the MGR came to look at it, he saw immediately the issues and went back to the office to work out a fix. The floor boards were all pulled up and used for the next shorter board to even out the angle and the 6 or 7 of the overhead boards were pulled down to soften the imbalance in the spacing issue. We were satisfied with the fix. The deck is beautiful and we love it. Atlantic worked creatively to do what we wanted and we are very pleased with the results.

The Atlantic Deck Company representative came to our home and consulted with us regarding the work to be performed. He recommended using pavers for the patio and river rock under the deck. After checking with several other contractors we decided to use this company. Upon approval of the HOA the work was begun in mid-December. We requested that the project be completed before Christmas and it was in spite of the weather being very cold (freezing and below) on most days of work. They worked hard and completed this labor intensive job in five days as promised. We also added a step down platform made of pavers after the job was begun for an additional modest cost. We are thrilled with the patio and under the deck where the river rock will prevent soil erosion which had been a problem because of the significant slope under the deck.

It was very good. They did quality work and the supervisor came out to make sure it was complete.

I contacted Atlantic Deck Company for a quote to build a deck. I left a voice message and my call was returned next business day. The person i spoke with provided all the answers to my questions and was professional and courteous. I was satisfied with the service and professionalism

I used the same company to update my deck with composite (Trek/The old 16 year old horizontal surfaces had decayed.) Since they did such an excellent job, I turned to them for updates inside the house. The upgrade went well. They stuck to the timeline and payment schedule as the job progressed. They used knowledgeable and experienced plumbers, carpenters, and tilers. I have no complains and everything ended up as exactly or better than I expected.

Because they did such a good job building my deck last July, I have been meaning to write a review of Atlantic Deck Co., but have not gotten around to it until now. It took Atlantic roughly two weeks to finish this fairly-large project. It would have taken about half as long, but for the rain and Independence Day holiday. Their timeliness was perfectly acceptable to me. From the beginning, Zeth did a great job in working with me to arrive at the best design for my family's needs and answering my questions about the project and the contract. I thought the price was excellent for what I was getting. Kris took over from there and appears to have managed the project very well. No question from either Zeth or Kris went unanswered, and no issue went unsolved. When it was finished, it was better than I had HOPED for. The construction detail was fabulous. There were little surprises, like the well-made handrails and things like that, that I was not really expecting. It looks and feels bomb-proof. Friends of mine, including those who or play work in fields similar to, or overlapping with, deck construction, also were very impressed. Assuming that this is typical-quality work by Atlantic deck, rather than some aberration, I could not recommend them more highly.

I called for information and an estimate in the full swing of deck season. I explained my concerns and Zeth was very professional told me they could come take care of it and asked me to call back in the Fall when the company does small repairs. He offered to refer me to a trusted colleague if I didn't want to wait. Timing big projects for busy season and smaller ones for off season made sense to me and since the issue might have been structural, I decided to wait. I called back in the Fall and had the work scheduled and completed timely. Zeth came out to meet me, see the deck and location. He listened to my concerns and recommended work that would address the issues. I got the comprehensive written estimate quickly. In fact, Zeth provided separate pricing on a number of variables that I was considering, so I could pick and choose to manage my costs. Zeth explained clearly that the final project cost would be dependent upon actual time and materials used. The Project Manager came to the house with the work crew to see location, confirm the work I wanted done, etc. After reviewing the job, the project manager made a couple of alternative suggestions that worked just fine and which reduced the cost of the project. The three-man work team headed by Robert worked steadily from start to finish and cleaned up very well. Frankly, I didn't truly understand the amount of repair work the guys had to do from reading the estimate. They did a lot of work and the project still came in below the original estimate. Everyone I worked with was knowledgeable, courteous and honest. I definitely recommend the company and will use them again if the need arises. .
