Amazing Flame Gas Fireplace Service & Repair

I thought the technician did a fair job - spent about 40 mins on cleaning and servicing 2 fireplaces. A few weeks after he did the cleaning, I notice the inside glass on the fireplace had these white marks on it (which had never appeared before -- I've had the fireplaces for over 10 yrs) -- I called the owner to ask about the white stains and she said that was normal condensation -- and she wanted to charge me again for a trip fee to send her tech out to clean the glass windows on the fireplace. I disagreed with her as I believe it was something in their cleaning chemicals that caused the white stains as it did not appear on the fireplace glass before in the last 10 yrs. I thought it was bad customer service and poor taste she wanted to charge me again.

this was a very expensive part to replace and we weren't, original owners so it was not under warranty- when I called and talked to Lenah and explained she called the manufacture and got the needed info- the part was ordered and paid for after she sent us a proposaL for the work- their price was fair and when the part arrived Mike came and installed it - Amazing Flame was professional and we will call them in the future. The problem was originally found by another company who were professional but when we received their written proposal their price was considerably higher than they had originally told us. We are very glad after checking around to work with Amazing flame.

Great, they arrived on time, spent 20 min cleaning logs and surround, replaced rocks adjusted blower. Very polite, clean, knowledgeable. It was expensive though!

Making the appointment required a simple phone call, Russell arrived promptly, and got to work. He quickly assessed our problem, performed corrections, setup the fireplace like new, and provided advice on what we could do in the future. He explained and pointed out every step - an education in fireplace maintenance. In, out in no time, leaving as if he had never had to do work, leaving us with a fireplace functioning better than new. In the end, our louvers were not set correctly (inhibiting heating), but the main problem was in how the front glass was affixed, leaking at the bottom. The top needed a bit of an adjustment, too. He showed me where the seal was made, and how to avoid the problem in the future. If I decide for the further work, I will give Amazing Flame a call.

Perfectly. Tech showed-up right on time, kept work area clean and neat, and got everything fixed in an hour or so. As it turned out, repairs were more complicated than I thought. Tech had to repair wiring in the fireplace, as well as replace the remote, which was broken.

The bulb was replaced in the back of the fireplace and is now working as it should. I have used Amazing Flame for maintenance and repair for over 10 years. They are a great company to do business with. In addition to being friendly and courteous they are professional and knowledgeable when repairing gas fireplaces. I would highly recommend them for any gas fireplace issues you may have.

We had used Russell in the past to clean our fireplaces and he did an excellent job. So we thought he would be best to fix our 20 year old fireplace. We asked him if we should attempt to fix the fireplace and he said he could fix it. The initial cost to fix the fireplace was about $350. That did not work. So he tried something else. That did not work. He then presented us with the option of replacing another part which would give us basically "all new parts in the fireplace". It was now going to be a total of about $1000. After all this, the fireplace basically worked the same....shutting off after a short period of operating. We decided not to have them come back and attempt to fix the fireplace since they informed us it would be additional cost and they seemed to be guessing through their effort. Very disappointed to spend $1000 and get nothing for it. If you don't know something can be fixed be honest and don't try.

We were getting ready to sell house and did not want to have to buy a new one if old one could be fixed. Called in one service provider who took it apart and said it could not be fixed nor could they get parts for it. They said I needed a new one and quoted a price around $ 2000. I said i was going to check around and called Amazing Flame. Amazing Flame technician came and within 2 hrs replaced pilot light line and regulator. Fireplace works fine now. Very satisfied with the results.

Years ago a regular HVAC repairman worked on my gas fireplace but he wasn't sure what he was doing and charged me over $350. I saw Amazing Flame on Angies List and was excited that they specialized in just what I needed-service and repair. Making the appointment with Amazing Flame went very smoothly, they quoted me their standard price and they were able to come sooner than I was expecting. They called me the day before and the day of to confirm arrival time which I appreciated very much. The service man came to the door with all the supplies he needed and went right to work. He diagnosed the problem promptly, quickly cleaned and repaired it, also cleaned the inside of the glass and his entire work area, leaving his work area cleaner than he found it. Within half an hour everything including cleanup was complete. He was very informative, friendly and funny since he had to tolerate my inquisitive dog and cat. I was very happy with everything and I highly recommend them.

He did a great job overall and the fireplace is working well. He was friendly and happy to explain what he was doing for each step. The fireplace had not been used in years and needed a good cleaning and repair of broken pieces. He repaired the broken parts, replaced the embers and got it working again in 45 minutes. I recently purchased a home with a gas fireplace and wasn't quite sure how it operated. Scott from Amazing Flame came out and showed me everything I needed to know. He was very professional and courteous and made sure take off his shoes upon entering the house. He cleaned up my fireplace, got it working and gave me a tutorial on how to operate it, safely. When we moved into our brand new townhouse, we were told to burn our gas fireplace two times for 10 hours each time to burn off any manufacturing smells. We did this process more than twice and our fireplace persisted in smelling terrible within 15 minutes of turning it on. We had several contractors look at it and no one could solve our problem. So we called Amazing Flame and made an appointment. Within an hour of making the appointment, the owner had called us to get more information and to explain possible causes and what they would do to determine the exact cause. Mike, the serviceman, arrived promptly. He is extremely well organized and proceeded to put blankets down to protect the carpet and then in a very methodical way, clean each element and talk to us about what he was doing. He tested for gas leaks, looked at the proper place for exhaust leaks too. After those had been ruled out and everything had been serviced and cleaned, he turned on the fireplace. We started smelling a lighter version of the smell that was bothering us. He could immediately tell us that is was caused by dust burning off. Mike told us to burn the fireplace 3 hours a day, 2 days in a row, and that should eliminate the smell completely. We did that and our fireplace is now odor-free and working great. The thing that impressed me the most was Mike's knowledge, his confident and straightforward answers to every single question. Amazing Flame is an honest and trustworthy company, so rare these days. The price was just as amazing as the service! I will hire this company again in a heartbeat!

Scott was very friendly and professional. We were having problems with the fireplace not lighting consistently. He cleaned the pilot light and replaced the switch. He also discovered a gas leak, which he fixed. We had a cold draft at the bottom of the fireplace and he saw that it was because there was a large hole in the fire box where the gas line enters but the rest of the hole was wide open. He sealed it with tape, which has eliminated the draft. He also fixed the glass which wasn't properly installed. Very worthwhile visit, would definitely use this company again for any fireplace servicing.

The guy came out and did an awesome job. He got the fireplace back in shape and running and showed me what I needed to know to operate it properly. While he was here he checked my gas range which was not igniting and my gas water heater because I thought I smelled gas. Even though his specialty is fireplaces, he was so easy to help me with these other two items without even charging me extra. It's been a few years and I'm still enjoying the fireplace thanks to his good work. All around great guy. I'd recommend him to anyone.

We have problems with our gas fireplace from the time we bought our house 9 years ago. We had several other companies (many from Angie's List) come to the house, do some work, say it was fixed and then within 2 weeks the fireplace would stop working again. Some of the companies came back and tried to fix the problem a second time and some of the companies would not even return my phone calls. Then we found Amazing Flame! We decided this was our last attempt to fix the fireplace and if Amazing Flame could not fix it then we would have to replace it (it's surrounded in stone so this was not something we wanted to do). From the first phone call to the office we knew this was going to be a different experience and it was. The office person took down the name and model number of the fireplace and the technician knew exactly what he was walking into when he came to the house. He checked out the fireplace, then called the manufacturer and after 30 minutes on the phone with them was able to establish the problem and fix it. It is so wonderful to have a working fireplace after 9 years. We will definitely use Amazing Flame again and would recommend to everyone.

I found them on Angie's List. They were quick in diagnosing the issue that we had with the fireplace because it was not coming on and we could not get it to work. They did what was necessary to fix it. So many things were good about their service. I liked the knowledge of the worker and the price.

Showed up early and ready to work. Very friendly and informative during the maintenance. Explained everything they did and why they did it. I also had an issue with my fan being extremely loud (which prompted the service call) and instead of replacing my fan, they found that the speed was stuck on high because something else had broke. They fixed the switch instead of the fan, which cost 35 bucks. Also walked me through my options for replacement, as we would like to do that one day down the road. Would definitely recommend their service as the technician was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

My gas fireplace did not come on immediately when I used the switch this year. I called for this, and to have the fireplace cleaned and inspected. Mike performed diagnostic tests on the unit, cleaned it, and changed the wall switch. He also rearranged my logs, and pointed out that they should not be directly in the flames. I am fairly clueless about the unit and asked him a million questions. He answered them all with the patience of Job. He was professional, laid down blankets on my hearth and floor and worked so efficiently that it took little time. You would not even be able to tell that someone had been here working, he was just that neat. My unit is an older one that parts no longer exist for. When it decides to die, I will be calling Amazing Flame to install my next one, and until then will be using them for service. I highly recommend this company.
