 + -1 morePhilip was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all of my questions and to explain the process. First, he thoroughly assessed the problem. Next he explained the process of repairing the access points and setting a trap which would allow squirrels to exit the attic but not reenter. He explained how the mice would be handled, and the plan to control them in the future. Honestly, the metal seals he constructed to close up the attic access looks very good. Overall, I could not be more pleased!

 + -1 moreI was on a tight timeline to get the animal removed and hole patched before selling the house. VA Wildlife Removal was able to get me scheduled for the next day. Unfortunately his technician was involved in a car accident on the way to the house (he was ok) and a new tech was sent for the next day. He removed the squirrel and patched the entry point, and also found another entry point and sealed it. We had professional work, a squirrel free house, and a happy buyer for the property the next day.

Phil explained the problems caused by years of mice nesting in our attic. He treated the affected area and made recommendations for us to follow which we are assessing now. Called with a follow up for possible solutions and Mr. Arrington was very helpful and professional to offer home solutions rather than paying him to perform the same service. Coincidently I was able to rid the mice myself, but will definitely use in the future if I have a problem. Truly a respectable company.

 + 0 moreAt every step Earl was there to make sure all that was promised was delivered. Even though the job turned out to be more work than originally anticipated, the final bill did not change one penny from the initial estimate. We are very satisfied and greatful we found VA Wildlife Removal!
Description of Work: We started out contracting with another company to install additional insulation. When they started they ran into a snake and immediately abandoned work . My husband found this company on-line and called. His call was answered on the first try by the owner Mike Arrington and an appointment was set. A very friendly and knowledgeable technician, Earl Ervin arrived at appointed day and time and, after thorough inspection of the attic, told us we had a snake problem due to the number of snake skins he saw. He saw how distraught we were and clearly, without sales hype, went over in detail what needed to be done. Because we had already paid a deposit to the original insulation company, VA Wildlife Removal agreed to work with us on pricing for getting rid of snakes, removing all existing insulation, sealing all openings, removing all junk that was left up there, spraying snake repellant and re-installing new insulation. It turned out to be a big job and more work than anticipated but Earl was here, every day, every step of the way walking us through and allowing us to inspect when the attic was cleaned out and sealed and again when new insulation was installed. Earl had our trust and he and his crew did an excellent job.

 + -1 moreFirst time provider charged $458 to put up a squirrel excluder, the next day the squirrel chewed a hole right next to the excluder. Second visit the provider put up another excluder for $200, later put a piece of sheet metal over the piece of trim the squirrel came through. Now the squirrel is coming through the soffit vent.

 + -1 moreIt didn't work. They set it up. They didn't come back and check it. There were no extra charges. The workers were okay. They were kind of late. They didn't catch a thing. When time was up, they picked it up and went away.

 + 0 moreWhen they came to inspect the property they said the excluder was only for the attic. We had to pay extra for the excluders for the shutters. They said they would be putting foam behind the shutters to keep the bats from going there. They were instructed to nail the shutters back after the foam was installed. They were supposed to clean out and disinfect the areas also. Neither job was done. There were still droppings after they left and the shutters were not nailed down. They said the shutter's nail was broke and it would've costed several extra hundred dollars to have them fix that. When we called the owner of the company to explain what had happened and to tell him the special instructions clearly stated to have the shutters nailed down, he got irritated. When we said we were going to contact Angie's List he told us we should lawyer up because he had an attorney. The work hasn't been fixed and the shutters look worse than before because of the bulkiness of the foam.
