Description of Work: Tidewater initially replaced the sewer pump in our tank after the original pump failed in May of 2013. The first pump they installed lasted only 10 days. They could not determine the reason for the failure, could not find any objects that had been flushed down the toilet that might have caused the failure. The next pump they installed lasted for 5 months. They replaced it again with the same type and size of pump even though they could not determine what had caused the pump to fail. The next pump failed within 9 months. This time they refused to replace the pump for free because the pump manufacturer would not supply a free pump. The owner of the company, Mike would not return my phone calls and all I could get them to do was pay for the sewer to be pumped out. Tidewater sent a different tech every time we called and there was no comprehensive plan or understanding of what was making the pumps fail. I would not recommend Tidewater to anyone. We had to hire a new company and pay another $3400 to have a larger pump installed (1 hp vs 2 hp) which has worked fine so far.

+ -1 moreThe Home that I purchased in Colonial Beach was over 50 years old and the existing septic system was far from meeting current health code requirements. Tidewater accurately explained the detailed process necessary to comply with the local and State regulations. A new compliant system was designed and Tidewater promptly and professionally undertook the installation of a complete up to date septic system together with a new drain field. They have modern heavy equipment, which facilitated the installation. They also coordinated the final Health Department inspection. I could not be more pleased. They even reseeded the lawn. Also, the owner is a veteran. I would recommend this outfit to anyone needing septic work.
