Went excellent. Going to recommend them to everyone i know that needs water proofing!!!

The first job went well. They braced the house I-beam supports and lifted the house just enough to be solid but not crack the drywall. Second job was more complex, took three days, and lots of digging and spraying and remove/replace. The end product looked amazing. Seriously amazing. Plastic all covered everything and was all level, looked brand new nice! I’m moving, but dang, new people have no idea how great this looks compared to what it was.

Bidding for this project ranged from $15k all the way to $32k - it seemed like many of the estimators just didn't have the experience to bid it properly so they overbid it to be safe. S&S wasn't the lowest bid but the structural engineer most highly endorsed it, because of the rock-filled trench. His team was fast to come out and take a look right away, was super-fast to start, started early every day and stayed late to remain on schedule. They moved a massive amount of earth to make this job happen - their work ethic was frankly inspiring. A relatively small area at first glance resulted in them carrying away several giant trailers' worth of dirt - one bucket at a time. Very glad we didn't just pack that right back on top of the new wall like many bidders suggested. The egress window added a lot of light to the room and the finished window well looks great from the outside too. S&S probably spent more time on this project than they anticipated, but they never tried to raise the price. Steven also backs up his work, even when a subcontractor misses a detail - he resolved two separate small issues within hours, including one that we noticed a couple weeks after job completion. Now confident that the area is waterproof, we went ahead and finished the room off (with a different contractor) with a closet, drywall, recessed lighting etc. So what had been an unplanned sudden disaster expense in an unfinished room now feels like home improvement that adds to home enjoyment value.

By far, Steve and his team were the right choice for our project. They came and assessed our situation, developed a solution and priced it very fairly. They arrived early, worked hard until late and did a great job overall. My advice, don't waste time with some of the other firms that make claims about being more expensive due to having t pay for 'only the best' employees. Talk to Steve and see if he can help solve your problem. I don't think you'll be disappointed. We'd hire them again and would recommend them to family and friends. Professional, courteous, prompt, fair and they did great work...what else would you want?

Work crew showed up every day on time....sometimes starting a half hour early and working a nine hour day. Work was completed in a timely manner. Crew was neat and tidy and left no contraction debris lying around after each day's work.

Great company! Owner is extremely knowledgeable and offered a number is solutions to my situation. Steve checked my property prior to doing the work to ensure proper drain-off was already happening prior to offering solutions. Price was very inexpensive compared to other quotes from other companies. Steve kept me apprised of all work completion and of upcoming goals and completion timeframes. Best of all was the efficiency with which the company worked! Great experience to a situation that I was initially dreading addressing. Thanks S&S, you will be the first phone call I make next time!

back-filled wall poured new stoop. He comes from Stafford he was there everyday he protected the project during the snow storm and dug up and protected the shrubbery. He took pictures of the project at the end of EVERYDAY. He workers were pleasant and worked h****** the job. He gave us a bid did what he said what he would do and did it when he said he would be done. He worked on the weekends when he needed to. We have a life warrenty on water damage (he installed rebr and repaired damage mortar joints and applied water proofing membrane and protection board) and a 20yr structural warranty of wall movement of more than a qt of an inch. He was very reasonable with payment options . He also installed a water pump that was warranted for 3yrs. He service was beyond reproach everything was cleaned up the plantings were replanted and removed excess dirt and reseeded grass that might have been damaged. I would highly recommend him he was so easy to work with his communication was excellent. Could not have asked for more

S&S waterproofing was called in during demolition when the problems were uncovered. They made the time and worked on a Saturday to rebuild the all of the masonry enclosure along with putting in a waterproofing barrier to ensure no future water damage. This work prepared my hose for the front door replacement and a replacement patio approach to the home. They were quick, professional, and the end result was perfect for my home. You could tell the Mason who worked on my home had the "touch" to rebuild brick and make it look "natural". You couldn't tell work had been accomplished!!!

We live at the bottom of a large hill and during large storms our stairwell fills up with water and floods our basement. I had 3 estimates for ways to solve the problem and really liked their approach/design. As the last reviewer said there was no pressure to buy now like the other estimates i got and the price was below the other 2 estimates and included replacing the old pump and a new battery back up which were add on's for the other companies. They broke out the entire stairwell landing and installed a big drain that they tied into a new sump pit. The new sump pit was installed beside the existing sump pit with an overflow pipe between the 2 incase 1 pump would stop working the water could flow to the other pump. They installed a new pump in the old sump pit and a battery back up attached to the new pump. The crew also put in underground pipes to get the water from the gutters away and even fixed my top step that was sinking at no charge while they were there. We haven't had 1 drop of water since the work was completed and we can finally sleep at night when there's a big storm!!!

My neighbor had S&S Waterproofing do some work for him and he was pleased so I decided to get an estimate to go along with estimates I had gotten from some other bigger companies. When the owner (Steve) came out to look at my situation, I explained what was going on and what I was looking to have done. From my experience from the other companies, I was ready for a sales pitch and for things to be pushed on me that I was not interested in. To my surprise that was not the case with him, no sales pitch or high pressure sales tactics used at all. He answered any questions I had but not once tried to "up-sale" anything to me or pressure me into something I was not interested in or needed to have done. After I received his estimate I found that his price ($16,000) was much more reasonable then the estimates I received from the bigger companies ($24,400 and $31,000) to have the exact same things done. I decided to have him do my pier installation, waterproofing of my walls and downspout extensions. The owner went over everything that would be done with me which allowed me to ask any questions I had about the work that would be done. I was also pleased to see the owner was on site everyday to over see the work as it was done. When all was finished I was extremely pleased with the work that was done, the time it was done in and how my property was left after it was completed. The work was done in June, and I haven't had one issue since and saved thousands in the end, can't ask for more! I was happy to hear from Steve that he had joined Angie's List so that I could leave a review for him, I was beyond pleased by the entire experience.
