+ 0 moreThe installation went well and the generator works fine. During a storm, we checked to make sure all the lights/appliances/heat pump worked while the generator was running and they did. This generator is much quieter than our old one -- this is the reason that I purchased a Kohler instead of a Generac.
Description of Work: The company installed a new whole house generator and added some additional items to the sub panel that the generator runs when full power is out. I purchased a larger generator (Kohler) so I added the downstairs heat pump and additional lights/ceiling fans.

+ -1 moreAwesome. Put a call into emergency number and left a message that was returned in around 10 minutes. Technician called and advised his ETA, which he beat. Fixed problem immediately. Couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: Generator failed to start after power had been lost during tropical storm Hermine, on a Saturday no less.

+ 0 moreNNG technicians spent nearly an entire day installing the generator, rewiring as needed. They cleaned up all debris and packaging and provided a thorough tutorial in how to operate, monitor, and (if we choose) service the generator ourselves. The unit is now installed and operating perfectly.
Description of Work: When our standby generator died (after 13 years) NNG was one of two local companies we asked to diagnose the problem and recommend a solution--which turned out to be buying a new standby generator. Of the two firms, NNG provided the most thorough, detailed analysis of what we needed and how we could make use of as much existing wiring as possible (keeping the cost down). The sales rep, himself a highly experienced electrician, provided us with a detailed list of products that could meet our needs and also meet our desire for as long a warranty period as possible. He proposed some simple rewiring that will allow us to spend less on a generator while getting more circuits--options that we didn't know about, even after several days of searching the Web. NNG let us to order it without even putting down a deposit, which as far as we can tell is very rare.

Because the rural area we live in, not far from the Chesapeake Bay is prone to electrical outages that can sometimes be rather lengthy, we wanted a whole house, backup generator that worked and would come on immediately if there were a power outage. We contacted NN Generator and they gave us an estimate. We decided to have them do it, they came when they said they would, did all the work very professionally and it works well.
Description of Work: The company showed up prmptly, removed a non-working generator, installed a new backup generator, connected all the wiring, hooked it up to the propane source, cleaned up, explained and demonstrated how everything worked.
