VISIONS FOR WINDOWS INC

I went to the store, kind of a seedy area, to get some hangers for some old blinds. He said my blinds were permanently discolored by attic heat. He was courteous at that point, but a good (but pushy) salesman, and he sold me some new ones, custom, and came out to measure. He proudly stated that the blinds I ordered were solid hardwood. Mr. Hyde then came to install them. Blinds were very flexible, especially the frame holding them to the window (wood bent in when tapped lightly). I said that they were not hard wood. He became very offended and nasty, but we went back around the issue several times. Each time he got more incensed, as if I were insulting something else. This included when we discussed the check, at which point he lunged at me. I told him that I would call the police, at which point he stopped and moved back, and I kicked him out. He called me a name (not swearing) from the porch. He sent me a bill, which I confess I delayed paying. 30 days later he called and said he was at the court about to file charges, in a threatening, angry manner. We agreed that he could pick the check up, which he did, still snarling. Unfortunately, every time I look at the blinds I remember him. Technically, he was quite capable of doing the work that he performed. Above quality grade of C, as blinds were not as stated (lied about the hardwood), but they look pretty good. (Re-edited)

He is a one man company and exceptional at what he does. He charged $50 each to repair 7 different blinds and his work is very good. I'd already priced to replace them and his price was by far a bargain. He did what he said he'd do and did it promptly and honored the price. The service is totally satisfactory and I highly recommend him. If anyone would like to call me to confirm this I'd be glad to speak with you about him.
