Jackie is efficient, thoughtful, pleasant and, of course, incredibly organized herself. She arrived promptly for both sessions, and brought organizing supplies and tips. In 6 hours, working together, we reviewed and eliminated 15 years of clutter from a basement room filled with mementos from relatives who passed away, personal financial documents, old workplace and school documents, toys and collectibles, furniture, and other household items from previous residences, etc. She is easy to talk to and compassionate when deciding how to handle items that may be hard to let go of. She doesn't insert herself, but if you want it, she offers advice on whether to keep, toss or donate, and if you decide to keep something, great ideas about how to keep it so the room stays organized and you can find the object later! I also hired her several years ago to organize paperwork, which was also very useful.
Description of Work: Helped me declutter and reorganize a very full basement room, deciding whether to toss, donate, retain or sell online miscellaneous items and paperwork collected rover 30 year period.

Great experience. I hired Jackie to help declutter and organize my family room and storage area prior to remodeling. She completed phase 1 - within 3 hours she had everything sorted - trash/ donate/keep - and what we decided to keep was organized. Jackie found additional storage space where I thought I had none. Jackie works quickly and gives great advice. She even gave me great pointers on my upcoming remodeling project. Don't hesitate to call her if you need help. I am so glad I did.

Jackie was exemplary in every category, showed up on time, and luckily for me was able to stay an extra hour. We will need to sort a few more boxes and then ask her to return and help with another problem closet, which is of course too small! Her work is very professional and very reasonable.

Jackie (The Organizer) was absolutely fantastic. The transformation she did of our basement and garage was absolutely incredible! There were several things I loved about the way Jackie worked: 1) She had a method - she helped me establish a plan as to how to sort and clean out these areas. Not just the traditional save, trash, and donate...she devised a plan to sort things by how and where they were used. 2) Jackie worked along side of me, getting her hands dirty and doing whatever it took to clean out the basement and garage (ok, she actually worked harder than I did, and continued to persevere when I thought the task was daunting...) 3) Jackie had a plan for organizing the items that should go into these areas. Once we cleaned everything out, she helped me organize what should remain. I can't say enough good things about the quality and efficiency of Jackie's approach. I would hire her again in a heart beat!

She was fantastic. We worked together on one piece of the office at a time, and we were able to get my books and papers organized to a point that I am now able to find everything I need easily. I learned a bit about organizing other spaces in my house in the process. I would gladly recommend this service to all of my friends!

I had written out a list of tasks I wanted Jackie's help with, and we achieved quite a lot of them and more in our Phase I - 3 hour session. We first walked through my house so she could see how things were set up and what areas needed work. After our house tour, her brain started to work its magic. She correctly surmised that I was cluttering up my bedroom and had too many "like items" in different rooms, causing confusion and disarray. She immediately came up with a plan to resolve these issues. She helped me create a "zone" for my new eBay business where everything (items to sell, photography equipment, etc) should be kept. Previously, these items were split up into 4 different rooms! We then tackled going through several boxes I brought up from the storage room, and she helped me sort them as either donations, consignment, sell on eBay, etc. She made the process go so quickly and helped me "let go" of so many items I've been hanging onto without the usual agony we all feel when parting with things embodied with memories. We then created zones in my storage room for the items I decided to keep, so that everything had its "place". Next, she helped me transform a room in my house as an "eBay Selling Room", which will really help me streamline this business. We got SO much done in 3 hours, but I still need her to come back for another session to help me streamline another business I run and organize a career change I'm making. I trust her and know she will come up with great ideas for this next challenge as she has done for all the previous ones I've had. I've always been very satisfied with her services and think she is the most talented organizer I've ever seen. I highly recommend her!
Description of Work: This is not the first time I have hired Jackie to help me with organizing projects. I found her just after moving into a new house and had her help me get it set up. Then, several years later, I found myself collecting clutter and needed to hire her again. Then, yesterday, I had her help me again to set up some organizational systems for my storage room and to help me get several business pursuts streamlined, as I was feeling overwhelmed. Just like the previous two times I used her services, Jackie demonstrated her unique talent of quickly visualizing ways to organize my house that I never would have thought of in a million years! This is why Jackie is SO worth the money. She has the rare ability and a trained eye to see solutions and systems that help you stay organized and make your life more functional. Although she is also "hands on" (carrying boxes, sorting through items, etc), it is her ideas that make her so successful and sought after!

Jackie is a phenomenon. She is much more than an organizer -- she is a transformer. She does her magic and the place is totally different. She has a vision of what your space should look like and feel like, and then she does it. I don't always love the time we spend together because she forces me to make hard choices, but when it's over, I'm so glad I did. She is also a wonderful person, which makes it so much more cheerful. I would recommend her to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

I had several projects that required organization. Contacted Jackie and she was very responsive; we scheduled my appointment within a week. Jackie arrived at our appointment on time. I showed her the different projects I needed help with. We discussed the projects and mutually decided on a starting point. Jackie was very professional, kept me focused/on track during the organization, and offered helpful hints along the way. I was very pleased with her assistance/direction, as well as with the outcome of the projects we tackled, and will contact her again in the future for other organizing projects.

Description of Work: Jackie showed up at my home on time and ready to work. She went through my very overpacked, cluttered closet in no time and set up a system not only that I love, but want to maintain. I now find it very simple to find exactly what I am looking for, and will no longer purchase duplicate items. Jackie also went through my teenage son's entire room and created a flow that makes sense and will be easy to maintain. I have already booked Jackie for future dates to set up organizational systems in other rooms of the house. She will be returning to organize the kitchen, pantry and storage areas. Jackie comes into the home and instantly feels like a very close friend. I may have found my new best friend and have decided to have her return on a regular basis to make certain we stay organized.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List and seeing the coupon, I decided to hire Jackie to help me organize the storage area in my basement. We are a military family and we just bought a house about 7 months ago, so we had boxes from different places still unopened in our basement. I could have reorganized it myself, but I didn't know where and how; I wasn't that focused either. Jackie comes to the rescue! She came on time and started working right away. We sorted piles for keep, trash and donation. It took us 3 hours, but I only paid for 2 hours thanks to the Angie's List coupon. My husband and I are very pleased and can't wait to continue with the rest of the house now that we have more space in the basement. Thanks Jackie!!

Helpful. Professional. Good advice. Did not blame me for my mess but helped me move through to organization in about 7 hours on working with me in our home office. First hour was free with an Angie's coupon and $50 per hour. Worth much more to me in peace of mind. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: Jackie put me at ease right away with my accumulation papers in my home office. She explained that it is more complicated these days with half of our correspondence on line and the other half on paper. She explained what papers I needed to keep and what could be shredded. More went into the shredder pile. In addition, she took my overly complicated paper filing system and streamlined it to an easily managed set of essential files. It is so good to not feel conquered by the weight of missing papers!

Both times Jackie was on time and ready to jump right in. With her help, I was able to accomplish in 3 hours what would have taken me an entire weekend to do. For my kitchen, she helped me get rid of things I didn't use, and to make the items I used on a daily basis more accessible. She didn't recommend buying any organization products but simply used and repurposed what I already had. My junk drawer now is organized with some of the excess plastic storage containers I had. Pens now have a home, and I can find one when I need it. It's easier to put things where they are supposed to go because Jackie is adamant that there is room to put things away easily - knowing that if it's not easy, it won't happen. Jackie is a pleasure to work with. She is non-judgmental and understands that organization skills are not innate to everyone. I have spent the last 12 years not knowing where to put things in my house. When I had people over, I would rush around cleaning, and put everything that didn't have a home in a box or bag and hid it in a closet, intending to go through it later and put everything away. Unfortunately, I would never go through the box and the clutter just built. My 2011 New Year's resolution was to go through every closet and "finally" get organized. Even though I wanted to be organized, I felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and never knew where to start, so I didn't do it. I am so happy I found Jackie on Angie's List and am looking forward to going through the rest of my rooms and closets and finally feeling comfortable knowing where things go and knowing where to look when I want to find something. I wish I could adequately describe how fabulous this has been for me. The only thing I can say is if you are considering an organizer I highly recommend Jackie.
Description of Work: Jackie is helping me organize my house. Yesterday was her second visit, and she does a fabulous job. I've lived in my house for 12 years and never really knew where to put things. Where ever things landed was where they stayed. I know it doesn't make sense to put a hand mixer on the same shelf as my pots and pans, but that's where it ended up, and that's where I kept it. Jackie helped me make my kitchen more efficient and logical, and it's been so much easier keeping it clean now that there is a place for everything. She also made it easy to get rid of stuff I didn't use any more. This past weekend she helped me clear out and organize my storage shed. What an unbelievable change. Before there wasn't room to put anything else in there. Now, not only are all my tools in one place there was room enough that I have moved items from my living room into the storage space. With Jackie's help, I plan to go through every closet and room left in my house.

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY that I finally had someone come and help me organize stuff that I should have been able to do myself but for one reason or another never managed to get it done.. Jackie was great.. I was exhuasted at the end of the three hours but was so thankful for her help. I don't have an eye for organization so it really helped having someone show me how to organize in such a way that it makes sense. I was a bit embarrassed at how unorganized my room was. Jackie never made me feel bad and it was really helpful having someone there to push me through to get things sorted in a friendly but let's get it done attitude. I am having her come back to help organize my kitchen and then the attic.. It feels good to have my room back..

It went well and I am pleased with the results.
Description of Work: She helped me re-organize my dining room after a recent kitchen reno opened a wall between the two. It is also my office so there is a lot to juggle to make it work. She came in, assessed the situation, cleared the room, then put it back in a new arrangement. I think it will fit the new situation and work and look better than it did before. Jackie is AWESOME! We continued my "decluttering" project started a couple weeks ago, working in the dining room and office. I finally have a desk that is assembled and functional. We cleared out a closet that was full of unusable junk and organized all bathroom supplies in the closet and a cabinet--now there's no more digging for toilet paper only to discover there is none! We got rid of a large amount of clutter, recycling, and trash. There is so much more room and better energy in my house now! I get so much accomplished when working with Jackie, that it is amazing. She works in a very methodical, logical fashion and keeps me focused. I finally have some motivation and desire to decorate/renovate, after 2 years of living there. Jackie has been a huge help to me. I can't wait to continue working our way through the house.

I didn't know exactly what to expect, and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive about hiring someone to help me "declutter" my home (I was imagining a bad episode of Hoarders: Buried Alive). Well, Jackie quickly put my mind at ease. I told her what I saw as the problems (boxes still sitting around--unpacked, for nearly 2 years, too much unnecessary junk, not enough storage, poor usage of existing storage, no plan/design to furniture placement, etc.) and we took a quick tour of my small home. She quickly came up with a strategy and we started. Within 4 hours, we cleared out SEVERAL boxes of old stuff and we completely reorganized my small kitchen to make it more workable and user-friendly. It was amazing how much of a difference it all made! Jackie was professional and logical. She helped me think about things in a realistic (unemotional) fashion as far as getting rid of stuff, and she helped me to get rid of stuff that I don't want or need, but for some reason was holding onto! It was such a BIG relief when the trash truck took away the enormous pile on the street! Thank you, Jackie! I will definitely continue to work with her to transform my entire house!

Jackie "Made my day, my week and my Thanksgiving!" I recently moved into a new home and had not unpacked all my boxes..Jackie very quickly and efficiently unpacked the boxes and placed items in very appropriate places making my china cabinet look very beautiful and the kitchen more user friendly. Jackie also rearranged my living room/dining room area making it much more comfortable and cozy. Even my granddaughter was quite impressed with the basket Jackie put in the hall closet for the grandchildren's hats and gloves and couldn't wait to show her father the basket when he came to get her!!! What a difference it has made in just one visit with Jackie!!! We were thrilled with how it went. She is very easy and pleasant to work with. She is a former preschool teacher so she has extensive knowledge on how to set up rooms for small children. She can both provide suggestions and advice on how to arrange furniture and communication centers for families, as well as getting dirty going through items to donate and throw away. My wife was not as excited as I was when I suggested Jackie help us, but afterwards I think she was even more pleased than me with how it went and how easy she was to work with. It was fun. We plan to have her back again as we work our way through the entire house. I believe her price is very reasonable and will allow us to work with her repeatedly. Our house is not a disaster or anything, we just are trying to make best use of space, get rid of things we do not need anymore, and try to live in a more organized way with little kiddies running around!
Description of Work: Jackie was able to come the day after my inquiry. She began by walking the entire house and asking us how we use certain rooms (although she pretty much could tell by looking at them). She made several suggestions about furniture layout to make our lives easier, especially related to keeping organized and sane with multiple small children. After reviewing the entire house she recommended where to start (which was in line with my thinking) and we began with the basement laundry/storage room. She tirelessly helped us get rid of unneeded things and arranged our storage space in a way that allows us to keep it organized in the future. It is amazing how much space we have now. We had agreed on a 3 hour visit, but things were going so well I asked her to stay an additional hour.

I am a busy mother of three small school-aged children. I was having a hard time staying on top of all of the school papers, toys, sports equipment, and other kid-related items. So I contacted Jackie. I couldn't be happier. I have worked with another organizer in the past and Jackie is the best. She is easy to work with, non-judgmental, and all of her changes have made my life much easier. On her first visit, Jackie did a walkthrough of my house and targeted which areas needed the most help. Together, we were able to organize all three of my kids' rooms, the family room and the basement. Jackie is small in stature but she is STRONG. I left her in my son's bedroom for 15 minutes and when I returned she had reorganized his bedroom furniture all by herself. Her new arrangement made the room appear much larger and created a much better flow for the room. My son was so happy when he came home and saw his new room. Since that first visit, Jackie has helped me organize my kitchen, my closet, and the home office. Getting rid of a lot of clutter has been very beneficial. However, Jackie has helped us out the most by setting up new systems for us to follow. For example, my kids' school papers used to be all over the house. Jackie set up a separate cubby for each of them to store their school papers. I have been surprised by how easy it has been for my kids to follow this system. It has helped us avoid those anxiety filled mornings where we are looking for that missing paper that has to be turned in that day. Jackie's prices are so reasonable compared to other organizers. Another plus, she helped me find items I didn't know I had, which saved me the cost of buying them again. Our next task, Jackie is going to help me get ready for the holidays. This may be the first holiday I spend with all of my items organized and ready to go.

It went very well - Jackie responded to my email inquiry very quickly and came to check out the project within a couple of days. She wasn't available to begin the project for a couple of weeks due to her high demand, but within a few hours, our goals had been accomplished. And she gave me great ideas for additional ways to clear and tame the ongoing mess from here on out. She's also much more affordable than her competitors. I had received competing quotes and decided not to purchase services, which just kept me mired in my mess. I will keep buying services from Jackie until the whole house is a nirvana of neat, clean organization!
Description of Work: My house is co-owned by a neat freak and a clutterbug, who are married to each other. And we own a business that is partially run out of our home office. I contacted Jackie to assist with a number of projects, and we decided that Phase 1 would be the office. In two sessions, she established a color-coded filing system and helped me clear out drawers and closets full of old paperwork, office supplies, and junk. I found paperwork we'd been missing (and that cost us money!) and now have such order that ordinary tasks now take minutes to complete instead of hours and headaches.Jackie is passionate about organization and very energetic. She didn't stop for lunch or to take a break - just blasted through clutter that has been accumulating for years.I'm already looking forward to our next phases!
