TDI Construction Group Inc

Heard the company has very high quality work and the owner is very hands on. Got estimates from 4 contractors with class A builder license. Three of them had very close estimates, but TDI’s was about double, even after family &Friend’s discount. Found one violation through Virginia DPOR, although it was a minor one. Drafted contract protected TDI to teeth. Appreciated TDI had contacted the county to find out we had more time, even though it was more to cover its own ground. Understood contractors could select their customers, but did not understand why the owner thought we could not afford its service. [approximate cost: $4000]

Orginal Contract signed 2/22-2015 with the promise of a start date 1-2 wks after Permits and 2-3 wks estimated duration. We gave a $500. Deposit. Sparse communications, DC government permit process,weather.excuse for delay in project Revised Contract signed 11-10-15 1-2 wks after Permit Estimated Duration 1 week. During the start of project my outdoor lighting is disconnected.The wire was left in the drive way. (Still in the driveway I can send pictures). Once again weather, lack of communications and a call to Angie's list. finally brought Scott back to "finish" project. But the Electrical work was never done. My Electric Garage Door has no electricity. My outdoor lights are not connected. There is a pile of mulch in front of the new gate. Scott came out on 2/11/16 . He told me his electrician can was not licence for DC and We have to find a electrican.I would have done this project different if this was clear up front. Now My outdoor lights don't work. Our new electric door does not work. Scott left me with the electrical connects and I have to find an electrican. Not very happy.

Went great! All work was done on time and the quality was top notch. The price was the best we found.

Scott is very professional and detailed oriented. He provided design options and was very helpful with answering all of our questions. Once the plans were nailed down he laid out the project schedule. During the construction phase, Scott explained every step of the way until the job was completed. We are very please how our vision was came to fruition.

Great! The start they gave me was the date they started work! The completion was was also righ on the money. Project manger great! Office great! 100%

Scott Adams and his crew were prompt and professional. The price was fair. They had to shore up the floor joists and add supports to the back wall of the crawl space. They also had to replace a header and replace part of the foundation wall that had been removed by a prior handyman that did shoddy work. He was helpful in explaining the procedure and provided a report in a timely manner. He was referred by Louis Yan of Louis & Associates, Structural Engineer. I would hire him again.

We were delighted. They were more than willing to work with us on design and modifications. They told us exactly how they would proceed; they implemented several suggestions we made. Work was commenced within the time frame they gave us, and proceeded right on schedule. Jon, Scott, and all their team members were extremely competent, responsive and pleasant. At no time did we feel any kind of pressure, and we felt they showed flexibility that contractors often lack. Their bid was not the cheapest, but neither was it the most expensive. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!
