I received 3 estimates from 3 different companies. I choose another company due to better pricing and greater amount of work they would perform for the better pricing. The company seems to be reputable. I would recommend them.

I first contacted St. Joseph's to get an estimate on a roof repair and they quickly came out and provided a professional, written, reasonable estimate. Unfortunately, it was in the fall of 2011 just after all the storms which meant that EVERYONE needed roof repairs and they weren't able to schedule me for several weeks. Luckily we didn't have an emergency situation and we were willing to wait. They promptly showed up on the day they were scheduled and did a great job. I really liked that they are locally owned and operated. Everyone I came in contact with was very professional and they took a lot of pride in what they were doing. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. No surprises.

I really liked the estimator; did his job thoroughly, but also engaged in conversation I enjoyed. Great personality. Had I just been choosing on the estimator I liked best I would have given him my business. His estimate was in the same ball park as other estimates from the area's most reputable customers. Comparing details, however, another top-rated company seemed to give a slightly better deal (e.g. 15 year rather than 10 year warranty) so I went with them.

Overall, the project went very well. The crew showed up on the day expected and worked at a steady pace till dark and were back on the job the next morning as the sun came up. The owner of SJR did a site visit on day one and we went over the contract items and the extras and worked out a few details on a couple of options. A couple of questions did come up as I was inspecting the work over the following several days and they sent out a very knowledgeable person to work with me to take care of a couple of items related to some caulking around the chimneys. This was not really part of the roofing project, but they took the time to help me work through it and I did appreciate that effort. During this time, they also did another site inspection of the work to make sure everything looked OK. Although these matters did stretch out the time-line on being completely finished (at least as I defined it), SJR never asked for their money until everything was done. I initially contacted SJR because they had done several of the roofs in my neighborhood over the past few years. While i know I could have found a roofer willing to work for a lower price, their track record in the neighborhood and the professional way they seemed to approach things gave me confidence that I would get a high quality job for a reasonable price. I am convinced that that is what I got.

They did a great, fabulous job. They were very professional. They came out and gave a great estimate and then they came back to inspect the property. They respected my concerns about working when there wasn't anybody at the property. They came back and cleaned up the extra nails that the guys hadn't gotten the first time. They did an excellent job in a timely manner. They cleaned up their mess. They had to match paint colors on the trim. They had to match colors of the siding too. There was a lot of effort to do a good job and I really appreciated that. They were really good.

They responded with email and phone calls. They had a backlog like most roofers and scheduled an appointment. Called to confirm and arrived when scheduled. Followed up to emailed questions promptly and with detailed information.

The difference between this company and another company is that they recommended triple vents on the roof and I already have an attic fan and they recommended one. The reason why I want a vent is because a racoon went through my attic fan and I had to pay somebody to put a screen on the fan. So I decided not to have one.

I am a renter and had a leak in my apartment after Hurricane Irene hit Northern Virginia in August. I told my landlady about the leak and she promptly called St. Josephs. Even though the roofing company was busy with all kinds of post-hurricane roofing jobs they were prompt and professional. They fit the job in right away. They quickly found and fixed the leak in the roof and left the place clean and neat. In fact, they did such a great job that my landlady is going to hire them again to replace the entire roof in the spring!

I noticed St. Joseph's trucks in the neighborhood so checked them out on-line. I was very impressed that they had a map of the area with actual houses they had worked on so you could check out their work. You just clicked on a location and the house number and street popped up. I called to set up an appointment to have someone come out and give me an estimate. The office staff answered the call promptly and was very courteous and helpful. I had someone come out within 3-4 days and he was great. He was very knowledgeable and had obviously been doing this for quite a while. He explained what I needed done and said I would receive an estimate via e-mail within a few days, which I did. I thought their price was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done and was right in line with other estimates I had received. I decided to go with St. Joseph's because of the professionalism I had seen so far, the reviews on sites like Angie's list and the quality work I had seen on the houses they had already done....and I am so glad I did. The morning I had my roof done I cleared my driveway so they could get their trucks in. They had 3-4 trucks and easily 10 workers so they could complete my roof in one day. They walked around the house and moved anything they thought may get damaged from the debris coming off the roof. They moved hot tub covers, shelves and a small utility trailer. Within 2-3 hours they had the old roof completely off and had already replaced most of the 16 sheets of plywood that were rotted under my old roof. By 5 pm they were completely done. They had replaced all my flashing, installed the new roof, moved my hot tub cover and utility trailer back to their original spots AND completely, COMPLETELY cleaned up my yard. There was not one nail, one shingle or one empty water bottle in my yard. My roof looks incredible and it was money well spent. Awesome job St. Joseph's, thanks!

St. Joseph's punctually issued proposal (neither the most nor least expensive). I signed contract. St. Joseph's scheduled work, they began within a week, left beautiful roof, cleaned-up job site very well, and 11 years later have not had a single leak or other problem. My roof has been so care-free that I had forgotten about it until a friend just asked for a recommendation.

No experience...did not even receive a return call to set up appointment for inspection and quotation.

Service people were great. Installation was done quickly and well. Only issue was the repairment arrived the gutters ordered were the wrong color. Without any fuss, the repairment returned the wrong color gutters and brought back a better color and installed them within the same day.

I was thoroughly impressed with St. Joseph's roofing from start to finish. I had researched them on Angie's List and also received quotations from an additional four companies. Their company stood out from the beginning. Providing me with a quote including an aerial reference of my house, a description of their service and many references. In addition, their pricing was almost unbelievably good. Their bid for 30 year architectural shingles was less than that of the 20 year standard shingle bid of others. They promptly followed up with a scheduling date and were so considerate as to send a very large crew of workers so it could all be accomplished in a single day (the only day I had available). But the quality of work had to be the best of all. The output was outstanding. The yard was meticulously cleaned up. The workers were considerate and polite. Bottomline, I am so proud of my new roof. Finally, I appreciate the senior appraiser who gave me the quote, the office manager, who assisted me with just the right scheduling date and even the owner who helped "pulled the project together." I could not recommend this company any higher.

St. Joseph's was responsive and professional from the beginning. Mark McShurley attended the insurance adjuster's inspection and had priced out the job in advance using satellite imagery of my house. The estimate was within $500 of the insurance adjustor's estimate. The fact that St. Joe's would schedule and commence the roof without a down payment was great. It allowed us to get moving while the insurance got figured out. The work began on schedule and was performed by a very efficient and professional crew. The foreman took the time to discuss the job with me and to complete a walk around of the house to ensure they protected any fragile items during removal of the old roof. We have an area in the back yard that would have been damaged by debris and the crew took care to ensure all the debris was diverted away from the area or taken over the front of the house. The quote included a cost for plywood and a price breakpoint if we needed over a certain amount. As it turned out we were three boards shy of the breakpoint but St Joe's gave us the lower price anyway. Workmanship was excellent, and the job was finished in one day. There were several punch list items which were resolved without issue. The followup teams were very apologetic that they needed to be there and were very concerned about our experience. They listened to our concerns and did an excellent job. My understanding is they were subcontractors to St. Joseph's, which tells me St. Joseph's does a good job picking their subs. Overall the house looks great and we are very pleased with our experience. We would be happy to recommend St. Joseph's as an excellent "A" rated firm. The price was not the lowest but the value was very good.

I think the work was done well enough as I haven’t seen it yet as it is my tenant’s home. They are pretty responsive and pretty good. I would probably use them again in the future.

I highly recomend Saint Joseph's Roofing. I have had small patch work done on my roof in the past by St. Joseph's and they were always very quick to respond and always did a good job. So when it cam time to get a new roof I first thought of St Joseph's. I will admit - I did check out some other roofing companies and after talking and meeting with some - I decided a new roof was to important to trust in some company I don't know. So I went with the folks I trusted and knew would do a good job. St Joseph's was responsive to all my questions from the first call. They provided easy to understand information on the different shingles and other products required for the Job and the warrantee information on each. St Joseph sent a highly trained representative to my home and devoleped a proposal for me to review. I established the time frame I wanted all work to be completed in and they met all requirements. They cleaned up the area after their work (and during it also) and a supervisor met me and went over any and all questions I had. I highly recomand Saint Joseph's Foofing - They have always been promp and professional each and every time I have used them - either for a small job - or the biggest one - a complet new roof!

Everything went very well. It was a very pleasant experience from the salesman, Mark to the installers. I had some questions and everything was resolved in a very professional manner. I would suggest that person that performs the final inspection be more specific when he plans to stop by and perform his inspection.

Roof materials delivered and then roof installed 10 or days later. They finished in one day and cleaned up well. The work was inspected by the owner soon after.

This is actually the second time we have used the services of St. Joseph's roofing. We had a new roof put on several years ago, and the process was seamless. We couldn't have asked for a better company to deal with. Everyone we talked with as well as the installers were professional and most qualified. They were also friendly and comfortable to work with. This last service was adding snow guards (which we had mistakenly not had done when we had the roof installed). Again, I was most impressed with the service and communication. I would definitely recommend St. Joseph's Roofing (and, in fact, have done so to several friends) for their superior work.

Pleased with the new roof and gutters. They had a very competitive price and warranty and did a good job installing the roof and gutters. They cleaned up the job site well and unlike my previous roofer I did not find any nails in the yard. This was very important to me and considering that they took thousands of nails off the roof. I'm very impressed they cleaned all the nails up. I've only had the roof a few months so I will update the report as time goes on.

My porch roof is metal and somewhat unconventional, as is the gutter system on it. The roof had leaked many years ago and I wanted to ensure that it wouldn't happen again. Plus, the gutter wasn't catching all the rain runoff, which caused soil erosion. Kevin, from St. Joseph's Roofing, listened to my problems, came out to my house, and came up with solutions to both of these problems. (Other companies I called wouldn't even work with me on this.) He caulked around the chimney, applied a liquid EPDM sealant on the roof, and came up with an ingenious method for hanging the gutter so that it now captures all of the rain. This was a small job for them but a very annoying, nagging problem for me. Kevin is wonderful to work with and easy to get in touch with. If he is unavailable when you call, he always returns your call in a timely manner. (For those who don't know, liquid EPDM is a costly product - $180 of my bill - which I knew in advance.)

Horrible. They were quick to respond and set up an appointment for my estimate, however, they never showed up for the estimate appointment. I waited over an hour for a rep from the company to arrive...no one ever did, no phone call, no email, nothing...and they're not returning my calls. I will recommend against using this company...nothing but a waste of time.
