This is the second bathroom that Ryan Reph rebuilt for me, and I would definitely hire them again.

This company is fantastic. I cannot say enough good things. In fact, I regret not posting this rave review right after they did the work. The work was done in Oct, 2012, and it is now Sept, 2013, and I am still so impressed. We chose a travertine tile with a Versailles pattern and ordered the tile from the The Tile Shop. Selwa came out and took measurements and gave us an idea how long the project would take, etc. Ryan also came out to preview. The timing worked out perfectly. Ryan Reph's crew worked hard and diligently and were professional and always polite. They were quite selective as to which tiles would look best in particular areas, as this pattern had multiple colors. The pattern was not an easy one, and this is why it is SO IMPORTANT to hire the very best. They were careful to hang plastic to minimize the dust. Our floor turned out really great. Even the spacing of the grout was done meticulously. We decided to also have them do the adjacent powder room in travertine tile, which also turned out beautifully. We will definitely use them in the future.

Ryan Reph responded to my request for an estimate and start date for this project. He had completed two other projects for me so I felf confident that he would give me exactly what I asked for and, indeed, he did not disappoint me. He scheduled the work to begin on 8/17/13 and first thing that morning Anninia arrived ready to go to work. By 4:00 PM that afternoon he was finished. He had completed exactly what I had requested, and it was done flawlessly. I am more than pleased with all the work done for me by Ryan Reph Remodeling and would not hesitate to call on them again for yet another project.

Estimate received - very, very, very high! Sticker shock!

Everyone that worked at our home was professional, competent, clean and efficient. They basically gutted the entire bathroom, and were able to remove everything with minimal impact to the rest of the house, taking care to remove all waste without tracking anything on the floors. They worked closely with us on the new design and made finding the new tub, toilet, cabinet and fixtures at a reasonable cost easy. The work began on the date promised and was completed on time. They installed a cast iron tub and tiled the walls around the tub and the floor. They installed a new toilet, vanity, mirror, and painted the remaining walls. They replaced the old baseboard heater with a sub-floor heater. There was constant communication on the work to ensure they provided us the final product we wanted. We were so pleased with their work that we hired them to install hardwood flooring throughout the upstairs bedrooms, hall and stairwell.

After getting a number of estimates, reading reviews, and contacting references, our choice of contractor for this project was an easy one. Ryan Reph Remodeling was the clear and obvious choice for us. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service was a cut above the rest. Selwa Mazouz Reph has been a pleasure to work with, and she's going with us to help us choose our tile later this week. We are really looking forward to getting our project underway, and have no doubt that Ryan Reph Remodeling will do an outstanding job for us. I will update this review again once our project has been completed. This turned out to be a longer process than expected. In part because we made changes along the way, and partly due to contractors not being able to deliver material as expected. Not a big deal because these kinds of issues are expected along the way. The bottom line is the completed project, and we couldn't be happier with our master bath. It's fantastic, and what once was a nightmare is now spa-like, with a huge steam shower, and multiple shower heads that keep one bathed in water from just about every angle. Thank you Ryan and Selwa Reph (and crew) for a job well done. Regardless of what changes we made, or issues that came up, they were there to work with us and get the job done to our satisfaction. From the granite countertops, tile, cabinets, hardware, fixtures, and the huge, special order frameless glass for the shower, it's just night and day from what it was to what it is now. It's just about perfect for us!! Communication via phone, text, or email is easy with Ryan Reph Remodeling, either with Ryan or Selwa, or the Project Lead on the job. That was important to us because we often had questions or issues along the way, and getting answers quickly put us at ease. If you are contemplating a home repair/remodeling project, I would, without reservation, recommend Ryan Reph Remodeling. You won't regret it.

They were a very reputable company and I was happy with the experience. However, their price was high for me.

Estimate was provided but decided not to use Ryan Reph Remodeling.

Introduction: We decided to use an FHA 203k remodeling loan to upgrade our 17 year old home. The 203k program is HUD's primary program for the rehabilitation and repair of single family properties. Basically a home improvement loan. Because we chose to go with a 203k loan, we needed to find a general contractor (and vendors) that were accustomed to working within the 203k guidelines. The 203k requires the contractor to buy materials, perform the work, and wait for an inspector to approve the work before receiving their payment out of escrow. We chose Ryan Reph because he was listed as an approved 203k contractor and had good reviews on Angie's List. What: The kitchen was outdated, the flooring was mismatched and old, and the stairs were out of date with the hand rails loose. We had already selected the kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, hardwood flooring, etc. so all we needed was for our general contractor to do was to do the actual work and manage the project. Personnel Experience: First, I would say that all of our interactions with Ryan and his staff were excellent. Ryan was always willing to meet with us to answer questions or give us an update. I never felt like Ryan was rushed and wanted to get out of my house. He was relaxed and friendly and took as much time as we needed to feel comfortable and to answer our questions. The main kitchen work was run by Anwar. He was friendly, professional, trustworthy, and did a good job. Like any project of this size, issues came up occasionally but Ryan and his team were always willing to look for solutions and work with us. We had some flooring that was damaged, an issue with a couple of cabinet doors, etc. but it was all taken care of in a timely and professional manner. In addition, Ryan was always flexible and willing to work with us on changes and "side work". By side work I am referring to work that we did not include in the 203k statement of work and that we paid for out of pocket. He was knowledgeable on how and what paperwork was required for the 203k. Quality of Work: We could not be happier. The kitchen looks wonderful and up to date, the flooring really POPS, and the stairs came out better than I could have hoped...they turned out to be my favorite part of the renovation! Anwar came back this last Saturday to complete the final "punch out" list. It was VERY minimal - a few door adjustments, a piece of trim - and we couldn't be happier. Why Not All A's?: The B-grade we gave was on Price. We gave a B because I am sure we could have found someone less expensive BUT there are a few factors anyone reading this review should consider when weighing our grade. 1) Ryan has a Class-A license, 2) Ryan has done many 203k's...critical if that is the route you are going, 3) they do great work. I do NOT consider the B grade to be a bad thing. Summary: I would highly recommend Ryan Reph Remodeling. As a matter of fact, I already have. Especially for any 203k remodeling jobs. Great job Ryan and Anwar! It was great working with you guys.

They were professional and prompt and responded to my questions and request for a quote in a timely manner. We decided to go with another contractor due to cost.

The project from concept to completion went very well. The estimate for the project was based on fixtures that were mid grade which resulted on end price slightly higher than projected. The suppliers working with Ryan and his team were very professional and well informed as was the installers. The tile work was exceptional. The time estimate from demo to completion was right on. The work was completed with minimal disruption in the day to day activities of the household.

They were professional and knew what they were talking about. They knew what I was looking for and had good ideas. We chose them because their price was better than other contractors. They will start work on the remodeling in June.

They were responsive; prompt with calling back and making appointments.

They were really nice and came out quickly. However, it was a time line issue and I did not hire them for that project. I would consider using them in the future.

Selwa came to our condo and took measurements to provide an intial quote on the project. Once we signed a contract, then we worked on the details and schedule. Selwa was prompt and professional and had alot of really good ideas and vision for our project. After all the materials were ordered, Ryan met with us and reviewed in detail each aspect of the job, he also pointed out potential problems and issues that may arise once the demolition was complete and we could see where the pipes were behind the drywall. Antonio and Marvin arrived on the first day. They were prompt and professional. They prepared the area and took care to cover our floors and furniture in the adjacent room. At the end of the day, Antonio would show us the progress and explain what would be accomplished the following day. They took care to sweep and pick up the area at the end of each day. Ultimately the job was finished on time. Antonio is a very hard worker and wanted everything done to perfection. We ran into a problem with epoxy grout on marble tile, which turned the marble yellow in parts. Ryan was more than willing to resolve the issue and offered a discount or an attempt to redo the marble floor but to have it sealed prior to the installation. Ultimately we have the tile sealed and it looks much better. We ran into a few financial discrepancies between our accounting along the way, but Ryan was always approachable and more than happy to explain the charges and make sure everything was accurate. We have already referred Ryan Reph Remodeling to a friend and will certainly go to them again for our next project.

Selwa was very prompt. Immediately took measurements and offered ideas that fit her design perception. However, I was a little surprised when I asked what could be done with an approximately 6 foot area of the basement and the answer was "I don't know...put in a mirror and a coat rack?" Somewhat resolute in her approach, mildly contrary to my vision, and every-so-slightly antagonistic, I decided to go a different route. This would not have been a good match.

Couldn't be happier with our kitchen remodel. We completely gutted our kitchen and removed a wall and Ryan and his crew handled all of it with ease. Our project lead was Drew - he was skilled, knowledgeable, precise, and completely professional. Ryan was completely organized, always knew what his crew was doing and constantly checking in with us to make certain we were happy with how things were going. His crew kept the place neat, cleaning up after themselves every night. Highly recommend Ryan Reph Remodeling.

Fabulous contracting experience! When the derecho hit , we were without power for a week and they pushed back our initial start date without a word of complaint regarding their schedule. Once they started doing work for us, we doubled the size of the project since we were so very pleased with their work, We have a few more projects to do and look forward to working with them in the future!

We met with 3 companies that came in with low, medium and high estimates. We went with Reph remodeling because we were comfortable with the price (medium), found Selwa to be pleasant with good suggestions and had a willingness to work with us. This would be our first professionally done remodeling effort and we were pretty clueless on how to begin, what to expect etc. I knew we wanted some hand holding to help guide us through the selection process to best achieve the end result I hoped for. What I did not understand in the beginning is that many, maybe all remodelers are affiliated with a store for different kitchen components. Reph Remodeling had us working with a specific person in a specific store of Cabinet Discounters (CD) and the same situation for tile and counter. The staff at CD (Dana, who was the best to work with) did the graphic lay-outs of the "new' kitchen and worked with us on cabinet selection, color, cabinet interiors etc. We also purchased our counter top material from Dana. Same with the person at the tile store. Eventually, Dana came to the house to do final measurements and could then see what was to be accomplished in what amount of space - very helpful especially since Ryan came by as well and the 2 of them were able to work out some questions on space that allowed us to get a corner cabinet with lazy susans as well as a double bowl sink. No matter who your contractor is be sure to check drawings and sizing of cabinets carefully. The Reph team that came every day to do the work were very nice, were respectful of our home, cleaned up well every day and called me when there was a doubt about something. Among other things this was very helpful in my getting a nice balance of door knobs and drawer pulls instead of all knobs. Ryan was also very helpful in coordinating his teams work with another contractor who would be refinishing our hard wood floors in the kitchen.The job was finished just a few days later than estimated. Although Ryan and Selwa responded to my calls in good time I would have liked them to have initiated calls to keep me informed on when the new components for the kitchen arrived and were in storage or a phone call to say we were on target for the start date. Especially because my husband understood that there was some question as to whether the cabinets and especially the counter material would arrive in time for the start date. The start date was provided in the contract before new component selections began. We made our selections shortly after signing the contract (we were limited to looking on weekends). We selected cabinets and counter first and 2 weeks later the tile. We selected the tile quickly because we were given a sense of urgency to make our tile selection to have it arrive on time. As a result we did it in about an hours time and without Selwa - don't do that! Selwa offered to go with us, but it was a Saturday and I wasn't sure I should bother her since we were meeting with a store professional. But in hind sight it would have been helpful because Selwa had seen our kitchen and could have helped translate my ideas with her knowledge of the kitchen. Don't rush your selections of any component and make use of your contractors decorating insight.In summary, I would hire Reph Remodeling again and have recommended them to friends already.

They’re very good and very professional. They do very good work. I will most definitely use them again in the future.

We had them come in on a few separate occasions to provide an estimate for our kitchen remodel.

They arrived on time and were very professional. They offered a detailed spreadsheet for the estimate and I really liked that.

While we didn't end up choosing Ryan Reph, we did appreciate the information provided to us. A price breakdown was provided that was very detailed and allowed us to figure out exactly what each individual component in the remodel as far as labor would cost. Selwa was very nice and very knowledgeable about what it took to remodel the bathroom and even provided suggestions on things to do that weren't considered before contacting them. I would recommend them as a company to consider when it comes to remodeling the bathroom.

Selwa and I played phone tag for a couple of times before we could get an estimate scheduled. She seemed to be only able to come out at the end of the day (which felt like it was after working a full-time job). That feeling was a little reinforced when she came out in an unmarked car (rather than a company car). It felt like the remodeling business was a side business; that impression might be totally wrong. Selwa came out and walked through my project. She had some good ideas, asked lots of questions, and took lots of measurements. She got quite a bit into the details which was really helpful. Although the quote that she provided was competitive with several other contractors, I decided to go a different way for a couple of reasons: 1) My concern about whether this was her (and her company's) full-time job was a big one 2) Some of the conversation just seemed a little off. For example, at one point she said about the areaway, remember we don't do any landscaping.... you will have to take care of that. We had never discussed the landscaping but I would have expected the area around the areaway to have been restored to its original condition. 3) Some obvious things were missing from her quote. For example, all of the other contractors included insulation for the basement walls - but not her quote. Also, all of the other contractors quoted flooring - she did not. End of the day, Selwa seemed very competent and professional but I decided to go a different way.

Ryan's work is always superb. He has good knowledge of construction, and is always honest. His wife, Selwa, who usually does the initial consultation and provides estimates has a good sense of interior design, and is always full of good ideas and practical advice. Adam, is one of their main crew members, is very dedicated and hardworking They used to price themseleves cheaply about 8 years ago, but over time, their price has gradually creeped up . However, considering the quality of work that they do, they are definitively worth the price. I would definetly use them again for any remodeling job
